Sunrise Cottage is a 2 minute drive to Reasors, shopping and dining, yet private enough to be in a quiet neighborhood. It has ample outdoor deck seating with courtyard that is well shaded with large beautiful trees, as well as a screened in porch area complete with dining table and ceiling fan. With over 100 feet of lakefront, views from almost every room, Sunrise Cottage will give you the peace and quiet you desire or put you in the middle of all of the South Grand Lake action.
With your own private covered dock you will have access to all lake activities. The water is deep, the fishing is good and has a protected area between the dock and the shoreline to let the kids swim. While there are steps down to the dock, they are for the most part gradual and not extremely difficult to navigate.
The home itself has an open concept in the kitchen, living and dining areas so the cooks don't feel left out. A relatively large area, it is able to accommodate many people with two sofas, two club chairs and ottoman and a 55 inch smart TV .
Sunrise Cottage has 4 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms. The large master bedroom has killer views of the lake, king sized bed and it’s own private bathroom with double sink vanity and large shower. One of the bedrooms at the other end of the house boast a comfortable King size bed and the other is a Queen. These share a common bathroom that has a tub and shower combination. The 4th and smaller bedroom has a large daybed and also a full size bed. It also has it’s own private bathroom with shower.
Deck space is to your own desire. There is a screened in porch, an open deck with hot tub with seating close enough for the parents to have a view of the lake all while keeping an eye on the younger people as they are enjoying the hot tub. There is also a courtyard with table and chairs and bench seating for a large group to sit and visit. Sun or ample shade, your choice.
The dock is accessible by stairway that is not overly steep and easily navigated by anyone that is capable of navigating a flight of stairs.

Rick & Gloria spent no expense in insuring the property was very nicely appointed, decorated and supplied with everything, and more, of what we needed. The hosts were very gracoius and helpful. We had 8 adults and an infant that had a super great weekend. They even had a high chair for our grandchild! Awesome host, incredible cottage with breathtaking views. "He leads me beside still waters...", a place of recreation and restoration!

The master bedroom has it's own full bath with shower and garden tub. The 2nd bedroom sleeps 2 people and has access to the 2nd full bath that has a full laundry area with washer/dryer. There is an inflatable queen mattress for 2 more people. There is also a log bunk bed in the sun room for extra sleeping.
The kitchen has a gas cook top and oven, and is fully stocked with dishes, cookware, microwave and small appliances.

There is Wi-Fi, DVD player with a full selection of movies for your enjoyment, as well as a smart TV with free apps. You can also access your own subscription services. There's also a few board games for some good family fun!

The cabin is conveniently located about 15 miles from the Mid-America Industrial Park and Google facility, and is the perfect solution for the long term rental needs of temporary employees working on special projects. (Contact owner for prices on extended stays.)

There is an RV pad up by the cabin with gazebo for outdoor dining and relaxing, and an outdoor shower. This site only rents with the cabin for larger families that bring RVs for additional sleeping.

The RV pads at the lake have full hook-ups with septic access. These pads are exclusively reserved for friends and family of cabin guests who need expanded space, or for use by our friends and family, so you'll always have the dock area to yourself. Contact us for more info and availability.

The bathroom and outdoor shower at lake's edge is available for all cabin guests.

Outdoor fun includes swimming off the guest dock, boating, campfires in the fire pit by the gazebo and yard games like croquet and horseshoes. There is a canoe, kayak and paddle boat available for free use. A small fishing boat with trolling motor is also available for a small rental fee.

Guest access:
Cabin guests have exclusive use of gazebo and all facilities up by the cabin, the large grassy field, as well as private use of the guest dock and swimming area by the boat ramp.

Interaction with guests:
We frequently stay in our 5th wheel at lakes edge and are available if you need anything, or can be reached by cell phone. Whenever possible, we do enjoy meeting our guests when they first arrive, but allow for your privacy during your stay. We've made many new friends since we started renting the cabin in 2015!

Our 2022, 42’ fifth wheel will make everyone happy! Our place is great for a couples or friends getaway, but where we really shine is families. We raised our two daughters here, and love to see families enjoy the same things we enjoyed with our children. You'll be able to swim off the dock, or roast hot dogs or s'mores at the fire pit.

Inside is like an upscale apartment. Residential size fridge, stove, coffee maker and all needed utensils.
The master has a king bed with 8” memory foam. It even has a loft with two twin memory foam mattresses.
Both couches in the living room make out into queen beds. There are also two electric recliners in the living room.
Outside, just can’t be beat. The views are spectacular. Sunrise or Sunset, doesn’t matter. You have it all. There is a huge fire pit with all the wood that you need. You'll have a pellet grill for cooking outside and an outside, covered dining area.
You also have 440 sq ft dock with diving board and swim ladder. Enjoy the water fishing or swimming, or just sit on the dock and watch the wildlife.
We also have a private boat ramp if you want to bring a boat or jet skis, with plenty of parking for your vehicles.
There is also some inside games in case it rains and a corn hole game outside.
The entire 5th wheel and dining area are covered.

Rest, peace and quiet, swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, you can do it all here. It really is a paradise.

We live on the property, so if you don't know how to build a fire we can help you out. You can interact with us as much or as little as you choose.

- "Secluded family cabin, that had all amenities that everyone enjoyed!! Everyone didn’t want to leave and wants to come back in future!! Host was great and detailed all instructions!" - "Enjoyed the 1/2 mile rock drive through the trees getting to the cabin, saw several deer and squirrels along the way. Nice big genuine log cabin with lots of lodge decor. Good size deck for spending the afternoon and evening outside and a good sized fire pit for when it gets dark. Wish we could have burned wood in the deck fireplace but oh well. The area is very secluded, didn’t see anyone all weekend. We had perfect fall weather and spectacular views out front through the woods and out back overlooking the lake and sunset!"
