- "Had short five night stay here. Overall it was excellent. We were on an all inclusive basis. Our room was a very large king bed room not with a pool view and was overlooking a walkway down to the beach. This was not a problem as there area is generally quiet and for the amount of time we actually spent in the room the extra cost of a pool view was not worth it. The choice of food was excellent. Catering for all tastes and of a high quality in all restaurants. Staff were excellent. Drinks were also excellent with all options on offer including well known brands. Pool area was excellent and immaculate. Pool staff were friendly and helpful. The only two negatives for us were the evening entertainment and our check-in experience. The evening entertainment was not particularly varied and amounted to the RIU activities crew dancing to a variety of themes. The crew themselves were very enthusiastic but a wider variety would be good. Our check-in seemed to takes ages. This I believe was down to a brand new member of staff who clearly had been left to it and was not fully up to speed. Eventually we got to our room and it was not ready. I actually think she’d given us the wrong room as we were unable log into the RIU app under that room. We went for lunch and the room issue had been resolved after a revisit to reception and contact with a competent receptionist. Would not hesitate to return. "

They are expensive, but it is a five star hotel. The classical guitarists played to the guests eating lunch outside around the pool, and in the lounge bar in the evenings and were brilliant, very talented, playing relaxing tunes perfectly suited to the environment. There is an night-club that is decked out better than most of the new clubs in London, a cigar lounge, a health spa, you can organise jet skiing, four-wheel driving, golf days ... almost anything you want. - "Great little stay with family and friends. I was apprehensive before travelling due to some reviews but fears were laid to rest early. I'll start with the reviews from others. The noise from the night club. Our room eas located right above the front of the club (room 4144) and could we hear it..yes! Did it stop me, my wife or 9 and 4 year old from sleeping no. The only occasion I feel this would be a problem is if you kept your patio doors open on an evening. Next, breakfast time. Was it busy whereby people were queuing for food and there was a shortage of cups/ glasses. Yes, which was mildly frustrating but a lot of the queues were for rhe fresh eggs/ omelettes being made or for coffees. However in a hotel that size it is fully expected especially during peak times of 8:30-10:30am. We normally went for breakfast around 7:30/ 8am and it was alot quieter! Onto the rest. The staff were amazing. Nothing was too much to ask from checking in, room cleaning, table service to checking out. The food in the pool side restaurant was well priced (we only did bed and breakfast) and whilst the alcohol and soft drinks were pricier than bars on the promenade, it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. The animation staff and activities for kids were brilliant and was a welcome restbite for parents during the day. The evening entertainment was mixed. Some were good others were so so. Overall a solid hotel that is currently modernising and renovating the rooms. Will be back! "
