- "Upon arrival we received a welcome drink and checked in. The reception staff provided us with maps and information about the hotel and our luggage was taken to our room. I realised that when we got into our room, they had upgraded us to a fantastic deluxe suite (whether it was because I had just celebrated my birthday), but they never commented at check-in so this was a great start to the holiday. We booked on a half board basis and couldn't fault the choice and variety of food on the menu. For breakfast they have a separate menu for eggs, as well as a buffet for cooked breakfast, cold meat platter, yoghurt & fruit plus pastries and breads. For the evening they offer you a choice of 4 main courses, as well as a salad and dessert bar and wine menu. You were never rushed whilst eating and the staff were on hand to ask for anything extra you required. Breakfast can get quite busy so they use the Gourmet Club as an overflow to eat, rather than keep people waiting. The housekeeping services are excellent and staff were still around cleaning rooms into the evening. Towels were changed daily and everything was kept spotless, we couldn't fault anything. One of the bulbs had gone in our room so reported it and they sent staff up within no time at all to replace and check the rest out. Pool towels were supplied and again all the areas were kept clean and staff were available to bring drinks over. Would highly recommend a stay, we couldn't fault the staff or service !!!"

Usual poolside sunbed chasing, just the same in the bigger hotel, Los Jameos, which is next door. Food was good quality with reasonable choices for breakfast, evening was standard buffet offerings. - "This was my first solo trip so it was important for me to stay at a safe hotel. Hotel Fariones did not disappoint in this area. The hotel is stunningly beautiful, best place to relax and recharge. It is like being in a tropical oasis only in Europe, lovely palm trees, tropical plants, flowers an infinity pool, two jacuzzi’s, and you can have a lovely massage as I did looking out to sea. It has its very own beach however, you will need to use your room card to access the security doors to the main beach which I enjoyed very much going for a run early in the morning it’s so safe! I found the area to be safe to walk around by myself until 8/9pm some nights. Everything thing you need is easily accessible restaurants, bars, shopping etc, if you want to rent a car, bicycle, scooter you can do that too all in walking distance from the hotel. The staff are great throughout all very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Hotel Fariones. 🙂"

I would normally stay in H10 and it doesn't really compare to be honest. At H10 you get a choice of a bottle of water or glass of wine with your dinner. Here you only got a small glass of water. Room was very clean and air conditioning was also very efficient, hotel overall was well manicured which makes for a very pleasant experience. Shower size and pressure was excellent, there seemed to be a slight glitch in that occasionally where the shower water would get very hot quite quickly without having touched the regulator (Room 326). Hotel location is very good approx 4km from the port in Puerto del Carmen and something similar to the airport runway. The beach to the front of the hotel is an excellent beach and reasonably safe. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, hotel is designed to make it feel like each room is an apartment and when you leave the room you get a feeling of being outside immediately which is quite nice and takes away the claustrophobic feel of hotel corridors. Entertainment was also very good taking into account it is a holiday hotel, a lot of the performers seemed to be from Bulgaria and we really enjoyed the shows they put on and you could tell there was a lot of effort put in with limited stage and equipment to probably work with so they deserve a lot of credit. Overall its a good hotel and we enjoyed our stay."
