The space

The Cottage sleeps a maximum of five people in two bedrooms. The front bedroom has one full size bed and one single bed and the back bedroom has one full size bed. Both bedrooms share a single full bathroom. The bathroom is equipped with a single sink, toilet, shelves, mirror, and tub/shower. Cottage includes TV and DVD player. No cable is available. All rooms have central air/heat.

Guest access

The entire house is available to guests, except for the back porch utility room and barn.The majority of the house features wood floors and a fully equipped kitchen with full-size refrigerator/freezer, oven with gas cooktop, microwave, coffee pot, and dishes.The house also has both a front and back porch with furniture for enjoying the outdoors. Board games and videos are available in the living room closet.

The neighborhood

The Cottage is located next to Historic Washington State Park. The park interprets the nineteenth century history of this town that became famous for the Bowie Knife and became the Confederate Capital of Arkansas for the last two years of the Civil War. Various activities happen on a daily basis in the park and more information can be found online. Williams Tavern Restaurant is open from 11am-3pm for lunch on a daily basis for a great southern meal. From May to September on Saturday morning, enjoy visiting the Old Washington Farmers' Market across the street from Williams Tavern Restaurant and taste of the local produce.

Getting around

Everything in the town of Washington is within walking distance. The visitor center for Historic Washington State Park is only four blocks from the front door. For lunch, Williams Tavern Restaurant is only two blocks just down the street. Grace Cottage is located 8 miles from Hope and 33 miles from the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro.

At Grace Cottage, we ask our guests to respect and treat the property as if it were their own. No smoking or pets are allowed on the premises.

Check-in is anytime after 3pm on the day of arrival and check-out is no later than 11am on the day of departure.

Linens are normally not changed every day in order to conserve water and energy, but if you need fresh towels just ask.

The house is on a septic system so please be mindful of what is flushed or put down the drain.

Our historical cabin can sleep 4 comfortably. There is one queen size and one full size bed (remember folks, those big beds didn't exist back then), but ours are comfortable! The sleeping arrangement is one bed in the main area of the cabin and one bed in the loft (which is accessed by a ladder). The cabin features a full kitchen and quaint bathroom with an old claw foot tub and a period bath fixture (hand held - showers didn't exist back then). As a guest at our farm, feel free to roam around. The entire farm is yours.
You may enjoy the pool between 10 AM - 10 PM, mingle with the animals or relax on the porch of your cabin. I live on the property and am available as needed. I have spent hours by the pool with some guests and just greeted others. It is entirely up to the guest how much interaction they want. I am always available on the property.

A heavy continental breakfast (Farm fresh egg and cheese strata, a homemade pastry, farm fresh yogurt, and orange juice) is served either in your cabin, or at poolside (weather permitting) for $12 per guest. There are couches upstairs and down for additional sleeping for children. The sleeping arrangement is one king size bed in the master bedroom downstairs and three full size beds in the loft bedroom upstairs. There is also an additional bedroom upstairs with one twin size bed and one queen size bed. The cabin features a full kitchen with a dishwasher and two bathrooms downstairs. One bathroom has a walk in shower, and the other bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub with a gorgeous view of the farm. You may enjoy the pool from 10 AM - 10 PM, mingle with the animals or relax on the porch of your cabin. I am on the property pretty much all the time. Depending on the preference of our guests, I have spent the whole experience by the pool with some and have not seen others.

- "Beautiful property" - "The stay was great. Kids had a blast plenty of space to run and play!" - "This cabin was amazing! It was a unique experience for sure. You could definitely see the history in the house but it was nice to have modern amenities (AC, dishwasher and microwave, coffee maker, etc.). We were also able to use the pool and visit with some of the other travelers there as well as meet the animals that were onsite. Katie and Justice were great hosts! They managed a nice little store on the property where we purchased some delicious foods and craft sodas. And I would highly recommend the breakfast! It was delicious."

The focal point of the entire farmstead is the massive, yet elegant, three story red barn standing in the center of the farmstead. While it boasts of traditional spaces on the ground level, the novelty of the building is in what should be the hay loft. There, a rustic, yet elegant two story guest space opens with windowed walls on both the North and South sides of the structure reaching all the way to the peak of the roof. Come enjoy a glass of wine on the deck under the beautiful stars. Our historic barn can sleep 6 comfortably. There are 2 full size beds (remember folks, those big beds didn't exist back then), but ours are comfortable and a king size bed! The sleeping arrangement is one bed in the main area of the barn and one bed in each loft (which is accessed by a ladder). The barn features a full kitchen and quaint bathroom with an old cow trough tub. As a guest at our farm, feel free to roam around. The entire farm is yours.

- "Our family (ranging in age from 7-72) all loved our stay in the Bozeman Barn at Coulter Farmstead! Check-in was low stress. Katie and Justice had the barn already nice and cool when we arrived. We arrived after dark so kids found a board game and started playing after exploring the sleeping lofts. They slept so well in the barn—woke later than usual both days we stayed. My city raised kids appreciated the ability to visit with the animals and a highlight was giving calf, Sadie Mae, her bottle. The pool at the farmstead was a welcome place to refresh after our day at Crater of Diamonds. So nice to be able to stay in such a well appointed place that had everything we needed, and we could bring our dog too. Hope to come back!"
