- "We enjoyed a great stay at the Hotel du Commerce. It's a classic French small hotel with a modern twist. Our room was clean comfortable and beautifully furnished with a lovely colour scheme We felt the breakfast was good value " - "They put me in a room right next to where they were doing a renovation and so it was noisy with drilling and hammering from 8 am to 5 pm. could not sleep in or take a nap in the afternoon as it was noisy. they had hallway lights on a timer that lasted 5 seconds literally and so the lights were always going off when walking the hallway and since they were not automatic sensor you had to grope your way around until you found the light switch to turn it back on. Staircase was very narrow so don't come with any luggage bigger than a carry on or else you will have a problem carrying up the staircase as they had no elevator. The hotel does not have any concierge/reception so there's no one to around to ask for help if you have questions. They serve breakfast too late as I had to leave by 8 am every morning so I could not take advantage of their breakfast. "

Patio furniture provided and access to quite a large garden space with great views across the beautiful countryside. Good kitchen but lacking enough cutlery and crockery for the people it can accommodate. More cups, plates and glasses would be helpful. The large swimming pool was great, although for some reason it was closed at 6 pm, just when it was needed after a hard day in the saddle! Good large screen internet TV and excellent wifi."

- "There are 4 holiday apartments attached to the small chateau. We were in one of two that was in the converted barn. The apartment has lots of space, and is pleasantly furnished. It's a lovely setting. Quiet, surrounded by farmland and in very attractive countryside. The historic town of Cluny is down the road, with lots to offer. And there are chateaux and castles to see within an easy drive. The chateau swimming pool and area was ours to use, and it was a pleasure. There was just one thing that I'm sure should be improved for future visitors. Other visitors often stayed for a few days, but we were staying for two and a half weeks. While there was space and plumbing for a washing machine in the apartment, there was no washing machine. Nor was our apartment cleaned or sheets changed. New visitors might want to check this, as the owners are helpful. It felt like an oversight."
