I was able to bath open air while listening and viewing the forest and Sabie river from my room. The staff went above and beyond to make me comfortable. I had issues with the wifi, but the manager ensured someone was out the next day to fix it. I’m also a vegetarian and the manager created a whole menu just for me. That was very thoughtful. A few mornings I left early and the breakfast pack they give you is amazing! The treatment was also wonderful. I ended up falling asleep since the roaring river was right next to me. The rooms are cleaned and there is little to want for! I would advise that you travel in an SUV or 4x4 - it makes the 400m approach road to the property a little easier to cope with and you'll need it in the Kruger for the dirt roads anyway. Evening meal? Got to be Summerfields Kitchen (2km away). Not cheap but very well presented and tasty. Would not hesitate to visit again."

- "Kruger Park Lodge in general is a very nice property. The property is very well kept, clean and well looked after. The facilities are great with the hippo hide where you can watch hippos safely as well as an extremely nice golf course on the property with impala walking on the course. The pool area is very nice and the restaurant (G’s) is good. There is also a lapa area where they do a traditional braai (think bbq on steroids) and a river area you can walk to. All the staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. It is a spacious 6 sleeper. The unit itself is great with a few little issues such as the shower door does not close and the double bed in the main upstairs bedroom has a mattress that is not very good. Other than that it is a very nice unit. The air conditioner wasn’t working and when we called them the next day they came out and fixed it almost within the hour. The unit is cleaned every day which is very nice. The lodge is 15 minutes from Phabeni gate into the Kruger Park. Also, even though when you are in the lodge you feel like you are out of the city in the bush, it is 5 minutes away from many good shops and restaurants. "
