They wrote a message to me a day before arrival stating there is no internet, and call them for the check in details. There was not an “I am sorry for your inconvenience.,..” They did try to have a company fix it. And after 4 days without, they had someone drive up a hot spot box. We used our own data for days. When I asked for dish soap the owner said to go buy it. I kindly suggested that since they had not provided the internet for 4 days, it would be kind to get soap for us. Their response was that the internet is free service they offered, not the house rental. What they didn’t understand is that they advertised a place with Internet. The husband is also was very unfriendly upon check in. I had to text, what apartment number, and then again what is the code. He seemed so put off that I asked. He is a rude man without hospitality skills. The apartment is tiny. Only good to comfortably have 3 person. This was also written in another review and it is accurate. A con is the “Ikea like” remodeled and close to town by path."

The owners really care that you enjoy your holidays and there is that perfect balance between knowing that you can reach out, if needed, while also feeling like you are in your own private chalet. With ages from 3 upwards we found plenty to do in the vicinity from a lovely animal park, to thrilling luge rides, gentle walks, to the cave and train ride at Lourdes and the relaxing spa - we packed a lot in! With the stunning vistas from the large picture windows it was even warm enough (Late Oct) for some sitting out on the veranda watching the lizards warm themselves in the sunshine. The witches on the Halloween parade in the town was as memorable as the beautiful carousel for the little ones. The bedrooms were clean and thoughtfully decorated and with most rooms ensuite - everyone had their own space. The host was warm and welcoming. All in all a perfect family holiday."

- "We loved our stay in this gite. The house was very comfortable and in a convenient location for our walking holiday. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi & sauna. The owners were friendly and helpful. No complaints with the house itself. My lower rating for the online listing relates to the fact that the UK website does not specify that you have to take your own sheets and towels. (The listing on their French website does specify this, so I think this is an error on the UK site). This was an issue for us as we were travelling by plane and we would probably not have booked the gite if we had know in advance. The owners very kindly lent us sheets. Hopefully the website will be updated accordingly."

Upstairs, you’ll find three comfortable bedrooms, a bathroom with bathtub and toilet, and a separate shower room. The mezzanine level adds an extra sleeping space, ideal for kids or groups.

Our cottage will offer you generous sunshine with superb mountain views. This house with its authentic history to discover, offers you all the comforts in the spirit of the mountain cottage with a sincere and warm welcome.

The space
Our cottage offers a living room on the ground floor of 50 m2, with a very equipped kitchen with island / bar, a living room with a pellet stove, large TV screen, a smart speaker with radio, a beautiful spacious dining room to enjoy moments of conviviality with family and friends. You also have a bathroom with toilet and a storage room with washing machine and dryer.
Upstairs you can relax in 2 bedrooms, the cocooning room with 1 bed of 160 for 2 people , the other family room with 1 bed of 140 for 2 people and 2 beds of 90 for 1 person , ideal for 6 people with the possibility of having 8 beds using the mezzanine with a comfortable sofa bed, all rooms have mountain views, you will discover the superb bathroom equipped with a shower and a Balneo bathtub, optional , linen and bath sheets can be provided.
Outside you have a beautiful 35m2 terrace, with a canopy with evening dining spots, with barbecue and garden furniture.

You benefit from an open garage for the shelter of a car with electric connection and private parking. You have in front of the cottage the free shuttle bus stop for access to the city center. 300 meters from the cottage, you have the bike and pedestrian path as well as the mountain trails
