- "It was amazing! " - "I've preferred here beacuse it is close to istanbul where i live, and it has pool and beach together and I didn't regret! Location is excellent, it is far from the crowd and built environment of Buyukada, if you want to enjoy the nature. I've arrived there by shuttle, then taken a walk around 5-10 minutes. It is also possible to go there by boat. I didn't prefer to go to the center while I stay. I like how the rooms located. The main building has the most rooms but when you go down to the hill, they've used inclination and built group of rooms with the view of the sea. It could be great if you travel as a crowded group because those units have common patio. Beach area is very large, crowded on weekends but noone disturbs anyone, everyone is having fun in a respectful way. There is a dj show, I really enjoyed. Sea is clean, staff is friendly and always helpful. Rooms are well decorated, has a great view. Breakfast is not bad , simple Turkish breakfast, I just would like to have scrambled eggs or omelette, coffee is not included in breakfast. Also, need to mention the cats, they were soo sweet, there was also a mother cat with three babies! Staff was so kind to them, they were able to be with us anytime. In general, I really liked to stay in The Roof Ada, I would definetly stay there again, It's a great easy escape from the stress of Istanbul"

Why the reception couldn’t be moved elsewhere to a more appropriate location, I have no idea. Eventually, was offered a different and lower grade room. After moving, we discovered the room was very shabby and unhygienic. Throughout our stay, no one came to clean the room. In fact, the room was so substandard that after the first night we booked a different hotel and stayed there for the rest of the trip. A shame, because the location was excellent, the historic building was beautiful, and breakfast was good. However, there is no excuse for offering unhygienic rooms or no room cleaning. An overpriced hotel for what is being offered."

- "This was perfect for my first time overnight on the island. The location is a nice walk from the town center on the main road. This end of the island is quiet with mainland and sea views. My hosts Özlem and Ismail were welcoming and attentive. The hotel is a 200 yr old mansion that is furnished with lovely antiques. My room was comfortable and had the most incredible seaviews (sunrise too). I dined for dinner there and pasta was delicious and the wine selection quite good. I included breakfast (kahvaltı) in my stay and it was well worth it. I hope to stay here again as it was a very good experience. "

- "Host and Hostess kind, hospitable, accommodating, provided my Thai girl and I an upgrade in room simply because a better room was available on the first floor, seating outside was ideal for breakfast and a cold beer at the end of the day, and no problem to extend a day (which we did) and walked the entire island end to end one day, then circled back the next day to cover more territory. We may very well go back two weeks hence; been in Istanbul and Bodrum three months now, not looking forward to going home to boring Boston!"
