The Loft is a charming studio apartment with a variety of views: olive groves, rolling hillside, the dappled Oruaiti River, majestic trees, Mangonui Harbour and the distant hills of the Karikari Peninsula. A heady mix which create an ideal place in which to unwind.

The studio has a kitchenette with a microwave, two ring hotplate and fridge. There is a comfy Queen size bed, dining table and seating area, plus a small table and chairs outside on the verandah.

The television has freeview channels and there is a DVD player, plus a small selection of DVDs and books.

You're welcome to use our wi-fi. Due to being rural the strength of signal can waver and atmospheric conditions will affect it. There is a Chromecast for the TV. Bear in mind that the speed and connection may not be what you're used to.

The Loft is upstairs, and its shower room, toilet and laundry are on the ground floor.

There are tea/coffee making facilities. Bed linen and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels.

Enjoy the peace of 7 acres in a quiet location, with lots of birdlife including quail, morepork, tuis, and fantails roaming the land.

You are welcome to wander through our 700 tree olive grove and small area of bush with native trees and plants.

Mangonui is a great location for your holiday, and gives easy access to the delights of Doubtless Bay. Cape Reinga to the north offers the dunes and epic seascapes. Kerikeri and the gorgeous Bay of Islands, with Russell, Opua and the Waitangi Treaty Grounds lie to the south. The fantastic views across Matauri Bay to the Cavalli Islands are off SH10 between Mangonui and Kerikeri, and are featured in Lonely Planet’s top 50 scenic drives of the world.

Marvellous beaches are waiting to be explored all along this coast or find a little cafe to soak up the atmosphere and relax. Mangonui’s cafes, heritage trail and bustling waterfront are nearby.

This large three bedroom getaway has main bedroom & ensuite on the top floor and lower level having a large open plan living area, two bedroom's and those views out across the Harbour to Hihi. Leave the car behind, you won't need it whilst you have cafes, shops, Mangonui Hotel, local arts and crafts, 4 square and the stunning new boardwalk to take a stroll or have a punt at fishing. If you do want to take a dip, then it's just a two minute drive or 10 minute walk to Coopers Beach. This modern internal minimalist apartment is in the hub of Mangonui where all the hustle and bustle of the summer can be enjoyed from your doorstep. Not to say it would be a great place for a winter break enjoying the sites cozied up in the apartment. Once wont be enough! This will be a holiday location you will want to return to again and again.

There is no cooking facilities (tea & coffee facilities - milk provided) the kitchenette is equipped with basic plates, bowls, cups & cutlery etc
Please use this as a chance to try out our fabulous local restaurants - otherwise you’re more than welcome to bring a portable BBQ or something similar for your stay.

TV is a smart TV where you can access your own apps via our wifi - no freeview or sky.

Our apartment is located next to a boutique skin studio (Tuesday Skin) we offer all our guests a 15% discount on skin treatments - skin needling & bespoke facials during your stay and our open hours.

We also have a massage therapist offering massages to guests Friday- Sunday bookings essential & subject to availability.

We like to think that our guests will respect our place by leaving it as they found it.

The space
It is a quiet spot right on the water and yet close to facilities and restaurants. An easy stroll to the shops and restaurants yet set aside enough to be as quiet as you like.
It is in an historic village that has been described as the closest thing to an English fishing village in New Zealand. It suits those looking for a quiet getaway AND the more active pleasure seekers. Fishing, swimming, surfing, diving, walking, hiking. The harbour is perfect for kayaks, paddle boards, and sailing dinghies

The apartment is self contained two bedroom unit with views over the boat harbour and out to sea. There is dining and lounge space with sliding glass doors opening onto the large deck with a gazebo. It has a separate laundry and the usual bathroom facilities.

Other things to note
Tour buses to the Cape pick up in front. It is a half hour drive to the magnificent Puketi Kauri forest. It is in the heart of Beach Paradise Doubtless Bay with is multiple white sandy beaches.
