- "I like Maddingley Hall. It’s a beautiful old country house now part of the University and has lovely grounds. The rooms are a bit Spartan as they are basically student bedsits but all the essentials are there, and my room was made up each day which a lot of hotels don’t do list Covid! Lovely dining room for breakfast. Dinner was bar meals - limited menu but good value and tasty, which is more than I can say for the supper I had at Bella Italian inn Cambridge which was distinctly indifferent and cost a lot more! Ok, not a luxury hotel but I don’t like paying for A lot of facilities I am not going to use. I had free parking in a safe and secure car park, free WiFi which worked well and a shower bathroom which suits me perfectly. Friendly staff, a good bar and I did not have to take out a mortgage to get a large glass of wine. The Uni run a lot of courses there as part of the continuing education offering and if I have time I would love to do a course there as the place has a nice atmosphere."
