- "I had to travel from Lima to Ica, so I booked a room. The price was OK and the pictures were nice. I booked the room the same day because I travel late and was going to check in around midnight When I arrived, no such hotel existed, use the address to get there and there was a different hotel and I was knocking on the door which looked like a residence.I banged on it till someone responded they advised me that there is nobody there to call the number on the door but I did not have a phone service so I asked the cab driver to call for me because the guy inside wouldn't do it for me either. I finally somebody after calling numerous different numbers and they explain to me that they close at 10 or 11 don't remember and they have nobody working there after hours after I explained he offered to come in and check me in but I would have to wait in the neighborhood did not look too safe, is not too close to Plaza de Armas, I decided to leave and check into another hotel with a lobby and 24 hour service "

- "Due the nature of my work, I have spent half my working life in hotels 40 + yrs to be exact. As a rule I don’t do reviews, but when i come across one that is truly exceptional then I will. This hotel is not the Hilton or the Marriott it’s a 3 star. What has got is a 5 star manager (Chris) and 5 star staff. When you walk in your greeted with happy smiling receptionists who a very helpful. The bar staff are all smiling and courteous and make some excellent cocktails. The food is excellent and drinks and food in my opinion are reasonably priced. The hotel in all areas is spotlessly clean. The rooms are quite large and ther hotel has been recently refurbished. I can’t praise Chris and his team enough and he has obviously got it right. A happy work force makes for a happy place. There was some noise coming from a hostel down the road at weekend, but if that is a problem, I’m sure they if you mention it they would accommodate you on the far side of the hotel. 10 out of 10 all day long fantastic "

Great location, restaurant and friendly staff." - "This hotel near Las Dunas was priced just slightly below the Las Dunas rates on Travelocity, but is not really on par with that resort. While the grounds were very pretty and the included breakfasts very satisfying, the rooms resembled one or two star motel rooms. The triple room we reserved was a double room with an extra twin bed added so there was no room to move around. We did not find the room relaxing at all. The bathroom was basic but had little room to put things down. We had to pull a chair from the room to lay our clothes down while showering. To add insult to injury the price we committed to on the Travelocity site was almost double the price posted in the reception area for a similar room. At the time we booked, the price was reasonable because it seemed comparable to Las Dunas, but it is not and I would never pay that much for this hotel/motel again."

There was less English in restaurants, stores, etc. in Ica than other cities we had been overall though. We had laundry done there and it was done quickly and very well, good price.
