The balcony had beautiful comfy couch and 2 single chairs, coffee table and umbrella - best equipped balcony we've ever had. The unit had a washing machine, dryer and drying rack, with powder supplied. Plenty of towels for the swimming pool. Shower pressure was good enough. Bathroom a good size. Nice to have a couch that was not leather/PKU (always cold and slippery), with ample cushions for comfort. Bed had ample covers to keep warm with 2 well lit lamps on both sides for easy reading. Liked the black out curtains and nets for when you just wanted to privacy. Unexpected, but very welcome, was the secure car park inside the building. Good recycling and rubbish collection. Lovely owner/manager who was very welcoming and informative. NEGATIVE : Bed was very hard, heated pool was not heated so a bit of a shock to the system when climbed in (just off cold at best)."

This apartment is designed for comfort with two super king super comfortable beds, a lounge room with spectacular sea views, Smart TV connected to Sky, Free WiFi, coffee espresso machine, sundeck with a table and chairs, sun umbrella and Weber BBQ for your use. The kitchenette has a microwave, hotplate and electric fry-pan. There is no oven. On arrival you will find fresh fruit, biscuits, bottled water, and our Cavapoo 'Hugo" to welcome you to our picturesque slice of heaven.
All linen is supplied, and we provide beach towels for your beach swim. We have body boards for you to use at your leisure.
Ohope Heights is located up high amongst the Pohutukawa forest over-looking Ohope Beach, and the Central Ohope shops. It is a two minute walk to Cadera, a Mexican restaurant or to The Quay, a beachside cafe. Our favourite restaurant in Ohope is Fishermans Wharf Cafe, a 6.6 km drive and overlooking the Ohiwa Harbour. An amazing experience is a visit to White Island, we are only 5.7 km to Peejays, White island Tours. We are happy to book this for you. If you are into golf then the Ohope International Golf Course is a must. Walking Tracks such as Nga Tapuwae o Toi walkway is at our doorstep. These spectacular bush walkways are not to be missed. Also for the cyclist we have great cycle rides close by.
Tony is the current Mayor of the District so he can help you with information on anything you may want to know, and Linda is a Head of Department at Whakatane High School. They both love meeting people, and sharing a little of their paradise.
Ohope Heights is up one of the steepest driveways in Ohope. It is fine to drive up. Our advice is to select low gear and just simply drive up and park outside the garage of the middle light brown house at the top. You will see our sign Ohope Heights at the top as you approach Ohope Heights.

Modern 2 storey holiday home right on Ocean Road. Beach access to the safe, fabulous and famous Ohope Beach is just 50 metres down the driveway and the house is situated at the eastern end of Ocean Road.

Open plan kitchen/dining/lounge with lots of glass to maximise the light and the views. Gas hobs and gas hot water so no-one misses out on showers and there is also an outside hot shower as well. Great sea views from the large upstairs child friendly deck and the kitchen has fabulous views too. All upstairs bedrooms have sea views and you can step out on to the deck from the master bedroom. Master bedroom has it's own toilet and vanity unit ensuite. Separate shower and toilet downstairs. Double glazing keeps the house warm even if it's a bit cooler outside.
