He welcomed us with a smile and conversation about the history behind Sassafras Inn and Mena, We sat and visited for about an hour. Our suite was extremely large, (2 rooms), complete with coffee and refrigerator. He then provided us with his homemade, organic blueberry muffins that were to die for. Very cozy atmosphere and a soft bed was just the remedy for a long day in the road. Highly recommend this wonderful place. Will stay again!!"

Fully furnished with all utensils, pots, pans, small crock pot, electric knife, blender, tea kettle, toaster and coffee pot along with linens and towels. Adding that special touch, including soaps, shampoos, coffee etc. make this a true home away from home. Living room has 50" plasma TV, DVD/VHS player, and tons of movies to choose from. Relax and unwind on the extra large deck overlooking the water, or take a stroll among the many flower garden paths, or visit the fruit orchard only yards away. Wood laminate flooring runs throughout the living areas where you will find a large living room with a sleeper sofa, large TV with satellite programming, comfortable recliner, and a selection of books are available to enjoy during your stay. The separate bedroom has a king size bed. Kitchen appliances include a stove, full size refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker w/filters for the duration of your stay. Coffee not provided. Address is on garbage can holder. Turn right there. PARKING: Please park to the right in front of the door to allow room for a second car to park to your left. Cottage ‘A’ is just to your right, follow sidewalk.

KAYAKS & CREEK: There are 3 ORANGE kayaks and 1 yellow kayak, paddles, & adult life jackets available for use during your stay. The kayaks are for use ON OUR PROPERTY AND ARE NOT TO BE REMOVED FROM SITE! Guests assume all responsibility for use. All guests are required to wear life jackets while kayaking. The kayaks & life jackets are hanging from the backside of the deck. Generally, the creek flows slow enough that you can paddle upstream. After about 1/2 mile downstream there are some large rocks in the middle - this is a point where you will turn around. You cannot walk back. The creek is full of fish where the water gets deeper so feel free to bring your poles and tackle. You must have an AR fishing license.

OUR PROPERTY ACCESS: The area behind the deck to the creek is our property and extends East about 50 feet which is landmarked by a large burn pile. PLEASE DO NOT TRESPASS OFF OUR PROPERTY!

CHECK IN is 3:00 pm. CHECK OUT time is 11:00am SHARP. You will be charged 30.00 per every 15 minutes past 11:00. Our housekeepers time is very valuable! PLEASE TEXT 479-216-3308 so we may service cottage for next guests.

- "Very nice!! Quiet which is what we wanted and needed. Thank you for a beautiful few days!!" - "I met my tinder date there for our third encounter. The property is immaculately clean. It is a short side by side rod to Wolfpen gap trail head. There’s a small creek at the back of the property which is nice to go. Look at little fish in the morning and drink coffee. I would recommend this for couples. It is a cute little property. But my tinder date was a jerk."

The Farmhouse Cottage has a fire pit, a wrap around porch, fully equipped kitchen and utility room, wonderful views of the Ouachita Mountains, a queen sleeper sofa and an inflatable bed as well to add extra sleeping space. There is a world of outdoor activities nearby and in the general area - hiking, ATV riding/rentals, state parks, rivers, lakes, creeks and the list goes on and on.

This is a NO GROUCH CABIN. If you are hateful, rude or just plain mean, please rent somewhere else. We are nice people and we only want to deal with nice, fun people looking to enjoy their vacation :)

This 1 bedroom/1 bath STUDIO is equipped with all the comforts of home including a back covered patio and a SHARED16x20 deck outfitted with patio furniture and a BBQ grill. This deck includes outdoor lights and plenty of space to kick your feet up and relax at the end of a long day.

Wood laminate flooring runs throughout the living areas where you will find a large common room with a king sized bed, a sleeper sofa, large TV with satellite programming, comfortable recliner, and a selection of books are available to enjoy during your stay. Kitchen appliances include a stove, full size refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker w/filters for the duration of your stay. Coffee not provided! BRING YOUR COFFEE OF CHOICE. In the cabinets you will find dishes, flatware for 8, and cooking utensils. Iron and ironing board are also provided.

NO SMOKING OR VAPING INSIDE. Feel free to smoke outside on deck or patio. Please use ashtrays that are available. There is a fire pit by creek. Firewood can be purchased at Atwoods. Pack folding chairs and beach towels if planning on spending any time by creek.

There is a green sign with address posted on a tree just past the driveway. If you reach mail box, you just missed the driveway on the right. PARKING: Please park to the left in front of the door to allow room for a second car to park to your right.

KAYAKS & CREEK: There are 2 ORANGE kayaks and 1 yellow kayak, paddles, & adult life jackets available for use during your stay. The kayaks are for use ON OUR PROPERTY AND ARE NOT TO BE REMOVED FROM SITE! Guests assume all responsibility for use. All guests are required to wear life jackets while kayaking. The kayaks & life jackets are hanging from the backside of the deck. Generally, the creek flows slow enough that you can paddle upstream. After about 1/2 mile downstream there are some large rocks in the middle. This is a point where you will turn around or have arrangements made for pick up downstream. You cannot walk back. The creek is full of fish where the water gets deeper so feel free to bring your poles and tackle.

OUR PROPERTY ACCESS: The area behind the deck to the creek is our property and extends East about 50 feet which is landmarked by a large burn pile. PLEASE DO NOT TRESPASS OFF OUR PROPERTY!

The apartment features original architectural details including exposed brick and hardwood floors, plus all the modern amenities. You will enjoy two full baths, a fully outfitted kitchen, granite counters, washer and dryer, huge closets, complimentary wi-fi, and two flat screen televisions. The en suite bedroom features a king size bed with memory foam mattress, and a bathroom with walk in shower and large claw foot tub. There is also a daybed with trundle in its own niche at the front of the apartment, which sleeps two additional people. You will be walking distance to shopping, dining, galleries, entertainment, museums, and local parks, yet still be just minutes drive from the beautiful Ouachita National Forest, ATV trails, and lakes where you can enjoy fishing, boating, golfing, hiking, and 4-wheeling.
The loft is located directly above the Old Bank Antiques, with its own private entrance. The building is on the downtown parade route, and at different times of the year is also front and center for classic auto shows and festivals. The stairway to the apartment was built for ease in climbing, and the second story setting and large windows provide a panoramic view of the town and the Ouachita Mountains.

[Please note that he Kansas City Southern Railway has a track that runs through Mena, and the train travels through town several times per day, and sometimes also at night. Please be aware, in case you are a light sleeper and feel that this might be an issue.]

The Magnolia Suite is a secluded retreat on the second floor with a private bath, master suite with a king bed, and adjoining second bedroom with two twin beds. The master suite is furnished with a wardrobe, table and chairs, sofa, bed side tables with lamps, and a flat panel TV with streaming. An electric fireplace adds ambiance and provides for custom room temperature for added comfort. The second bedroom is furnished with 2 twin beds, desk, and lamp. An ensuite full bath completes this suite.
