The views out on the deck are lovely with a large table and lots of seating options to entertain. The beds are comfortable and the house was nice and warm with the heatpump in lounge room.The kitchen had all the mod con's you need if not there is plenty of takeout and a few restaurants. The yard is perfect if you are travelling with your fur babies and they had a ball running around and there are plenty of tracks to take them for a scenic walk too. Whilst maintaining the integrity of a Beach House, Sea Eagle Cottage features an open plan living/dining kitchen, and an enormous, partially glassed-in deck, for protection in any weather. There are 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. The master has a king size bed, built-in robes, doors which open out onto the deck, and an en-suite. The en-suite has heated flooring and towel rail, large walk in shower, vanity, toilet and bidet. Walk down and take an amazing boat tour, which has a few different tours available, take in the whole of the famous Bay of Fires Coastline from the water, right up to the lighthouse, or visit the seals at St Helens Island. See Bay of Fires Eco Tours for more information or just sit and enjoy a close up view of the red rocks and the pelicans!

Walk around Grants Lagoon - this time look out for the birds and the wildflowers which include lots of wonderful native orchids.

Hop on one of the bikes in the carport, (don't forget the helmets) and peddle around the area.

Grab the two fishing rods and tackle we have supplied and go for a fish!

Book the local tennis court ($5) for a hit of tennis down on the waterfront, whilst the children play in the playground - have a BBQ down on the green.

Jump in the car and take a short 10 minutes drive into St Helens where I suggest you visit the galleries, the collectibles store, see the local craftsman at work at K Mueller Designs, and take a stroll down to the waterfront and grab a lobster to bring home for dinner. If you like golf there is a pleasant little golf course.

Bring your Mountain Bike and take an adventure trip along the World Class mountain bike tracks of the Blue Tiers.

A little further afield takes you to the St Columbia Falls, the Pyangana Cheese Factory, the Pub in the Paddock, the Shop in the Bush, and even the famous Blue Tiers. Or drive south along the Coast and visit Bichino, where you can see the blowhole and visit Natureworld to meet the cute Tasmanian Devils and lots more wildlife. Visit Wineglass Bay at Freycinet. Binalong Bay Cottage is ideally suited to two couples travelling together who would like their own private space, as it is split over two levels giving you privacy. All profits go to the Australian Animal Protection Society.

There are two bedrooms, (both with KING SIZE BEDS and two bathrooms, one on each level). A third living room has a fold out single bed.

The upper level is open plan, featuring a lovely kitchen, dining area and living room which opens out onto a deck via large sliding doors. Electric hot plates and a clever convection microwave, which can also airfry! You can fire up the gas Weber Q on this deck and enjoy the views. A small laundry is hidden behind sliding doors and has a modern washer, and dryer. The master bedroom is on this level, and features a king size bed, commercially-laundered linen and an en-suite bathroom with modern shower head and complimentary toiletries.

A spiral staircase takes you down to the lower level which has a second King size bedroom, opening out onto its own private patio. Adjoining is a small bathroom. There is also a beautiful newly renovated sitting room on this level, with a modern fold-out single bed which can be set up for an extra guest upon request (at an additional charge). This sitting room has its own TV. The sitting room also has sliding doors opening out onto a patio, where you can stroll along a path, down newly landscaped steps, and straight down to the beach or restaurant, only a few meters away.

Bay of Fires Eco Hut is an off-the-grid holiday experience at Binalong Bay on the Bay of Fires, Tasmania. The Eco Hut is back from the road on a few acres of bush, but just a short walk to one of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. You will feel tucked away, hidden from the world – unless you want to emerge for your morning coffee, which you can get at the Merestä Eatery just down the road - open 7 days.

The Eco Hut is deliberately simple. Power is solar, major appliances are gas and water is rain water from a tank. With a nod to the camping experience, the ‘loo with a view’ is just behind the hut and the shower is outside on the back deck. While it may be daunting at first, once you have showered under the stars with no one in sight, you may be transformed. There is no internet or Wi Fi (unless you have a mobile device linked to Telstra), no TV (bring your laptop if you need it) and, as in most of Tasmania, the only phone service provider is Telstra. The one concession is a blue tooth-enabled or plug-in portable speaker for you to link to if you just can’t live without the music!

If you haven’t been put off yet, be advised that the hut is stylish and extremely comfortable. You’ll have instant gas hot water and a modern small fridge. For cooking, there is a stovetop, a microwave (for warming food only) and a Weber Q on the deck. All kitchen items are supplied. We provide commercially laundered, top-quality linen, but only for the double bed. For the other guests, we provide mattresses, but you’ll need to bring your own sleeping bag or bedding. Soft towels and face cloths are provided for all guests. To keep you warm and cosy, there is a woodstove with split wood ready and waiting for you to light it up

The 'Tin Shed' is a modern, deluxe accommodation (think upmarket hotel room) suitable for 2 people, located on private property, away from the main house.

Binalong Bay is in the heart of the world-renowned Bay of Fires, famous for white sandy beaches, distinctive orange rocks and crystal-clear turquoise waters. The Tin Shed is well situated with both bush and beach walks within easy reach making it a perfect base for exploring the Bay of Fires.

On arrival at you can drive straight up the driveway into the undercover off-street parking that is just a couple of metres away from the entrance to the Tin Shed.
Entry to the Tin Shed is easy with no steps or stairs to worry about. Access is by key lock and details will be sent to you prior to your arrival.

On opening the front door, you will be pleasantly surprised. The room is well appointed and has a luxurious feel. Guests frequently comment on the fit out, plush carpet, floor heating and beautiful bathroom. The Queen Size bed is super comfortable, and many guests say they would love to take the bed home with them! The built-in robes with mirror glass doors give a feeling of space.

Adjacent to bedroom is a powder room that is perfect for putting your make up on, hair dryer and hair straightener provided. Adjoining the powder room is a large bathroom that boasts marble like floor to ceiling tiles, heated floor and towel rail.
There is a cosy nook to sit in and the air conditioner/heater keeps the entire area nice and warm in winter and cool in summer. The flat screen television has a built in DVD player and a selection of DVDs are provided.

Whilst there is no kitchenette the room has coffee making facilities, a bar fridge, a microwave, a kettle and a toaster. Crockery, cutlery, glass wear and BBQ tools are supplied, and you don’t even need to wash up as we do it for you.

There is an undercover barbecue and plenty of outside seating for you to use. As a treat (summer or winter) guests often enjoy sitting around the open fire pot while having a wine or toasting marshmallows (we supply the marshmallows).
Guests have access to the laundry and an iron and ironing board can be provided.

We frequently see the Sea Eagles flying overhead. You might meet Kevin Kookaburra and his mates who visit us almost daily or you may even see wallabies and rabbits happily nibbling on the front lawn.
It is only a short walk to ‘Lichen’ Binalong Bay’s popular local licensed restaurant that has amazing views of the main beach. On the way you can check out the scenic lookout where you might spot dolphins or even a whale or two if it's the right time of year.
Or you may choose to check out the lovely swimming gulches, go rock hopping and explore rock pools on the way. The playground and tennis court are in proximity.
If you prefer a bush walk, from the Tin Shed, you can walk to the southernmost point of the Bay of Fires, Skeleton Point.

Nestled in a private and protected natural wonderland with immediate access to the beach and walking tracks. The Bay of Fires area stretches north from here with luminous white sandy beaches lined with pink granite boulders and aquamarine shorelines.

Our beach house is architect designed and superbly appointed offering two queen sized bedrooms that adjoin a modern bathroom with bath and two hand basins. The expansive, light open plan living area lead onto large north facing deck and overlooks the secluded garden with ocean sounds and water glimpses. Individually styled featuring original artwork, bespoke and collectable furnishings.

Arthouse has a fabulous gourmet cooks kitchen with a great complimentary pantry of condiments that meets most people's needs.

We have an eclectic library of books, music and films to keep you happy.
We have a separate art studio space complete with art materials to play with.

Though the shack is lovely it would benefit if it had fans in bedroom as it was hot but as there were no screens the windows could not be opened. Obviously it is still a construction site as containers are part of the view."
