A one hour drive away is beautiful and famous Cave Postojna. The Postojna Cave is a 20-km long karst cave system, a web of underground passages, galleries and chambers, which has in almost 200 years been visited by over 33 million people accompanied by experienced cave guides. Close to Postojna is Stud Farm Lipica as the cradle of all Lipizzaner horses in the world. Nowadays it is one of the most beautiful cultural and historical monuments of the Republic of Slovenia, its rich history reaching back to the year of 1580.

ADVENTURE PARK IN MOUNTAIN KRVAVEC: 10 km away is the mountain Krvavec, where is the summer, autumn adventure park, to explore adventures like trampoline, cycling park, mountain cart descent, mountain roller descant, climbing tower, frisbee golf, archery and the tube descent. Beside this is also hiking and mountaineering very atractive.

LOCAL HIKING AND MOUNTAINEERING: Preddvor, Slovenia is a small tourist village located at the foothills of Storzic (2132m) – the highest mountain in Kamnik - Savinjske Alps at an altitude of 478 m. The village has a very rich cultural and natural heritage, in its vicinity there are four castles. Each of them is unique, beautiful and has its own history.

Around the lake Crnava is a special forest footpath surrounded by 29 exotic type of trees that gives you special feeling of relaxing nature.

Preddvor is also a perfect starting point for hiking and mountaineering to various tours from easy to difficult such as St.Jacob hill (961m), Potoska gora(1283m), Javorjev vrh (1434m), Kalisce (1540m), Storzic (2132m) and many others.

Chalet Tricorno is located in the upper part of the Radovna valley in the heart of Triglav National Park. With its location, it is a good starting point for hiking and mountain climbing in the Julian Alps. It is also close to the trout-rich Radovna River and Kreda Lake.

The house was renovated in 2019 as far as possible. The house is very popular with families with children, as it has plenty of space inside and outside, it is easily accessible and a great base for exploring the sights of the Slovenian Highlands u. a. Bled, Kranjska Gora and Planica.

The chalet is about 20 minutes driving distance between Bled and Kranjska Gora. The motorway junction Karawanken Tunnel (border between Austria and Slovenia) is only 15 minutes away. Public connections are in Mojstrana (bus) and Jesenice (train).

The chalet is located in a quiet environment surrounded by woods and meadows. No traffic! From the house south direction offers an open view of the Pokljuka mountain range with peaks over 2000m. The Radovna valley is located in the northwestern part of Slovenia within the Triglav National Park.

The house is used most of the time by our family and sleeps 4 people. More people can be accommodated upon request. The exterior of the chalet follows the traditional look of the Slovenian highland houses, with individual elements which in particular provide ample light and great views to the outside. The interior of the house follows the local materials and is thus made of wood, brick and stone. The house has two floors. The ground floor has the entrance area, the kitchen and dining area, the lounge area with open fireplace and the bathroom and a storage room. The access to the upper floor leads via a staircase and leads you to two bedrooms, one south facing another towards north. Around the house are forest and meadows. The house has a shed, which serves as a storage and gear room.

The nearest restaurant is the Psnak in Radovna. The nearest shops (open Mon to Sat)can be found in about 4km away Mojstrana. Other shops can be found in Jesenice, Kranjska Gora and Bled. From Radovna you can reach the main venues of the most famous winter sports competitions in about half an hour by car: the Ski World Cup in Kranjska Gora (Feb or March), the Biathlon World Cup on Pokljuka (Dec) and the Ski Jumps in Planica (March). All these places offer between December to March also opportunities for recreational winter athletes. In Mojstrana you will find the Slovenian mountaineer museum. Other museums can be found in Jesenice and the capital Ljubljana, which can be reached in less than an hour by car.

This is a lovely house in the extremely sought after village of Ukanc within walking distance to Vogel Ski resort Gondola.

This house is at the end of the street so no passing cars at all.

Ground floor: There is a good sized open plan living, dining and kitchen area with French doors leading to the gardens and terrace. There is also a WC and a bathroom plus a storage area. Large wood burning stove for the winter après ski nights.

First floor: There are three bedrooms, the main bedroom has French doors to a balcony with terrific mountain views. Remaining 2 bedrooms are attractive twin rooms.

Lower ground floor: A newly installed sauna, together with an adjoining shower are and utility area for washing machine and dryer.

The gardens are lovely, a grassed area and covered terrace and also a Pergola and seating area. A short walk through the woods will get you to the shores of Lake Bohinj and all that this area has to offer. Vogel ski resort (Gondola) is 750m away on foot.

The space

Chalet is entirely made form natural building materials with an artistry feel to it and has lots of love. The house has three floors, the upper floor has 2 single bedrooms and one master bedroom with a king sized bed. On the lower floor there is a big bedroom with 2 single beds that both have an additional mattress underneath to pull out that offer 2 more comfortable beds to sleep in. In the middle floor is the living area with a bread oven in the center of the room, providing warmth and charming sparkles of the enchanting fire. There is a bathroom with a shower on the middle floor, and from the living room you can exit onto the terrace.

Chalet provides romantic night views at the stars, and relaxing moments in sauna with color therapy or whirlpool, to fill your batteries with new energy.

You can also enjoy in the art, that the house is filled in, with lots of watercolor-paintings and pottery made by the owner. The chalet was hand made and was build with a lot off love.

The neighborhood

This charming wooden chalet can accommodate 8 guests and is located 1004m above sea level in the middle of beautiful nature on the Rogla mountain, near the Ski Center Rogla. The Rogla mountain is a national and climate park that provides spectacular views and activities all year round. You can see and enjoy lots of small lakes, typical forestry, old forests and waterfalls. It is good to visit anytime in the year, and enjoy the nature and fresh air.

Chalet has a very good position for taking walks or hikes in the beautiful Rogla forests, bicycling, skiing, cross country skiing, and golf playing in the vineyards in Slovenske Konjice. Ski Center Rogla is only 10 minutes away, as is the well known SPA Center Zrece.

Other things to note

Local turist tax applies 1,3 EUR per person/night (0,65 EUR per child/night), with the application tax of 3,5 EUR per person, is to be calculated/collected at your arrival. Taxes may be subject of change.

House Rules

Our wish is for our guest to right feel at home and take good care of the house as if it were theirs. Smoking inside the house is not allowed, guests can enjoy a huge terrace that is perfect for sunbathing and other activities. Parties are not allowed, and we urge our guest to be very careful when lighting the bread oven or candles inside, as the house is made from wood. No shoes are allowed in the house as well and our guests have to maintain the cleanliness inside and outside the house. Small pets are allowed upon prior announcement. Please follow the instructions when using the sauna and whirlpool. All other instructions for electronics, heating etc. will be given to you and explained at your arrival.

The daily breakfast at the adjacent hotel with relaxing with outdoor seating was well worth the extra cost (Thanks Anna). A brief walk (3 mins) to the lake's stunning shore for daily swimming and the lake trail head. Easy walk to Vogel cable car, Savica falls, and two local restaurants. She brought us many local delicacies and was happy to answer all questions and provide recommendations. The house is large and comfortable for families. The yard area is another asset; the kids could play while we enjoyed dinner and drinks on the patio. There is a wonderful restaurant steps away and the lake is short drive (less than 5 minutes/ 2k). Nestled in rustic alpine ambiance, a spacious bedroom with balcony unveils breathtaking views, while additional cozy space boasts a bed and reading corner. The house has great energy. In wintertime you can enjoy the warmth of the wooden furniture and cosy feeling with with the old ceramic stove. If you like to cook you’ll love the fully equiped kitchen with good utensils. I like ro cook myself so I understand the importance of a great kitchen. The outdoor terrace and garden offers the best combination of privacy and fabulous panoramic views.

The lovely cottage-like house is divided into two floors. On the ground floor, there is a rather spacious living room that opens into the terrace. Its open-plan layout is furnished with a large L-shaped sofa, a dining table with 6 seats, a flat-screen TV, an ambient fireplace and an open kitchen. The contemporary-style kitchenette is ideal for stress-free cooking. It has a Dolcegusto coffee machine, an oven, a cooker hob, an electric kettle and a fridge with a freezer.  For storage, there is a closet in the hallway on this floor.

Location
 
The vacation rental is located at an altitude of 800 meters in the picturesque village of Preserje. There are many hiking and walking tours through the forest where guests can acquaint themselves with the surrounding areas and pick fresh fruits native to the land. There is also a lake nearby (200 meters) which is ideal for swimming and fishing. Guests can buy a daily ticket worth 20 Euros to fish in the lake. There is also a restaurant at 200 meters and a local produce market about 3 minutes’ drive from the house. The local farmers rent their horses which is a good way to explore the nearby villages and trails. During winters, the cross-country slopes (about 500 meters from the house) makes for a great skiing destination.
 
Since the capital city of Ljubljana is only a short drive from the house, guests are well-placed to explore the city and its many offerings. This includes the main square, castle, the Triple Bridge, the Dragon Bridge, Tivoli Park, churches and museums. The fascinating world of underground caves that are typical of the Karst region is worth exploring on a day trip.
 
The nearest airport is about 40 kilometers from the house. 

There is 1 bedroom, a common room for two people on the sofa and one bedroom with bunk .

Located in the middle of Triglav National park, surrounded by woods, the lake, it's an exellent starting point for visiting mountains.

It's located 15 minutes from parking spot, road tax is 20 € per every enter/day, but as my guest you will have free parking at the Vogar, Blato and Voje parking lots.

Electricy in the house is from solar panels.
Warm water is heated with wood, so you need to save energy and water.
Tourist tax (2,5€ per adult per day/1,25 € per child 7-18 years) is not included in the price. It is paid on the spot.

Additionally, experience the best of wine tasting and tours, with the amazing Jeruzalem Wine Park just a 13-minute drive away.

Consider day trips to the medieval town of Ptuj, Slovenia's oldest as well, just a 45-minute drive away; the Grad Castle, less than 30 minutes and the biggest in Slovenia along with visiting the curious Goričko Nature Park in Grad; or the city with the oldest drop of wine in Slovenia, Maribor, approximately 50 minutes away. The space
A beautiful 2 bedroom chalet in the middle of the woods, overlooking an idyllic clearing and Bohinjska Bistrica below. Bohinj lake is 7km away - you can access it by car or via wonderful bike lane that follows the river. The house is a great starting point for hiking - surrounding hills are just gorgeous!

We can host 7 people, but can squeeze 2 or 3 more if you are comfortable with foldable beds. Both bedrooms are in first floor. One has a balcony, the other features a window with a really nice view.

Guest access
Living area is on the ground floor - it features a nice fireplace and a big table, sofa under the stairs and a TV. There is also a small but nice kitchen and a bathroom.

You can access a big terrace directly from a living area. The place is perfect for an outside dinner or just for chilling and reading books.

There is no internet, but you can connect at most of the restaurants/bars in Bohinjska Bistrica. If you really need internet, there is some cheap mobile versions available.
