Estuary Edge is a studio apartment overlooking the Plummer's Point estuary.

The studio is located on a sunny orchard property, surrounded by bush and fruit trees.

There are many awesome places to explore in the area - Plummer's Point peninsular and wharf, the fountain gardens, horse treks, and various fishing spots are all close by.

There is access to the estuary directly from the front of the studio. Enjoy a morning dip or wander.

- "This property boasts beautiful vistas over the estuary, as the name implies, and situated within a well established citrus and avocado orchard. Everything was clean, tidy and comfortable. The small TV is only of concern if that's one of the things you want to use while there (we did have to nick off to Te Puna Sports Bar to watch the All Black vs Australia Bledisloe rugby match). Clear starry night and soft lawn to gaze from, along with a fire pit if you want to use it, were bonus additions to our stay. Our hosts were prompt, honest and kind in all pre-stay correspondence, then when meeting them, and also with post-stay correspondence. Definitely worth staying and enjoying if this is your trip of stay."

In the bathroom are extra large spa sized bath towels, soaps & toiletries plus soft bathrobes to enjoy after a shower. The studio has air conditioning which will keep an ambient temperature regardless of summer or winter conditions.

At the rear of the studio you can enjoy your very own private, sunny tropical garden & courtyard area with a small outdoor fire and seating for 2. Our guests are welcome to use the saltwater pool available during summer months (shared with your hosts but all privacy given). We have a picturesque sunset deck with comfortable chairs overlooking rural valley views and stunning sunsets. The apartment offers comfortable living on 80 sqm for families of up to five people on the ground floor of our three storey house. As we have considered all our guests' requirements, we can not offer a full oven due to legal limitations. But besides this, we have free wifi and Netflix television, a piano if you can play, and lots of board games if you are not the tele type. If baking or roasting is a must, well, the hosts live on the property and might be willing to help.

A favourite amongst travellers young and old……..a brilliant base for everyone with so much to do and so much to explore….. you’ll be left with wanting more.

Located in the fabulous Bay of Plenty, Mount Maunganui is famous for its endless white sand beach, year-round surf, Pilot Bay Harbour and beautiful Mauao.

At the end of the peninsula the iconic Mauao stands elegantly at 230 meters tall. Everyone has the option of taking a leisurely stroll around the flat base. The more adventurous will have fun reaching the top and be rewarded with the spectacular 360-degree views.

Downtown Mount you’ll find a laid-back strip of shops, bars & restaurants that offer all day dining most with alfresco tables…….Pick up a treat or souvenir from one of the locally owned boutiques, enjoy an ice cream or coffee, browse one of the weekly markets or soak yourself in one of the salt water hot pools or treat yourself to a papering session at one of the spas.

Pilot Bay offers sheltered year-round swimming and kayaking. Picnic on the grassy shore & watch the fishermen launch their boats and cargo ships come and go.

In addition, there is a safe and secure lockable garage with a spare fridge for your mid-size car or personal belongings to be stored overnight or during the day when you're out and about.

Our apartment is fully managed which means all linen is commercially laundered & ironed, the apartment is professionally cleaned to hotel-standard before and after your stay and we have a dedicated local Property Manager who is available to help in any way, be it local knowledge of must-see & dos, recommendations of cafes and restaurants to just sorting out those occasional enquires or issues you may have.

NEGATIVES : the sheets on the double beds could have been better sizing - they didn't tuck in well; the drier didn't work very well - after an hour it was as wet as when it went in (small load); pillows need replacing; some of the sharp knives need replacing - rusty; need oven instruction manual - took absolute ages for it to cook something very simple. Having to do the dishes before we leave - I find this an odd request - having been a motel cleaner in the past, it is better practice to rely on the efficiency of the cleaner to do the best job for the next guests rather than rely on the previous guests to do a good job of cleaning for the next guests. Same with the recycling request - I have no problem separating the recycling (that was very easy with the containers given) but.... to get the guests to put the bins outside the night before or early in the morning of pickup is a bit like the dishes - not our job. We are guests who pay a lot of money to stay here - we should not have to be relied on to clean dishes and do rubbish duties. We are on holiday from this - if we wanted to continue with these kind of chores we would have chosen a camping site. I have not deducted any stars for this - just informing upcoming guests and hopefully the owners read this also."

Parking available at the dead end on an open section(about 20m from our house). Very secure as we are on a small lane with only 5 houses. Also can park along the retaining wall in the evening in front of our house.

Our apartment is next to the beach, the Mountain, the Hot Pools and Bus Stop. We are near restaurants, cafes, nightlife, and great views. We are a young at heart couple. Our place is perfect for couples.

The space
Our place is unique in that the location is incredibly central to all that the Bay offers, yet it is in one of the quieter suburbs of the city. It also has views to die for, breathtaking beauty over the Estuary!

This Booking gives access to the main living areas down stairs, and also the two upstairs bedrooms and mezzanine lounge.

The back apartment is rented separately from the front of the house. The current tennants are courteous, quiet and super polite. NO drama's there.
