This is a private lease not managed by resort management in any way, we greet all guests on arrival to check you in and hand over keys. The front desk is not available

The space
Our apartment is spacious and located on the beachfront.

The floorpan is ideal for couples or families. The two twin bed bedrooms & family bathroom with a separate toilet are to the left when you enter the apartment. A door to this area can be closed to create both privacy and a quieter space.

The Master Bedroom with stunning ocean views has a Super King bed and ensuite bathroom.

The kitchen is modern, fully equipped with a large fridge/freezer (with ice dispenser), an under bench fridge for drinks, microwave, dishwasher, double oven, a nutri bullet, Nepresso machine and an abundance of crockery, cutlery & glassware. On the deck is a Weber BBQ and outdoor table with seating for 8.

The Living room has a Smart TV with Netflix, Goggle Play, YouTube, etc but only Freeview television. There is NO SKY TV provided.

WIFI and Fibre Broadband are free.

There is a ducted heating/cooling system in the living/kitchen/dining area. Bedrooms have free standing fans for the warmer months and, if required, heaters in the cupboard for the cooler periods.

PLEASE NOTE: Duvets + covers & pillows are provided but linen and towels are NOT.

If you do not wish to bring your own bedding and towels they can be provided at an additional cost of NZ$25/bed which includes linen, towels, bath mats, hand towels and tea towels.

The onsite swimming pool is heated from October (Labour weekend) until the end of April but can be used all year round. The four person spa is heated and available all year round.

Pauanui Recreation Club have two dedicated Telsa charging stations.

Pauanui is a purpose built holiday town, a perfect place to relax and unwind with sandy beaches, great for swimming, walking, cycling, golfing, surfing, paddle boarding and fishing to name a few activities.

Located on the North Island it is a 2hr drive from Auckland on the east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula one of New Zealand's most popular holiday destinations, with pristine beaches, forests and spectacular scenery.

The local Pauanui population is approx 1000 but this number can grow to nearer 15,000 over the Christmas/New Year period.

Pauanui is ideally located for doing day trips to the various tourist destinations around the Peninsula. Our excellent Information Centre can provide maps and advice if required.

Larger towns, Thames, Whangamata and Whitianga are all within a 1 hour drive.

Pauanui is a safe environment for children and has many facilities for both adults and children.

The Surf club is next door to the apartment and has a surf patrol which monitors the beach in the summer time. The estuary is also a great swimming place for children and adults alike if you prefer calmer waters.

There is an abundance of safe walking/cycle paths meandering through the houses.

The Tairua River Trail (approx 12kms return) is a grade 2 cycle trail or you can walk it and it starts from either the end of Waterways Parade across the boardwalk to Duck Creek and beyond or if you prefer a shorter option then this starts at the end of Tangiteroria Lane.

The beach is approx 1.8kms, and both the beach and estuary grass reserves are very good walks in either direction.

Mt Pauanui at the southern end of beach has a great track up to the summit, it is not for the fainted hearted but very worthwhile as the views are spectacular when you do reach the top!

Pauanui Club has many organised events for children during the holiday periods, a restaurant in the evenings and a Cafe in the daytime.

There are two nine hole golf courses in Pauanui and an 18 hole International Golf Course approx 5 kms on the way out of town. Golf clubs and carts are available for hire at the courses.

The township which is approx 3kms by car from the apartment or is an easy cycle/walk and has the following amenities/retail shops;

During the summer months there is a ferry between Tairua and Pauanui which leaves on the hour from Tairua and 10 mins past from Pauanui.

A vegetable truck also visits Pauanui weekly on a Sunday and is located at the gas station on Vista Paku and on the 2nd Sunday of each month at the local market day held in the Pauanui Club recreation hall in the Club car park located in Shepherd Ave. The market has a selection of stalls, vegetable produce, bread & pastries, jewellery, artwork, homemade jams chutneys etc.
