It was 25% chance as half will face the car park, and 25% lake views but 1st floor. The resturant was in the adjacent casino, again lake side setting and outdoors in summer. Food was good. Great location although a mile from the town. There is a purpose made cycle track right outside with a 10km flat route to the loire, and also into town. Bike hire in town was EUR 15/day for nice bikes. Ideal place for 2- 3 night stay."

Une cuisine toute équipée avec un îlot central et 5 chaises de bar donne sur un grand séjour avec une partie salon avec canapés, fauteuils et baby foot, un écran mural, puis un coin salle à manger avec une grande table. De nombreuses baies vitrées éclairent ces trois espaces permettant d’accéder aux terrasses. Celle au sud avec la piscine (4X8) chauffée ( dès mai jusqu'à fin septembre) et son salon de jardin, et la terrasse nord idéale pour déjeuner sous une voile, entre amis ou en famille, avec le barbecue et la vue sur de vastes champs et ses deux grands chênes. (Terrain de pétanque). Ces aménagements sont récents. De nouveau à l’intérieur de la maison un couloir permet l’accès aux 5 chambres, 4 avec des lits doubles, une avec trois lits de 90. Un canapé convertible pour deux personnes est dans le salon. Vous trouverez également deux salles de bain avec des douches italiennes et une avec une baignoire. Le grand terrain fermé permet aux enfants de jouer au foot ou à toute autre activité en pleine air. La piscine comporte un rideau de protection. Une salle de bain avec toilettes et lavabos est accessible par l’extérieur pour plonger de suite dans l’eau de la piscine à bonne température après s’être rincé. Une voie verte est accessible très rapidement ( 300 mètres) pour aller en balade à vélo jusqu’au centre ville. Des commerces se trouvent à proximité ( 500 mètres). The house was warm and Olivier was available to change temperatures remotely without needing to disturb us..... The kitchen is very well equipped and had we been there in the summer we would have enjoyed the pool too! The house was spotlessly clean and a pleasure to stay in albeit only 3 nights with very comfy beds. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and if you are a large group looking for a summer house to stay with all amenities then this is the house!"

The Château du Vigneau is a privately used house that we make available to guests from time to time. It is furnished accordingly.
Here all generations, a large family, a large group of friends or a working team can go on holiday or work together. And yet there is enough space to retreat and enjoy the peace and quiet of everyone else... The spacious rooms are stylish, familiar and comfortably furnished. The thick walls keep the house cool in summer and warm in winter. The house has central heating, some rooms also have a fireplace. Here you can simply relax, play golf and tennis nearby, or visit the sights of Burgundy on day trips.
The private area is huge and is suitable for relaxing or common sports and games. There is unlimited space around the house, a private forest for walks, a very large fenced pool area, close to the house, but without the noise of the house disturbing the tranquility on the terrace.

Access for guests

We only rent the house to one tenant. You can accommodate up to 22 guests in 12 bedrooms with 8 bathrooms, in 2 salons and a dining room there is space for all. When it rains: in front of the fireplace it is always beautiful... There is also a room that we use as an office, with a view over the Loire valley and a fireplace in front of the desk, in case someone has to work in between. The house is equipped with Wifi.

Interaction with guests

We will probably only get to know each other on the phone because we live in Germany when the house is rented. But in the front buildings there is a gnarled caretaker who takes care of the facilities, maintains the swimming pool and answers all questions - but only in French or Portuguese.

The neighbourhood

Although the castle stands alone and there are no neighbours to be seen in the fantastic view, the small town is only 2 km away. There you can buy everything you need. There are restaurants, a public swimming pool, tennis courts, a golf course, a cinema and a small traditional spa. The 'voie verte' a bicycle path on a former railway line is very close. Paddling on the Loire is highly recommended. Boats can be rented in the town.

It takes a car to get to us. There is a train station on 2 km, but the French timetables are thin. The airport Lyon can be reached in 2 hours, the next TGV station in 1 hour.
