- "As seasoned travellers, you become more aware of what you like and don’t like when staying away. And there was absolutely nothing we disliked about the villa and plenty that we did like. It was perfect for us; a veritable ‘home from home’! The location was fantastic, right in the middle of the beautiful and green Oratava valley with wonderful views of the sea in one direction and of Mount Teide from the other. Puerto de la Cruz is only a 10 minute drive away and offers some fantastic restaurants (do try Talle Seve Dias and Mil Sabores there and the more local eateries such as Titos and Mirador in the monastery). There is easy access to the motorways so you can easily travel to other areas: there is so much to see and do here. The villa itself was far more spacious than the photos portray and had every convenience. It was completely private, not overlooked at all. It was clean and well cared for as you would expect from a quality rental, but it was more than that: it still felt like someone’s home and was cared for as such. The sofas, the pictures, the antiques, the well equipped kitchen, the powerful showers, the airiness of the rooms. The garden was something else and we took away some ideas we’d like to try at home. And Desmond was wonderful; unobtrusive but immediately there with a helpful response to any questions. We loved staying in the north of Tenerife: it is so green and lush and sub-tropical. The scenery is magnificent and drives to Mascar or up Mount Teide can be quite emotional. So would we return to this part of the world? Yes. And would we come back to Villa Jardin Botanica? On cool evenings, a fireplace ensures comfort and romance. The open kitchen is fully equipped and fits harmoniously into the living area. The spacious bathroom is also worth mentioning, because it is equipped with a so-called rain shower, so that nothing stands in the way of a relaxing wellness program. In front of the house is the terrace, directly in the green, with a view of palm trees and avocado trees. It is equipped with a large table and six chairs. Thanks for considering Cottage Hibiscus at Villa Juanita for your vacation. We are sure that you will enjoy what we hope will be one of your best vacations in Tenerife. It is very cozy and accommodates 2 comfortably. There is also room for a folding bed or a cod if you travel with a child or a baby.

Here you will be able to enjoy a relaxing breakfast in your private terrace in the shade of an avocado tree while you listen to the song of the birds and sometimes the sound of the waves crushing against the black sand of the nearby beaches. Also you can watch the stars on clear nights, it is a beautiful spectacle.

Enjoy tranquillity but close to everything. Located within a very quiet avocado plantation, the cottage is only 5 min away from La Orotava and Puerto de la Cruz; the most important touristic towns of the north of the Island and 2 min from TF-5 the North motorway that connects the north with the rest of the Island.

Criss, my wife and me will try to help you in anything you need. We have put a lot of love and dedication to ensure that you are as comfortable as we would like to be when we go on vacation.

The cottage has been built in July 2014 on a very private lot of the avocado plantation and it offers all the commodities of a modern home without loosing the charm of the wooden construction.

Try the “Pollo a la Brasa” “Grilled Chicken”; they use firewood for the grill and it is very tasty. You can walk from the property as long as you do not mind a steep hill after eating. If you go out to the main road at the Church, you walk down towards the Ocean, at approximately 200 meters you will find the restaurant right at the end of the strait stretch where the main road splits into 2 tracks. Left to Playa Bollullo or Right to Playa El Ancon. Another restaurants nearby that we can recommend are:

On Sundays you have to go to Puerto de la Cruz and there you can find “Hipertrebol” in “Centro Comercial La Cupula” or “Supermercado 2000” in La Paz or “Mercadona” in “Commercial Centre Martianez”.

Commercial Centres - “Centro Comercial Al Campo - La Villa” is the closest one (5 minutes by car) and is the largest in the North. It has a huge supermarket, many stores, cinema theatres and a few restaurants and bars. Also you can find McDonalds and Burger King. “Centro Comercial Martianez” is much smaller but it is in Puerto de la Cruz and opens Sundays.

Beaches – Close by you have three of the most beautiful black sand beaches of the north of the Island. “Bollullo”, “Los Patos” and “El Ancon”

There are lots of activities that you can enjoy and places to visit while staying at Villa Juanita.

I would recommend that you visit La Orotava (Oldest colonial town of the North of the Island dating back to 1496 and only a 5 to 8 minute drive away from the property. Here you can see The “Casa de Los Balcones” an old colonial house with spectacular wooden handcrafted balconies and a beautiful interior patio that present in all colonial houses in the Canary Islands. Also you can visit the 'Victoria Gardens', the Town Hall or the beautiful Church of La Concepcion. There are many small restaurants where you can enjoy the typical Spanish tapas or full meals or enjoy a nice expresso at the Kiosko of Plaza de la Constitucion.

Also within a 5 to 8 minute drive you can be in Puerto de la Cruz (main tourist centre of the north). Here you can enjoy a nice walk from Playa Martianez to Plaza del Charco passing by San Telmo all along the coast line. It is very touristy but very nice. Also you can visit the Botanical Gardens, enjoy a relaxing Spa at the Hotel Playa Canaria, visit the Loro Parque. Also in Puerto de la Cruz you can enjoy the salt water swimming pool complex of “Lago Martianez” designed by the famous canarian arquitect Cesar Manrrique. There is also a gambling casino, restaurants, bars, a fishing pier, etc. Bathing in the ocean can be done at Playa Jardin, San Telmo or Playa Martianez.

Don’t miss out on visiting the National Park “Las Cañadas del Teide” The road to get there as well as the National Park itself constitute one of the most beautiful volcanic landscapes of the world.

- "The place was really cosy and beautiful with a view on the sea and the Teide volcano. The pool is very nice indeed, very clean, a real highlight and just like the photos. The location is down a short farm track (very easily driveable) and is therefore far enough away from the main roads/town to be incredibly peaceful. While a car is essential, shops and larger towns are only 10 mins drive away so very convenient. We did walk a couple of times up the farm track into town to nice local restaurants. One for lunch which was only a 15 min walk away and one that was a bit further (40-45 mins walk approx) for dinner. We also used taxis a couple of times to go out for a meal at night in Puerto de la Cruz, and that was no problem at all, they are cheap and happy to come right to the door of the property. All in all, this was an excellent stay away from it all, with very nice hosts, who while available whenever required, were very respectful of your privacy (the cottage/pool is very private indeed) Thanks very much for a great time."

It is a large property with two completely different and independent houses. Each one has its own private terrace with swimming pool, from which you cannot see the other house thus giving privacy and intimacy to our clients, and each one has its own entrance through different paths.
Casa Badana has a small pool like a fountain which is a great place where to refresh and sit in its inside bench while enjoying a nice drink or snack while enjoying the nice views and quietness.
The ideal place to enjoy a relaxing stay, quiet and quiet but only 5 minutes drive from shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Ideal for an active holiday (you can walk to the beach and Puerto de la Cruz just 30 minutes walk) or just rest and disconnect from the world in a wonderful place!

We had a lovely time at Marta’s, the house itself both beautiful and comfortable, easy to tell that Marta is an interior designer, so many lovely touches. The house is nestled on a hill with banana plantations overlooking the ocean. It’s quiet and private. Marta is a wonderful host, she met us when we arrived and gave us so many tips for things to do and see on the island. She was available to answer any questions we had throughout our stay. We had a really relaxing stay, I’ll miss having morning coffee out on the veranda!

Staying at this place was a dream from start to end. My partner and I spent Christmas here and it was gorgeous. We were met by our very lovely host Marta who was fantastic, gave us lots of good tips on places to visit, she is very warm and welcoming. The house was immaculate , absolutely gorgeous decor and had beyond everything we needed to make our stay special. I would highly recommend staying here. You may need a car, but if you are looking to explore locally then there are restaurants and shops close by that can be reached on foot. It is a very beautiful area, nestled amongst banana tree plantations with fantastic views, great for walking. We will definitely be visiting again!

Our stay at Marta’s place was phenomenal! We were the first guests in the newly renovated house and enjoyed the stay so much. The house is beautiful, exactly as depicted in the pictures, well equipped with everything needed and located secluded within banana plantations giving us the perfect time out from work. The best thing was waking up in the morning with the spectacular view on the sea! Marta and her husband were great hosts, always responsive and Marta was so sweet to make little gifts for us. We can highly recommend the place and would definitely come back again :)

Although it is located on a narrow access road that requires some driving skills, it offers absolute relaxation and tranquillity with a magnificent view of the Teide and the sea. The gardeners came regularly and did a a good job, and the pool cleaner guy is very jovial and efficient. The neighborhood is very quiet and we felt very safe. In the luxurious living area there are two three-seater settees along with other seating, as well as a smart TV with Sonos sound bar and there is of course wifi in every room and the garden.

Villa Miya del Sol is located in the Caves. A quiet urbanization on the outskirts of the historic-artistic complex of Villa de la Orotava. It is located 4 km from Puerto de la Cruz, and 20 km from Tenerife North airport.
The villa owes its name to the fact that when the sun rises over the mountain located to the south of it and enters the northern sea, it is seen and enjoyed from any room in the house, as it enters through its large windows and its glass ceilings. That same spectacle can be experienced with the moon, on full moon nights.
DISTRIBUTION:
The almost 50 square meters in which the dining room, kitchen and living room are distributed openly are flooded at dusk by the sun and hours before dawn by the moon. Annexed to this room, there is an open terrace suspended in the air, from which you can enjoy Teide, the sea and the tranquility of the house.
Adjacent to the living room, there is a main bathroom, with a large bathtub and a hydromassage shower tower.
To the east of the villa, a small hallway distributes the three bedrooms that are on that level: the master bedroom has a private terrace and private full bathroom with hydromassage shower. In this bathroom, while you shower, you can enjoy the sun and the moon, which enters through its glass roof. The other two rooms face south, and are protected by a mountain, through which the sun rises in the morning.
Through a spiral staircase inside, you descend to a laundry room.
If you go through the door on the other side of the lower hall, you enter the 25 square meter room, with a 1.80m bed, an armchair and a reading area. This room has access to a full bathroom with hydromassage shower.
Through the room or the bathroom, you access the outdoor barbecue area. The barbecue is traditional wood-burning. There you will find everything you need to meet and eat outdoors. If you want to do it at night and the trade wind (typical of the Canary Islands) is blowing, you can lower some canvas walls that will protect you and make your meeting a more intimate event.
From the barbecue you can access the pool area. The pool is heated and has a solarium, outdoor shower and a corner where you can read a book or simply close your eyes while listening only to the water falling in the fountain. It is an ideal place to relax and in a matter of minutes you forget everything that worried you before entering Miya del Sol. Just a few steps away, you can enter the Villa again from the upper part or if you prefer, enter through the lower part. The lower room is completely independent from the rest of the house, if desired.
The villa also has a private garage, although there is always free parking outside the house.

From the house, going up to the street above, you can find: a pharmacy, a supermarket, a restaurant (250m on foot). 100m towards Orotava, you will find one of the best butcher shops in the north of Tenerife (350m on foot).
On that same street, above the house, you can access the Humboldt Viewpoint, (500m on foot) famous for the spectacular views it offers of the Orotava Valley.
The Las Cuevas urbanization has quick access to the TF5 motorway (1 minute by car), from which you can access any point on the island of Tenerife.
There are bus stops up the street where the Villa is located (2 minutes walk: 180m), from which you can take the bus to the Orotava station (5 minutes), and from there, take the bus to different places on the island of Tenerife.
The villa is located very close to a virgin beach, called Bollullo, just 5 minutes by car from Loro Parque, Lake Martianez.

- "Really enjoyed this property! The views were gorgeous, and it is a convenient spot if you want to drive up to El Teide. The area was really quiet, peaceful, and private. The host was very responsive and helpful for local tips/suggestions. The bedrooms are very cozy as well! The property is up in the hills so be prepared for a steep climb up the road before getting to the driveway (depending on which way you come from), but there was no problem using the rental car to get up there and had an adequate parking spot. There is a big open room/space downstairs including the kitchen, garage, living room, and gym space, which was fun! The rooms and patio are upstairs with a beautiful view, and there was a wardrobe in the room which was great for space. The garden/yard space was also nice and cute! Bring a jacket, as the island weather up in the hills can be chilly periodically. The owners were really wonderful people, and it was such a joy to stay here! Even if it is a 15 to 20 minute drive to Puerto de la Cruz, the peaceful location and affordable price was definitely worth it. Plus, it gives the opportunity to see some of the other small towns which feel more local and are fun to explore. Thank you friends for giving such a wonderful stay! Would definitely come back!"
