The Plaza de Armas is lively though, especially in June, so expect some noise but grandstand views of all the parades and dance events. We didn't find the noise to be to much though and in fact during our stay the french doors onto the balcony were upgraded which gave a peaceful night's sleep even at the height of the Corpus Christ week celebrations "

First floor had a kitchenette, living room w tv, dining table and 4 stools, bedroom with door that locked, and bathroom. Loft floor had 3 twin beds and a bathroom. Balcony on first floor, too. It was close to the Plaza de Armas, only a few minutes walk. Safe area. Very small sidewalks and no parking, plus steps inside, so not good for wheelchairs. But the service was excellent! The room was cleaned daily and food was replenished each evening--eggs, cheese, butter, jelly, fruit, coffee, tea, yogurt, and fresh bread (delicious!). The kitchen had an electric kettle for tea and instant coffee (provided). Bottled water was brought to us when requested (very affordable at 2 soles/bottle). Pretty gardens on site. Reception arranged taxis for us to and from the airport and train station as needed at no extra cost (in fact, they negotiated a better price than we could). The neighborhood was quiet and easy to sleep in. We had hot water when we showered, so that was good. CON: one negative was that the bathrooms were a little smelly if we didn't open the bathroom windows, so definitely leave them open as much as possible. But with the windows open/the door closed, it was fine. My kids loved this hotel! We would definitely recommend it."

The check-in only took about 5 minutes. A few minutes after we arrived at our room, Coca leaf tea was delivered to us by the staff. The room was very clean with soft sheets and two pillows. (Note: Every room in the hotel has a private bathroom). The private bathroom had a shower with hot running water. Two bath towels were also supplied along with 2 small soaps. The TV was small but had ample show selection and even several channels in English. The hotel is about a 5 minute walking distance to the main town square where there are lots of restaurants, bars, and tourist areas one may want to visit, The hotel also offers tour options to nearby ruins and Machu Picchu at the front desk. Within minutes I had two tours lined up for the next several days. Prices vary and it depends on the amount of time one has in Cusco. The hotel also serves breakfast from 7AM to 9 AM on the third floor with a great view of Downtown Cusco. The breakfast is totally worth it. Finally the hotel also has a laundry service that's about 5 soles per kilo, that is prompt. We used the service prior to going back to Lima. I was here at the hotel for 5 days and I can honestly say that the stay was exceptional. I would definitely recommend Hostal Tu Hogar to my friends and family as the rooms were great and the service and kindness of the owners is goes above and beyond expectation. "
