- "Loved my stay here. Everything was beautiful and clean. I'd definitely book again." - "We were lucky Emily had a few days available when we had to adjust our travel plans last minute following Hurricane Gabrielle. This is a nicely decorated and comfortable getaway. It's quite spacious compared to most tiny homes, with no ladders to climb. The bed is comfortable, the shower flow is great and we appreciated the kitchenette and the storage space. The neighbourhood is quiet and full of well-cared-for homes. Emily has even designated a convenient parking spot for visitors. There are no transit busses onto Herald Island, but we found we could take a short Uber ride to a cheap public transit ferry at Hobsonville Point, that takes you right to downtown Auckland. This is a quick and pleasant way to get to the city. If you are arriving at night, as we were, it's hard to see this dark building. It's to the right of the main house, on the road. Once you find the driveway with the street address on the fence, walk about 100 feet to your right along the road and you'll see the tiny home. The home can be warm in hot weather. Emily dropped off a fan when we mentioned it and we were able to keep the place comfortably cool by leaving the blinds down and the back windows open a crack during the daytime. This is a cute place at a great price in what can be an expensive city."

We are Semi rural set on 8 acres, Totara Cottage was built in the 70s as a workers cottage for the then Totara Vineyard.
A self contained, stand alone one bedroom cottage, which has been recently renovated, retaining its charm in the process. The original 2 bay milking shed on the property dates back to 1945.

There is currently no door that separates the downstairs and upstairs floors however you will have exclusive use of the downstairs with private access from outside during your stay.

The house is perfectly safe however there is a strap around the septic tank as a safety measure which crosses the path leading to the entry. - "We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. The space was exactly as described, very spacious and cozy. The owners were kind and helpful, the TV was playing up and wouldn’t connect to the internet and they tried their best to get it working. The only things that need to be noted are that because the property has a septic tank the toilet struggles to flush properly and fills up really high with water before it goes back down and need a double flush, and when we first walked into the bathroom there was a very strong smell from the septic tank that came through the shower drain but went away after using the shower. Also the entrance to the bedroom (where you access the flat) and door handle had a lot of spiders and cobwebs which gave me the heebie jeebies haha but that’s not too bad just needs a wee clean up. Apart from that it was amazing, we had everything we needed and were so comfortable! Their doggie even came down to say hello and we got some good cuddles in which a bonus! Thank you so much!"

Located in quiet and serene Kumeu, in a secure gated residence community, this luxurious villa is the perfect place for a family vacation, for up to 11 persons. With 4-5 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with high-end appliances, a home theatre, a large lawn, a massive private pool and a fantastic hot spring spa/jacuzzi, plenty of activities, full set of outdoor chairs and furniture and everything you need or want for a pleasant stay among family and friends.

It is a great location, close to the centre of Kumeu, 15 minutes away from Muriwai Bay, and 35 minutes from Auckland Airport.

Our property is stunning and incredibly spacious. The ballroom easily host up to 50 guests, and the outdoor lawn spans over 2,000 sqm.

We’d love to host your next event! However, if you plan to have more than eight day guests (not staying), an event charge will apply. ( $500 NZD for the first 20 guests, with an additional $25 per person thereafter. )

We are located in North Shore, Auckland, and only 6 min-driving away from Albany shopping centre - with one of the largest Westfield shopping malls. The self-contained unit has a huge kitchen island, indoor and outdoor (a massive deck with 2 sun umbrellas) dining areas with fantastic countryside views. An air-conditioner and a fireplace mainly control the temperature of the unit. Heaters are installed in bathrooms specifically for winter. Outside of the house, you can enjoy the silence and peacefulness of nature and more importantly, our 3 Ha land is even big enough for mini hiking! Unfortunately, we do not allow any parties, but you are more than welcome to enjoy some drinks and soft music with your family and friends. Come on! Our hospitable hosts cannot wait to meet you here!

Privacy:
Technically, we are on the other side of the building, but you and we will be separated, except for the laundry. You will have privacy in bedrooms, bathrooms and living area.
