We think Waihi Beach is one of New Zealand’s top holiday destinations. As it is one of the safest swimming beaches around, it is a very popular destination for families.
All you need to do is walk 70m to the closest beach access and you will find your own spot on the widest part of Waihi Beach, where 2 Mile Creek joins the sea. No need to worry about scrambling down the rock wall or having limited sand at high tide. The creek is certainly another fun place for the kids to play.

It is about 45 mins walk (mid to steep in parts) one way.

Tui's Retreat easily accommodates 2 families if the kids are happy to all sleep in the bunk room. With 3 spacious bedrooms, two of which are double bedrooms with Queen Beds, plus one extra large bedroom with 2 sets of King Single bunks (sleeping 4 in that room), there is plenty of room. A seperate toilet makes life a bit easier, and the bathroom has a shower over bath.

Kitchen is equiped with microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher and gas-top electric oven with range hood. Fully air-conditioned and heated for comfort in both summer and winter.
