Welcome to Boathouse No 3. The Boathouses were completed in 2019 and are in a fantastic location- the beach is across the road and 50m down Edinburgh Street and the Village is 30m up Dillon Street. Cafes, bakery, Four Square, pharmacy and shops are so close for you to enjoy. The Boathouses are a group of 6 stand-alone 3 level apartments. Bruce and I live permanently above the guest studio. We have a small, friendly dog called Pepe.
Entry is through your own private lockable gate and a lockbox is available for easy independent access to the unit.
The deck provides additional living space with seating, table and chairs and an outdoor shower.
Bikes, surfboards or kayaks can be stored in the adjacent alleyway which can be locked. A clothesline is also available to you.
Your studio room is compact, well appointed, new and stylish
Your kitchenette is set up with the basics- crockery, fridge, microwave, a selection of teas, Nespresso machine and plunger coffee available. Standard milk is supplied unless otherwise requested.
The Queen sized bed is comfortable with a variety of pillows provided. An electric blanket is available for the winter months. A ceiling fan provides relief in the summer months.
Bathroom is supplied with hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap and hand wash. Linen, bath towels and beach towels are provided.

Jellytips and Jandals is located at the northern end of Waihi Beach. It is nestled behind the Waihi Beach Surf Club on the edge of a beautiful Pohutakawa lined reserve.

The Dairy is just on the other side of the reserve for easy Fish and Chips and ice creams. The Waihi Beach Surf Club has a cafe and bar and it takes 30 secs to walk there!' The top level will not be occupied during your stay, you will be the only relaxers onsite so feel free to enjoy your sundowner drinks on the top deck. The sunset glow off Mayor Island is beautiful

Visit Athenree, just 10 minutes away to bathe in natural hot pools or visit the beautiful Shelly Bay in Bowentown

Don't forget Karangahake Gorge (one of the most visited places in NZ over the Christmas period). Ride a train, enjoy the Rail Trail on your bike, swim in the crisp clear river and water falls. Visit the Victoria Battery and learn about the gold discovery in 1878, which led to the huge open pit mine of Martha.

Flat White is a superb restaurant and can be accessed via a beautiful walk along the beach. Wilson road shops has many more cafes and specialty shops and a small supermarket. The Waihi Beach Pub has live music and the RSA even runs a free shuttle bus.

The walks are beautiful with a short walk to Orakawa Bay a must when the Pohutakawas are in full bloom or to watch the keenest of surfers riding the waves. Walk a little further to Homunga Bay and for the keener walkers, check out the Trig track for the best views in the area.

Gypsy Fairs, markets, talent competitions, antique markets and the list goes on so stop in at the visitor center on Wilson Road for all the events happening for the month.

Fish off the rocks or straight off the beach and you can safely launch your boat 200m away from the bach.

The space consists of a comfortable lounge area, and a Queen bed in one room and 2 x King single beds in the second room. The bathroom is lovely and toasty with underfloor heating; and you can enjoy an hour use (daily) of our family hot tub.
