There was a cop parked the whole week I stayed and the sheriffs office of the whole county is located there in poteau not too far away either so it is a cop town in general they’ll be everywhere, I felt safe the whole time I stayed and I love that you can park directly in front of your room door. Super cute retro vibes I felt like I was staying at my grandpas house. I actually checked out and came back twice because my job kept getting delayed there and I would totally come stay again if I ever come back for work! This home is just minutes from Wister Lake, Cedar Lake (great bass fishing & a local favorite for kayak fishing) and the Ouchita National Forest which has thousands of acres of public hunting & public access areas. There is room to pull your boat, atv or utility trailers with ample parking.

There is a local butcher shop within walking distance so you can get that prime cut and take back to throw on the charcoal grill or cook on the gas stove. The kitchen if fully furnished with everything you need to cook breakfast, lunch & dinner - for a small or large group of hungry guests. There is a WalMart & Harps Grocery Store within 5 miles for any last minute items you may need. We do keep basic seasonings, coffee and disposable plates, cups and utensils in stock for our guests. We can’t wait to host you!
