Welcome! Our ground level suite is bright, clean, and spacious. It is fully equipped with everything you need to ensure your stay is comfortable and you feel right at home. We are located in the heart of Walnut Grove (Langley) which is a very safe, quite, and peaceful residential neighbourhood.

Our spacious 1 bedroom suite features a den (office) and a walk-in closet off the bedroom. We have a fully equipped kitchen with full size appliances and a breakfast bar. The living room features a cozy gas fire place and a double size foldable sofa bed. Enjoy the private patio, shared backyard, and many trails and parks near by!

Private entrance through the side gate and backyard. You will be given the code to the entrance of the suite for self check-in.

Private parking (2) is available on the driveway along with plenty of free street parking on premise. We are conveniently located to many local stores and wonderful restaurants and only 5 minutes drive away from Hwy #1 access. 4) The safety and security of our guests and neighbors are of top concern. Therefore, ONLY registered guests may stay in the unit. Once checked in, no switching of registered guests with non-registered guests.
5) Smoking, candles, BBQ grilling or campfires are NOT allowed in the unit or on the property.
6) All lights, fans, small appliances and electronics must be turned off when not in use and when going out.
7) Pets are NOT allowed in the unit or on the property.
8) Please respect the neighbors by keeping the noise level down in the unit and outdoor areas. Enforced neighborhood quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.
9) Parties or drug use are NOT allowed in the unit or on the property.
10) Any damage beyond normal wear and tear will be charged against the security deposit, including: lost or damaged linens or towels; broken furnishings; commercial cleaning needed for soiled upholstery/bedding or to remove offensive cooking odors, etc.
11) Bringing in and using any portable cooking appliances (ex. slow cooker, hotplate, air fryer, grill, etc.) to the unit or on the property is not allowed.
12) All food waste should be promptly placed and locked in the garbage container just outside the unit to avoid attracting pests.
13) No excessive laundry or doing laundry for non-registered guests. Please do not use the outside deck railings or patio chairs to dry clothes. Also, no laundering of any horse riding accessories, including: horse blankets, wraps, bandages and saddle pads.
14) This unit is privately owned; by accepting the reservation, guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless the owner for any liabilities, theft, damage, cost or expense whatsoever arising from or related to any claim or litigation, which may arise out of or in connection with the guests’ use and occupancy of the rental property, including but not limited to any claim or liability for personal injury or damage or theft of property which is made, incurred or sustained by guests.
15) Falsified reservations: Any reservation obtained under false pretenses or for third parties will be subject to forfeiture of the advance payment and the group will not be permitted to check-in. They must go through mediation with the booking website for resolution.

The carriage house is located in a quiet residential area, just a short walk from Langley's charming shops and restaurants.

The living room features a comfortable sofa that can convert to a queen sized bed, a flat-screen TV, and electric fireplace - the perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring! The bedroom is outfitted with a plush queen-sized bed, cozy linens, and ample closet space. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and tub combo, sink with vanity, toilet and plenty of fluffy towels.

Parking is available for one vehicle on the driveway or there is additional free parking on the street. The carriage house has a private entrance for added privacy.

- "Only 1 out of 3 baseboard heaters worked. Neither the beadroom baseboard heater nor the bathroom heater worked. There was not one in the living room. There was a gas fireplace in the living room that worked most of the time but the breaker had to be reset at one point because there was no power. I messaged on two different days to ask about the heat and did not get a response. The week I was staying had extremely cold weather and I had to make double ziplock bags with hot water to warm the bed. The water was very hot. The shower head/sprayer was not functioning. I had a lot of hot baths. The washing machine was extremely dirty and smelly and the dryer seems to not be venting properly. I knocked on the main house door because I had trouble with the door code. The owner was friendly."

The room is ground floor room, right beside the shared bathroom , on a queen size bed with beautiful antique furniture.
We’re in historical Fort Langley. Our unique home is within walking distance of the Fort Village, with its many delightful shops and restaurants. Bus stop, only a five minute walk, garden views from your window.
Quiet neighbourhood, no traffic noise .

The space
This room is an original '70's room with the '70's style flooring - Cushion Floor, it was called. The queen sized bed boasts of a quality new quilt topper so it is comfortable. There’s a closet a computer table, dresser and shelves for storing your dry food should you be staying for a time. Feels cozy but spacious 😀
Absolutely no eating or drinking drinks that stain in room.

Guests are welcome to use our cooking facilities including stove, oven, microwave, pots, pans, plates etc. Please clean up after!
Also, one days notice required for the use of our washer and dryer. ONCE a week only.
Iron and board are available.
The bathroom is shared and very clean thanks to my beautiful wife!
We provide coffee and a cold cereal breakfast in the morning, up to 11am. That is a do it yourself project. If you don't drink all the coffee, I'll have a cup when I get up! And if you like, you can watch TV with my wife. She likes Wheel of Fortune, The Price is Right and 70's movies/TV shows - no violence or swearing in those. I prefer sports and movies...

During your stay
Generally, my wife and I are available to answer questions about the local area and what things there are to see. For example: A local pizza place called JIM'S PIZZA has an excellent product. One visitor raved about his first ever pizza from "Jims". He even offered to share. My wife and I just smiled and said, "Yes, we know! Enjoy!" It's a pick up and delivery style pizza place.
We are older folks and enjoy talking to new friends.

Other things to note
Fort Langley was the first capital of BC and there are two museums, a Farm Museum and The Langley Centennial Museum. (The Farm Museum closes for the winter...that is what farmers do - they close for the winter) and, an old style Fort - Fort Langley National Historical Site. This Fort duplicates what happened many years ago in the pioneer fur trading era. The BC Farm Museum (in season) is huge with so much historical 'stuff' of interest in it - even an airplane, used to spray the crops, is hung from the ceiling!
Many who come here enjoy the Fort to Fort Trail both for walking and bike riding. It goes right along The Fraser River and passes the Fort Langley Golf course - one of four in this area.
A five minute drive will take you to a Municipal Recreation facility where there is a full sized swimming pool, a hot tub, sauna, gymnasium for basketball, badminton and table tennis...Ping Pong, for some!
The town of Fort Langley has much to offer for those who like antiques and old 'stuff'. There are several such stores here.
The Fort Pub is within walking distance - about 15 minutes there and 20 back....
