Our private 2 bedroom basement apartment of 850 sq ft, has been freshly renovated to create a stylish space and modern feel. You will have ample room to gather with family and friends to make memories you can cherish for a lifetime. In our large living room, accented by stunning art pieces, you will experience a light, airy ambience while you sink into our white leather sofas to relax with Netflix on our huge smart TV. Or curl up with a blanket while you read a good book in front of our cozy electric fireplace. In each of our tastefully decorated bedrooms, you’ll get a restful night of deep sleep on our luxurious King sized beds. We also have bedding for an additional 5th person to sleep on our sofa, and a good twin inflatable mattress for the 6th person. We have a complimentary washer, dryer, and dishwasher for your convenience with laundry soap and softener sheets.

The north side of the duplex which we call the (Bunk House) has a single bedroom with two queen size beds in it and there is also a hide a bed couch in the living room area. It can easily sleep 6 comfortably.

Adjoining duplex apartments with plenty of sleeping room. There is a two door passage between the two apartments (like in a hotel suit) and can be locked from either/both sides.

Both sides have fully equipped kitchen areas with refrigerator, stove, sink, dishes, and cooking utensils. Each has a full bathroom with sink, toilet, and shower.

The south side of the duplex which we call the (Line Shack) is a studio style apartment has a queen size bed and couch in it.

By staying in the duplex you have all of the same amenities you would have if you were staying in the main house with a great price.

Our lodging was perfect for us. This apartment was just what we needed. There was enough room for four of us, a black lab, and a standard poodle! The pond provided the girls a much needed relaxing end to a stressful morning of showing and the dogs enjoyed a swim, too. There is also a dog park about 5 minutes away where the dogs could run loose and stretch their legs. The owners were very accommodating, easy to communicate with and enjoyable to visit with. We needed a place to relax and lay our heads and this property had it all for us!"

A Santa Fe Traincar, built in 1941, recently (2020) converted into a unique, comfortable and modern guesthouse ready for you to experience! located just 5 minutes south of the quaint little town of Yoder, 10 minutes from South Hutchinson, and only 30 minutes from Wichita!
The space
This boxcar has the Original Wood lining the inside of the walls, with a loft and a bed built in one end and a bathroom in the other end. We believe this boxcar was originally built in 1941 and had been used on the ATSF Railroad.
Guest access
You will have the entire boxcar to yourself with a table and chairs in the backyard for you to enjoy as well as a privacy fence. There is also a fire-pit, a charcoal grill , tetherball, and corn hole game..feel free to sit outside and watch our Awesome Kansas Sunsets and Sunrises!! (Please bring your own fire wood and charcoal)
There is no oven available but there is a toaster oven, a hot plate and a microwave for you to use.

The boxcar is located on the edge of our farm and you will be able to see our houses from the boxcar but you have your own private yards and the boxcar is your private stay as well

Great value." - "Helpful for inexpensive lodging" - "We reserved a room with a king-size bed. The room was nice. It had a kitchen with a fridge, microwave, and stovetop. We used the microwave and the refrigerator. The bed had red and white sheets with a white comforter. It was an attention grabber. The main room had a loveseat and ottoman. It was nice. The mattress is the main complaint. It was well worn with holes (you know, when you've had your mattress way too long, it has a burrow where you sleep). It was comical trying to roll out of the hole to rearrange. There is a bit of traffic noise during the day. I didn't notice it during the night when we were trying to sleep. I had requested a floor-level room. We were on the second floor, which leads me to believe they didn't read the notes. I knew it was going to be a struggle. I've recently had some nerve damage. So, besides the pain, some of the meds I'm on cause dizziness. So it wasn't easy going up and down the stairs. But all in all, we enjoyed our time there. Again, the people are awesome!!"

We chose it for the location, as it is next to Carey Park and a quick drive or walk to downtown Hutchinson for shopping. It is a nice comfortable place to stay. The neighborhood is somewhat rundown, but it is quiet and we had no problems. We would stay here again."
