We were there to see the Rotary Lights in the park which was right outside of the hotel. We walked to the Freight House for a wonderful dinner and then walked around the park to enjoy the lights display. Rooms are at a premium the weekend of this track meet and the nightly cost is reflected. It is pricey, but not more so than any other comparable hotels. The cooking facilities in the each room is a bonus. I would stay here again."

- "I had the most incredible week at the Houston VRBO Loft. Since my visit was during Christmas, they decorated a gorgeous Christmas tree for my stay. They thought of all the little details, from coffee, fruit, beverages in the fridge, shampoo, decorations, board games, and music on the TV when I arrived- to ensure my stay was comfortable. The loft has beautiful wood floors, vaulted ceilings with gorgeous exposed beams, French doors to the bedrooms, granite countertops, comfy leather couches and chairs, lovely lamps and sconces lining the hallway, and a great view of the city. As a pianist, it was a dream to play the baby grand piano. It was the perfect holiday stay. This will be my go-to place to stay when I visit Houston for years to come. It is the perfect addition to the town and a remarkable transformation from a landmark old brick-building department store. A few specifics:-cleanliness: The loft was immaculately clean.-Location: It is right in the heart of Houston, within walking distance of everything.-Amenities: The bathroom had all the essentials. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, pots and pans, a Keurig, etc.-Host communication: The host was very responsive and made sure I had everything I needed.-Comfort: The beds and the space were very comfortable."

Former bar (Top of the Rock) was recently remodeled and converted into a vacation home. Open floor plan still has elements of the bar (pool table, dartboard, high top tables with bar stools) along with cozy feel of a home. Brand new kitchen, great room with 65” flatscreen TV, modern bathrooms upstairs and down. Lower level has three bedrooms which can sleep up to 8 people.

Beautiful panoramic views of the Mississippi River valley from the deck and inside the home. Since we are near the river, you will hear trains which will occasionally pass by.

Toddy's Cabin, located near the Trempealeau Lakes, is a 2 bedroom rustic cabin located between the Mississippi River and Second Lake. The Cabin, just off the main lake road, sleeps up to 5. The Cabin is walking distance away from multiple public fishing and hunting areas. Within a 1/4 mile of the Cabin you will find Lock and Dam 6, the Trempealeau Marina and boat launches to access Pools 6 and 7 of the Mississippi River. Visitors may also enjoy hiking and bird watching at Perrot State Park, the Federal Wildlife Refuge or simple kayaking the backwaters. The Great River Bike Trail is nearby as well as many other site seeing adventures. The Cabin is located a short 20 minute drive to either Winona, MN or La Crosse, WI.

There are two boat launches within minutes of this rental. We are also located along an MRT biking highway. Eagles, pelicans, swans and other river wild life are frequently seen around this location throughout various points of the year.

Situated in a driftless region,this area is home to scenic bluffs and valleys with gorgeous views from both Minnesota and Wisconsin. We are 15 min from downtown La Crosse, WI, 15 miles from New Albin, and 27 miles from Lansing, IA. The area also boasts wonderful trout streams for fly fishing enthusiasts. White tail deer and Eastern wild turkeys make their home here and offer memory making hunting and/or scouting opportunities for interested individuals.

This apartment is along Mississippi Pool 8 area. There are many local and major league (Bass Master Elite, Bass Master Open and Major League Fishing) fishing tournaments in this pool during the summer months.

This apartment was completed as a vacation rental as of March 31, 2018 and has been full with people from Florida to Rhode Island,, from Washington to London, Beijing to London and even locals, living 10 minutes away, wanting a night away from home. It is a truly beautiful and peaceful rural location with quick access to a bigger city and all the options you expect to find there. You may see, and hear, barges and/or trains going up and down the river hauling their loads. (The train crossings are over a mile away, so their horns can be heard, but most guests indicate they are not too intrusive. )
