Located in the hub of Matakana just a 3 minute walk to the village with parking available. Located behind the main house the cottage is quaint and cosy and suitable for 2 people only (king bed or 2 singles) Fully self contained with tea/coffee/toaster/fridge . There is plenty of outdoor space with a wrap around deck and small BBQ for your use . Beaches, golf course, vineyards nearby as well as restaurants , coffee bars all just minutes away.

- "Great little modern and cosy unit. Super clean and tidy. And really nice local toiletries to use. Tiny but perfect size for 2. Only mins from eating establishments, all within easy walking distance of the wee town centre. The outdoor area with the outdoor bath is an added bonus but we didnt use it as its still pretty cold, but I imagine the hot evenings it will be fab. Nice little touches with bubble bath and candles, bathrobes, and outdoor towels. Inside heating is electric - heats the unit nicely. There is no oven, but is a stovetop and microwave oven but you wont need it as the eating places on offer are pretty good. Laurence and Cassie really quick with responding to any questions too. Great little place!"

It’s also within a very short driving distance of the glorious Pakiri and Omaha Beaches, Sandspit and Kawau, the Goat Island Marine Reserve and Discovery Centre, Puhoi with its interesting old pub and Bohemian Museum, Sheep World, Parry Kauri Park and Warkworth Museum, and a plethora of vineyards, although most are only open Thursday-Sunday or Monday. If I were to return to this part of the world, I would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it. Thank you, Lynette for going above and beyond."

This apartment has its own sunny deck, and staircase entrance. It is located above our home, but it is a completely seperate (and fully private) upstairs space. The driveway is shared.

Matakana is known for its wineries and Saturday Farmers Market with great local food, produce and live music by the river. The area is full of lush green countryside, fruit orchards as well as white sandy beaches, and a spectacular coastline to explore. You can spend your day strawberry picking, swimming at the beach, exploring the sculpture trails, or just relaxing at a local winery. There is so much on offer for a weekend away here!

The space
Our villa offers a stylish and new space spread over two levels. On entry you walk into an open plan lounge, dining and kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with top-of-the-line appliances providing you with everything you need to whip up a delicious meal.

On the entry level is also a separate toilet and combined condenser washing machine and dryer. The bi folding doors open up to a small deck area where the two comfortable chairs can be positioned to make the most the outdoors to relax and unwind after an enjoyable day exploring Matakana and local sites.

The bedroom is on the second level which features a beautiful king size bed with quality linen, ensuring a restful night's sleep. There is a separate bathroom with a large walk in shower, underfloor heating and stocked with bathroom amenities.

For the warmer summer nights there is a air conditioning unit downstairs for cooling and also a tower fan in the bedroom. We have had a blind installed behind the bedroom shutters for a darker room at night.

There is a private off street carpark, ensuring you always have a space no matter how lively the village gets.

The lounge shutters are on a rail and when opening please move one shutter at a time slowly to the end before folding. If they fall off the bottom rail they can be lifted back on by popping the bottom pin back in line.

With stunning views, our Baches are the perfect place to relax with family or friends. Each Bach has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a sleep out with 2 single beds, a kitchenette and a Weber Family Q BBQ. There is a heated pool (CLOSED Monday of Queens Birthday Weekend to 30SEP), and tennis court for our guests to enjoy. Wi-Fi is provided free of charge.

No children under the age of 4yrs because of the steep staircase, and it is located on an open/ unfenced rural property. There is no enclosed area for children to play.
