My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary with our 4 year old son. You can tell the host’s meticulously updated the interior to cater to the guests needs. A few things to note if you are comparing this cabin to the other 2 bedrooms in this resort: This is the ONLY cabin with a hot tub on the screened in porch and the only cabin that has upgraded the HVAC to mini-split systems (the others have window units that tend to be louder during summer months). We visit Table Rock Lake frequently for the last 20+ years and this has now moved to the top of the list for our favorite cabin to rent. One big reason for that is the host has upgraded the mattresses which are super comfy. Such a small detail that many other places overlook. It’s amazing how a comfortable mattress can make such a difference on how your overall vacation goes. Highly recommend to everyone and I’m already checking the calendar for when we can make a return visit. "

After getting off Missouri Highway H onto Black Oak Resort Ln, the road to Stargazer is a beautiful, scenic, and winding road. The way is completely paved, but slow down and take your time as you make your way to our scenic location.

Guests will need to climb two stories of stairs to reach the breathtaking view that leads to our front door. If your have difficulties with stairs you may want to seek out other accommodations.

Check-in is a breeze with the 4-digit code we will provide.

Guests will have access to the entire property, including the private hot tub, fire pit, game room, and laundry room.

PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE BOOKING:

■ HOT TUB - Absolutely NO GLASS or food near the hot tub. NO BUBBLES, NO SALTS OR OILS can be added to the hot tub. You must shower first and wear a swimsuit (not clothes) in the hot tub. The hot tub is professionally serviced twice a week. Just let us know if it needs to be served during your stay.

■ AGE - All guests must be 25+ with the exception of children with their parents.

■ OCCUPANCY - Maximum 5 Persons. If you bring more people than accounted for on your reservation, you will be asked to leave without a refund.

■ SECURITY CAMERA - Security cameras on the front porch are in place for your protection. You will be asked to leave the property immediately with no refund if you touch or tamper with the cameras. This is for your protection.

■ NO SMOKING - This is a NON-SMOKING/VAPING cabin.

■ UNCONTROLLABLE SITUATION - No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/other things that are beyond our control. Please purchase travel insurance for coverage if this is a concern.

■ PETS - Pets are NOT allowed. We love pets. However, some of our family members and guests are very allergic to pet dander. Please be considerate and make alternate vacation arrangements for your furry family members. Many pet-friendly cabins in the area would love to host your family.

■ CHECK-IN/OUT - Check-in at 4:00 PM. Check-out at 10:00 AM. We do not offer early check-ins or late check-outs.

■ CRITTERS - We have the cabin on a regular pest control schedule to help minimize the possibility of insects and critters. However, this is a lake area and some insects are unavoidable. You can occasionally expect to see critters (bugs, ants, spiders, bats etc.) in or around the cabin. If this is a concern for you, a place further from the water may be a better fit for you. Please help us by keeping the floors swept, sweets in the fridge, and trash cleaned up.

Gorgeous views of lake, pool and hot tub from the covered deck. Just 75 yards from the water with boat ramp access. Cozy furnishings and very clean for a comfortable stay. Amazing hiking and scenery at Dogwood Canyon. 5 mins from boat, jet ski rental and marina. 5 mins from restaurants and gas station; 10 mins from the grocery store. Unfortunately, there is no boat slip or dock to use. *Pool is seasonal (June - August).

- "My first reaction was WOW! Pictures don’t do it justice. The condo is bright and sunny, but you can close the high quality blinds and hunker down to sleep in! The other thing pictures can’t tell you is how clean it smells! Every surface, every linen, the kitchen, the bathroom- all CLEAN! Everything works, including the all important drip coffee maker :) The kitchen is well stocked and the cold bottled water was greatly appreciated! The bathroom, well stocked with plenty towels, washcloths, shampoo, conditioner and more! The bed and plentiful pillows are very comfortable. Nice to have washer/dryer right in the bathroom. The neighborhood is safe and full of southern hospitality. The seasonal pool and hot tub are incredibly well maintained. Concerts at the Black Oak Mountain Amphitheater are amazing! The venue is just a few minutes away. We rode our UTV there. There are some pretty cool UTV/Off roading parks and trails in the area. Table Rock Lake is beautiful! The sunsets are worth catching! The boat launch is a minute walk directly in front of the condo. Boat and jet ski rental are nearby. I can’t say enough good things about this condo and the level of detail and thought the owners put into ensuring their guests have everything they could need on vacation! The local welcome dog, an older yellow lab, Murphy, may visit you, He is very smart. If you don't want him around, just let him know.

THE SPACE
The Nest at Black Oak Resort is a place designed for rest, relaxation, and connection. It has been completely renovated to provide you with a comfortable, relaxing experience.

Pull up to this modern A-Frame cabin and breathe that fresh Ozark lake air. Two sets of stairs lead you to a wrap-around deck featuring outdoor dining, a brand-new private hot tub, and a patio complete with a gas grill and a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs.

When you're ready, open the front door and enter a bright, modern living room/kitchen featuring a large window and those soaring A-Frame ceilings. You will find a modern leather sofa, a mid-century modern lounge chair, and a large Smart Roku TV over a sleek fireplace. The room is complete with plenty of throw blankets to get cozy while you binge-watch your favorite shows, curl up with a good book, or simply watch the flames dance in the fireplace. The full kitchen includes granite countertops, peninsula seating for two, stainless steel appliances, and all the essentials.

Head back to the downstairs bedroom with a queen size bed and museum lighting to create an atmosphere that is warm, modern, and comfortable. The upstairs loft bedroom has an additional queen size bed and is light and airy.

If you need to mix business with vacation, we have a dedicated workspace in the loft where you can look at the expansive views, even while getting down to business.

A short walk to the bottom of the hill will lead you to Table Rock Lake. Take a walk, take a swim, and enjoy the beauty of one of the best lakes in the US!

GUEST ACCESS
All roads to The Nest are paved; however, they do weave through the Ozark Mountains, so they may be a bit windy.

Our drive consists of partial pavement and partial gravel.

Guests will have full access to the cabin, except for the storage under the house. Guests will encounter a stairway from the driveway to the wrap-around deck and the front door. The loft is accessible by a loft ladder (see pictures).

■ LAKE INFO-At the hill, there is a neighborhood boat launch with very limited parking. People often will walk or drive down to the boat launch to swim in the lake. The boat docks are private, so you do not have access to them. However, Baxter Marina is conveniently located 2 miles from The Nest, if you continue down Missouri Hwy H. Baxter Marina is a full-service marina that offers a full-service fuel dock, pontoon boat rentals, and a small store with snacks, drinks, ice, tackle, and more. There is a public boat launch at the campground adjacent to the marina run by the Missouri Department of Conservation.

■ HOT TUB - Absolutely NO GLASS or food near the hot tub. NO BUBBLES, NO SALTS, OR OILS can be added to the hot tub. You must shower first and wear a swimsuit (not clothes) in the hot tub. Our Hot tub is professionally cleaned 1-2 times per week depending on the time of year. If it needs to be serviced while you are there, just let us know.

■ AGE - All guests must be 25+ except children with their parents.

■ OCCUPANCY - Maximum Persons. If you bring more people than accounted for on your reservation, you will be asked to leave without a refund.

■ SECURITY CAMERA - There are security cameras overlooking the parking and the exterior front door. If you touch or tamper with the cameras, you will be asked to leave the property immediately. This is for your protection.

■ NO SMOKING - This is a NON-SMOKING/VAPING cabin.

■ UNCONTROLLABLE SITUATION - No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/other things that are beyond our control. Please purchase travel insurance for coverage.

■ PETS - Pets are NOT allowed. We love pets. However, some of our family members and guests are very allergic to pet dander. Please be considerate and make alternate vacation arrangements for your furry family members. Many pet-friendly cabins in the area would love to host your family.

■ CHECK-IN/OUT - Check-in at 4:00 PM. Check-out is at 10:00 AM. We do not offer early check-ins or late check-outs. We do not allow check-ins or check-outs on holidays.

■ CRITTERS - We have the cabin on a regular pest control schedule to help minimize the possibility of insects and critters. However, this is a lake area and some insects are unavoidable. You can occasionally expect to see critters (bugs, bats, ants, squirrels, frogs, etc.) in or around the cabin. If this is a concern for you, a place further from the water may be a better fit for you. Please help us by keeping the floors swept, sweets in the fridge, and trash cleaned up.

- "The house is super cute. The upstairs twin beds cute for kids little hot but we did not use. Fold out couch was comfortable. Pool is not open yet looks like need some work. Family was staying close by so did not affect our stay. Recoomend" - "We had family camping at Baxter Springs so these were the perfect location. Inside was clean & had necessary amenities, furniture appeared to be new. Outside of the site could use upkeep. 2 big issues, one was the pool was not in use, the landscaping around it was grown up & pool was green & gross. Was looking forward to using it, but that was a no go. And 2, A/C issue!! It had 2 small window units one down stairs & one up. When it’s 80+, that’s not cutting it & it was well over 100 degrees. I had to go by a box fan to help cool off & be able to sleep. Luckily my Mom who is 86 doesn’t mind it being warm, she slept in the master, it was warm in there, but even she got a little too warm. Place has great potential with a little TLC to the landscaping, pool getting open, & better A/C."
