But I'd like to talk about our experience at the Lac La Biche Ramada last week, from May 15 - 18th. We live in Fort McMurray, Alberta and we were evacuated due to a wildfire close to the city. I tried to book a room on the app, but at that point, our local mobile networks were overloaded and service was spotty. I called the hotel directly and managed to secure the last room available, for for 2 adults, one kid and 2 dogs. The level of service we received was top notch. All of the staff are usually helpful and cheery, but they were exceptionally more so this time. They were flooded with Fort Mac evacuees, all within a few short hours, and handled it with grace and kindness. We were informed of every local amenity available to evacuees, including free meals at local venues. They were 100% invested in our comfort while we were temporarily displaced. We were able to go back home after 3 days and when we had questions about pre-auth charges, they went out of their way to double check that everything was correct and it was quickly resolved, to our satisfaction. The Ramada is our first choice to stay when in town. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the pool is huge, well-maintained and the kids love it. The complimentary breakfast is better than most places, with a special shout-out to their waffles! Some fresh sriracha would be amazing, though. ❤️ "

OPEN NOW. Enjoy this cozy semi off grid tiny A-Frame tucked the dense forest of Westlock County. Less than an hour from Edmonton. Here you can relax on a private 2 acre parcel and enjoy the privacy of a quiet acreage subdivision that is only a couple kilometres south of HWY 18. Property is very secluded and peaceful. It has a queen size loft sleeping bunk and plenty of space to lounge on the main floor. Including a pull out couch/futon if needed. Cabin is a perfect getaway from the city and comes with a brand new beachcomber hot tub that will be running 365 days a year. It’s more of a “glamping” experience. There is no running water or bathroom. But there is an outhouse and fresh jugs are provided for the hot/cold water dispenser. During the summer season there is the option to go down the road to the Echo Lake campground and use the showers they have. It’s about 4-5 minutes south of the cabin. Fresh, dry tamarack is also available on site to be purchased for firewood. Please bring cash if interested in firewood. Bedding is provided but guests are required to bring their own towels. Guests are also responsible for maintaining proper sanitization levels in the hot tub during their stay. I will walk everyone thru the necessary requirements - it is very straight forward. Imagine oil field workers plopped in the boreal forest. Except this complete living unit is on a farm. Facing east, rolling fields snuggled close to boreal forest. The lake is a bird sanctuary. The area is abundant with wildlife. It is adjacent to my art studio. There is lots of space outside if friends and family want to camp, although there are no hook-ups for RVs. There will be a charge for campers, $35 per night. The Hamlet of Lac la Biche is only 30 minutes away, with all the amenities needed.

The cabin is located alongside a hayfield, flower farm and lovely boreal forrest and guests are free to explore. The views of the sky and sunset can't be beat. The cabin itself is cozy and just perfect for two people as it has all the comforts of your home. Our Cabin offers guests the chance to retreat and take it easy. It can be a perfect spot for a romantic weekend, for anyone to retreat and reconnect with nature, or even get some work done out of the house!

Guests have access to the entire Cabin amd no other residence are in sight, only a few barns and a market flower farm.

Beautifully landscaped with a new firepit area , kids playpark , basket ball net and huge grassed yard for lawn games. Catch great walleye and pike right off the dock which has a 8' x 16' platform . Natural gas bbq on the deck and propane bbq by the firepit . lot has the ability to fit 3 additional campers . Price based on occupancy . Our beautiful log cabin is located on a safe, private beach front at Long Island Lake with a large deck and lots of comfortable living space.

It's a great place to bring the family together and reconnect with your grown kids and the grandkids! Spend your afternoon playing on the beach, enjoying an evening fire or taking on the grandkids with indoor games. 10 people can comfortably sleep with lots of space for relaxing as well. We have 1200 sq. ft on the main floor + a walkout basement with another 1200 sq. ft.

A fully equipped kitchen is available to you and the cabin has all of today's modern amenities. There is also a large barbecue as well as a fire pit for your use.

We're located about an hour and a half north of Edmonton - a half hour from Westlock. The road to our property includes only 3 km of gravel road with the balance being very well maintained paved highway.

Long Island Lake is a popular water sport lake with a public boat launch just across the lake for those who would like to bring a boat. The lake is also great for swimming and fishing.

Our minimum rental period is 14 days as we do live full time at the property and preparing it for rental is quite a process!
