Trotzdem zentral um die Insel zu erobern. Ein Auto ist allerdings empfehlenswert. Für Wünsche und Fragen waren Gudrun und Urs jederzeit offen und sehr bemüht, das es uns gut ging. Die Casita entsprach zu 110% der Objektbeschreibung (sogar Föhn und Bügeleisen sind vorhanden). Wer sich dort nicht wohlfühlt, ist selber schuld! Our penthouse is located opposite the beach of La Caleta de Interian (Garachico), in the 2nd floor of a luxurious apartment building, with a beautiful view of the ocean bay. The penthouse, renovated in 2010, offers all comfort, the kitchen and bathroom equipments are full as you can see it on the pictures. 2 south and north facing terraces, each one of 15 sqm, equipped with electric blinds, tables, chairs, hammocks, invite to enjoy delicious meals under the sun. By the pedestrian dyke you walk along the coast towards to the banana plantations, or to the quaint village where you will find restaurants, shops, etc. 300 m away you will find a supermarket and a bus stop. Both Los Silos and Garachico are near enough to walk easily. From Los Silos we discovered a great coastal path walk and another at Buenavista - both quite exciting adventures! The village itself is authentic Tenerife community with a great beach - very quiet and peaceful. Excellent supermarket open long days except Sunday. If you want a totally relaxing away from it all holiday in a lovely apartment I recommend staying here without hesitation! We will definitely be coming to Pablo’s place again."

Garachico is located in the north-east of the island of Tenerife, where it occupies 29.28 km2 within the Icod-Daute-Isla Baja region. More than half of its territory is covered by Canary pine, volcanic landscape and an ancient cliff that separates the historic centre from the mediocrities. Garachico has a rich architectural heritage of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries very well preserved, so it was declared of Cultural Interest in 1994. It also has the title of Villa and Port, granted by King Alfonso XIII in 1916. In the area of coast of this municipality there are extensive farms dedicated to the cultivation of banana, while in midlands there is self-consumption agriculture with small properties. It also has a marina recently built next to the historic centre, which coexists with beaches of stones and black sand and small cliffs. Noteworthy are the natural pools of El Caletón, one of the most popular bathing areas, and the imposing rock that rises off its coast.

After the conquest of Tenerife, Garachico became the main fishing and commercial port of the island until a volcanic eruption destroyed it. This golden age attracted numerous families of great influence, which was reflected in the layout of its streets and the architecture of its buildings.
