- "First, Communication was simply amazing, from the informative phone call to the text with great local restaurants and checkin info. It made us feel so comfortable. Upon arriving at the Inn & Spa we entered to the most relaxing music and scents. The staff was super attentive and very accommodating. The room (Northwoods Suite) was better then we could have ever imagined, very well laid out and very well decorated. They even had a bottle of wine and charcuterie tray waiting for us! ❤️ The next morning we were greeted by a room service breakfast that was so very fresh and delicious. Wow. Sadly, we only spent a day and time did not allow for a couples massage, but I can promise you we will certainly return for several days and enjoy a massage in the near future. I would most certainly will recommend Beaver Creek to anyone who wants to get away and relax from the stressors of life. This place will certainly do it!"

- "We had an amazing stay in this cozy cabin. It was a perfect location to catch up with old friends from out of town. The sunset view from the top of the property is amazing! The kitchen was well furnished, and the fire pit was perfect for s’mores. Michael, the host, communicated effectively throughout the entire process. We would love to visit again in the future." - "We had such a relaxing stay at this location. One thing I would add to the listing (maybe I missed it) was how big the lot is. If you enjoy being surrounded by beautifully manicured wilderness then this is the place for you. The fire pit is perfect size. There is a wood pile to chop up some lumber for the fire (nice workout). It’s so nice to just unplug, take in a deep breath of country air and relax by a crackling fire. Also - you can’t beat the price ! All of the amenities were excellent! There was a black stone grill there to cook up your favorite mess free breakfasts with an adorable table next to it to eat. There’s also great state parks (we went to two of them). Do yourself a favor and get to this rental. You’ll be happy you did."

This custom built log house (sleeps 4-5)sits on the original spring house foundation from the early 1800's. The house is in the foot hills of the Maryland Mountains near world class golf resorts, ski resorts, shopping, antiquing, fantastic hiking, and some of the nation’s most important historic battlefields. The cabin is all wood inside and out. It has a large stone fireplace, as well as a classic wood stove which can be used for cooking and baking. Unfortunately due to a few incidents we have changed our policy to no wood-burning fires inside the cabin. We do have a fireplace insert that holds fuel cans that burn for a nice cozy atmosphere without endangering our guests or the cabin. We’ve recently installed a new heating and AC system so the cabin is warm and toasty in winter and cool in summer. The bedrooms are actually open 2 open loft areas with a catwalk connecting them to a central landing. The upstairs is open to the downstairs and leaves the cabin with a large spacious feeling. The 2 beds are built in and each loft has a small seating area and a private balcony. There is a small convertible sofa that can be extended for 1 additional sleeper. There’s a deck off the back, overlooking the main house’s back yard and the neighboring horse fields. The back deck in the mornings can’t be beat for sipping coffee and watching the horses as the dew burns off the fields.
- "The cabin was very nice" - "We had a great time! Due to unavoidable circumstances our reservation was cancelled the day we were supposed to leave. Normally that would have ruined our trip but our host Joe found us a replacement cottage a few miles away and saved the day. The cottage was perfect and had the rustic feel we were looking for. It was more expensive than the original property but Joe said not to worry about the price they would take care of it. 10/10 for the property 20/10 for our great host! Thank you for a great weekend. Highly recommended!!!"

Take a break from everyday life, and escape to this unique and quiet retreat in the Catoctin Mountains. The traditional chink log cabin is located on 25 acres of mostly wooded terrain off Highway 17 near Wolfsville, Maryland, less than an hour and a half from D.C./Baltimore. The hosts live on the property, but the cabin is situated where it feels very private. The cabin faces the woods and there is a private trail down to the creek.
The first floor of the cabin is an open floor plan with living room, dining room, fully furnished kitchen, desk and entrance to the front and back deck. The back deck has a gas grill(with utensils) and sitting area. The covered front porch is a great spot to sit and listen to the rain or watch wildlife.
The second floor has two bedrooms and full bathroom. The master is a large room with a queen poster bed, couch and closet. There is a small deck with bistro table, perfect for an evening cocktail watching the fireflies. The smaller bedroom has a full size bed. Bed linens are percale cotton and depending on the weather, topped with either a cotton quilt or linen/cotton down duvets.
The basement is the entertainment hub with a foosball table, games, puzzles and Roku TV. Sleeping accommodations for over 4 guests are available on the pull out full size couch and rollaway twin bed. The washer and dryer are located in the additional bathroom located in the basement.
Enjoy the firepit out front or walk down the hill to the creek. There is almost zero light pollution (if you turn off the exterior lights) at night so stargazing is incredible.

That startled us because we didn't see ether note until after we saw the person." - "We wanted a place that was close to our daughter and granddaughter but still felt remote. My family and I stayed for 3 days and so more friends joined on the wedding day. We all loved the place. Dawn is a great and very accommodating host. She is great overall but just to highlight a few things I would say we loved how smooth communication was and her charming personality. I’d say this is the perfect place if you want to relax or throw a small event as well. It has a lot of open spaces and a small river as well. Great experience, highly recommend ;) Thank you Dawn!!!! Please note, our home was built in the 1930's and although it has been extensively renovated, there are two original characteristics that may pose difficulty for those with mobility challenges. First, the driveway is quite steep as the house is built hillside. There is parking available at the bottom of the driveway for those who prefer not to drive up the hill. Secondly, the original stairs are fairly narrow, this includes the treads.
- "House was beautiful clean looked to be freshly remodeled. Access was easy and smooth. Highly recommend this tucked away getaway. " - "The house was great and had everything we needed! Comfortable and clean. Beautiful view from the deck and we loved the arcade games!" - "We had a lovely stay here for the weekend. Everything was clean and cozy - we especially loved the extra throw blankets for cozying up on the comfy couch! It rained our whole stay, so can’t speak to the outside other than seeing it out the window, but it looked like a lovely place to relax. Communication with the host was quick and easy. Would absolutely stay here again! "

- "Nestled in the foothills of Washington County and minutes from the Antietam Battlefield, you will not be disappointed if you choose Robin's Nest for your stay. The "nest" had every amenity and the host was fabulous! After soaking in the hot tub, take a mountain drive, hit the Yellow House for a crab cake, head to the beach at Greenbriar State Park, go to Grotto's Caverns. My granddaughter did not want to leave! We will return!" - "The property was very cute. The shower is lovely and so is the outdoor area. It didn't feel as private as I had hoped it would be, which was the only downside since it was a couple's getaway. I would stay again, but maybe not as a romantic spot; perhaps a small group instead."

Poplar Place draws its name from the poplar tree siding custom milled for the home. Situated on a scenic Civil War driving tour, the home is the result of a major renovation and addition to an 1840 farm house. The staircase is original as is the kitchen/dining area oak flooring. Six can sleep comfortable with two bedrooms (each with a queen bed) and a convertible sofa. Poplar Place has central heat and air, an all glass living room, stocked kitchen, large master bath and main level half bath.
The basement level of the home is listed separately (the Woodsy Lair), accessed separately and does not share interior common space with Poplar Place. We offer a discount for renting both spaces.
Pets under about 50 lbs are welcomed at an additional fee of $40 per pet, per stay, but must be crated when unattended. I can make exceptions to the fee structure for small dogs or multiple pets.
There is also a wonderful creek that runs through the center of the property. The large yard is fenced and shared with other guests, so please pick up after your pet.
In support of the global effort to conserve energy resources utilizing reasonable practices, we have installed Ecobee “smart” thermostats in all of our listings that the guests can also control. The thermostats are preset with a maximum heating setting of 72 degrees and a minimum cooling setting of 72 degrees.
Gorgeous historic towns are nearby, such as Boonsboro, Middletown, and Thurmont, and even downtown Frederick. Hiking trails as well as state and federal parks are everywhere. Greenbriar State Park is great for swimming in the lake and picnics with the family. Gambrill State Park, at five minutes away, can’t be beat for walking the dog with great vistas of the valley. There are at least five blazed trails of varying difficulty and length. If you like to ski, you’ll find Whitetail, Liberty, and Round Top within thirty minutes drive! For golf it will be tough to choose between Beaver Creek, Musket Ridge, or Maryland National. There are great spas in nearby Middletown or Boonsboro and you can’t beat the shopping at the Hagerstown Prime Outlets, about 15 minutes away.
This is a rural area outside Frederick between Frederick and Boonsboro. Its near wonderful hiking and state parks as well as battlefields and skiing. There's great shopping at the Hagerstown outlets and fine dining in Frederick. (Try VOLT, chef owner Bryan Voltaggio was runner up on Bravo TV's Top Chef!)
- "Overall we had a nice stay at Poplar Place. The only drawback was the amount of furniture in the living area and the comfort level which it provided. It would be nice to have a few recliners or a more comfortable sofa but overall it all worked out." - "We loved this Cabin inside and out! Has some noise during the day, trucks and cars going by close to the cabin, but we got used to it and the nights were quite and star lit!! We enjoyed the sound of the creek while sipping wine on the back deck. Nice soft warm blankets were available for curling up on the couch with hot chocolate and a movie. The creamery is a must, and breakfast at Dempsey's!!!"

Warm and charming lower level studio of an historic 1840's home. While extensively renovated, we preserved the original stone fireplace (with new electric insert) and staircase to showcase old-world craftsmanship. With a plush pillow-top full-size mattress, and comfortable sofa bed, the Den sleeps up to 4 people. The full bathroom is equipped with a tub/shower combo, and the kitchenette is stocked with utensils, a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and refrigerator.
Pets under about 50 lbs are welcomed at an additional fee of $40 per pet, per stay, but must be crated when unattended. I can make exceptions to the fee structure for small dogs or multiple pets.

- "We really enjoyed our stay in this cabin in rural Maryland. The property is tucked away in farmland surrounded by trees. The unit had everything we needed inside. The only complaint I have, which was mentioned to us beforehand, was that we could hear the the people above us walking around and talking very clearly. It didn’t really bother us much and the people staying there were generally pretty quiet. For the price, I would definitely stay here again."

Beautiful single family home with a large yard and beautiful view of the mountains. This home is located in a very desirable community that has great schools and is very safe. You will enjoy access to the whole home with off street parking.
- "It was a great experience for me and my girls" - "The house was very clean! I appreciated that there was stainless steel cookware! It was in a very quiet neighborhood which we really appreciated. It was within an hour driving distance of the places we wanted to see. We would stay again." - "We had a great weekend. The home was nice, private, neat (I would have preferred a bit more deep cleaning, only because I wiped the floor in the bathroom because I spilled a clear liquid on the floor and when I wiped it up the towel was quite dirty.). I had a problem with the lock box (totally user error….but when I messaged, I was answered right away with directions that quickly fixed my error. Lastly, the mattress was horrible. Dips in the middle and very uncomfortable. With all that being said…I would gladly stay again. The space was perfect for what I needed and I had a great weekend."

- "To call this home charming is an understatement. This 200 year old property takes you back in time, while having all the amenities of a modern home. The property is amazing and you’ll be transported to simpler times relaxing by the river and watching fireflies. We stayed for a business trip, but this home would be perfect for families or groups looking to step back in time. The home is minutes from everything, but isolated enough to make you feel like you’re on vacation. If you’re in the area, I’d absolutely recommend this home."
