- "This property was great. The views of the lake were enough to make us happy but this property offered so much more. It was a very spacious house and was great for our group of 12. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, two living areas, and a spacious kitchen to prepare meals in made our stay very comfortable. There was plenty of dining seating as well. There were so many amenities on site that we didn’t even have time to utilize them all. The newly installed hot tub and pickleball court were great new additions to the property as well. (FYI, bring your own paddles and balls). We only left the property to go hiking at Lake Bob Sandlin State Park and to eat dinner one night at Vaughan’s catfish on the lake… both of these are 15-20 mins from the house. The house was clean and cozy and had plenty of parking in the circle drive. I would highly reccomend a stay here. It would be even better in the summer when you can utilize the lake and the pool in warmer weather. It’s a perfect place for family gatherings, or a girls/guys trips. "

A sun room runs the length of the house in the back and looks out on the pine grove and lake beyond and serves as a third bedroom. An open family room/dining/kitchen is perfect for family gatherings. Guests are free to roam the ranch property which includes expanses of wooded acreage where wildlife and birds abound. Fishing on the lake is available on a "catch and release" basis to ensure fishing remains good for future guests. Lakes are stocked with bass, catfish and bream.

The ranch abounds with wildlife and provides a wonderful opportunity for birdwatching due to its forest and lake features. Treehouse is located in a forrested section of a 56 acre ranch. It is a cozy upstairs getaway with a queen bed, sitting area, full kitchen and bath, with a commanding view of the eight acre Lake below. Situated on the second floor of a detached carriage house garage the Treehouse offers a private deck where guests can sit and take in the spectacular views of the lake. The many windows that overlook the woodlands and lake give it that treehouse feel. The guests also have a private stone patio and grill. Accommodations at Treehouse are first class. All bedding including quilts and comforters are washed between every booking.

The lake behind Treehouse is fully stocked with Florida bass, bream, and catfish. All fishing is catch and release to ensure the fishing remains good for future guests . The dock has a small boat provided for getting out on the lake. Please note swimming is strictly prohibited.

The cabin is perfect for a two family share. It comfortably sleeps 8. Arrangements include two bedrooms downstairs (king and queen), 2 bathrooms both en-suite. The “kids” loft upstairs looks over the main living area and is furnished with two iron twin trundles. There’s beautiful lake views from all bedrooms.

There is also a laundry room equipped with a full size washer and dryer, iron and ironing board.
The back porch will quickly be your favorite place with its panoramic lake views. Enjoy your morning coffee or an evening refreshment as you take in the beautiful sunset from either a deep seating area and or the dining area. The lower deck has a six seater granite top. Additionally, there’s a charcoal Weber grill and a chimenia. We have some wood at the front of the house for your use, but can’t guarantee how much will be there.

Pinehill additionally offers a lakeside firepit with 6 Adirondack chairs for your comfort...perfect to enjoy the beautiful Bob Sandlin sunsets..and of course s'mores!!!

As you make your way to the lake the house has a boat dock, perfect for pier fishing and availability to tether your boat to the dock(you can access our private lake boat ramp at the end of the street).

If additional bedrooms are needed our neighbors 2 doors down rent out their finished loft above the garage as well. Rates and photos available upon request.

Our two-story log home boasts a vaulted ceiling with a stone fireplace and stands proudly on its authentic style stone foundation, offering stunning lake views. It features three bedrooms, two baths, and spans 1500 square feet, complemented by 1000 square feet of decks and porches, as well as a 1200 square foot boathouse. The cabin's woodsy charm is enhanced by custom stained glass, vintage artwork, and handcrafted log furniture. Sunlight streaming through the stained-glass windows adds warmth and vibrancy to our home. The dining area seamlessly connects to a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including a refrigerator, ice maker, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, and blender, with a washer and dryer in the utility room. A large breakfast counter/food prep area features a mosaic of the Texas Flag and cleverly conceals a complete entertainment center with TV, YouTube TV, Netflix, DVD, and Video Game System, along with a selection of music, movies, and games. Wi-Fi is available. Should it rain, the back porch features rocking chairs, bench swing and dining for 6, making it the ideal spot to listen to the patter of rain on the tin roof.

Each bedroom is outfitted with comfortable queen-sized beds and smart televisions. The mattresses are recent and vary from plush to hybrid and memory foam models. The downstairs master bedroom, with antique furnishings, offers a splendid lake view—the perfect scene to wake up to. The two upstairs bedrooms—one overlooking the lake and the other the treetops—are equally inviting. Our property is ideal for couples, families, or a friends' getaway, comfortably accommodating six guests (three queen beds). While we permit up to eight guests, additional fees apply, and it's worth noting that extra guests often include children who bunk down in the living room using sleeping bags and air mattresses. This lake house is located in a peaceful cove on a Lake Bob Sandlin which is a great recreational lake as well as fishing.

It's worth noting that the cell service and WIFI can be spotty in the house. Cell service depends on your provider. It tends to be much better on the dock.
We have found the limited access to be a perk of the home given that it forces everyone to unplug from the rest of the world and enjoy the time with friends and family.

Gorgeously decorated. 2 minutes from boat ramp. The entrance is steep but our suv made it just fine with no scraping. Just take it slow. We saw deer cross under the bridge and the pond has turtles galore. We had an amazing time. Will visit again. "

Here at McNutt Cabin, you will find a beautiful two story home setting on 175 ac. 5 miles southeast town. The cabin has amazing views of the sun setting on the lake every evening. You can enjoy them outside in the 2 sitting areas or from the comforts of inside at the bay of windows in the front of the house. Inside you will find a fully furnished kitchen with a 6 burner stove with a griddle, double oven, dishwasher, wine cooler. A beautiful bar that will seat 8, and a custom built dining table that seats 8. The living room is open with 2 sitting areas that is very spacious. Our bunk room is not your average bunkroom it has 6 built in queen sized bunks that are built into the wall. they also are wired with usb ports and electric plugs in ea. bunk. We have 3 other bedrooms that are huge and set up for you to relax and unwind. The bathrooms are awesome , they have custom showers and unique vanities. We also have a gameroom with a out of this world designed bar, console arcade, foosball table, and KARAOKE MACHINE!! In our utility room you will have access to a commercial ice machine and washer and dryer.

Other things to note
We are currently treating the lake for the lilies. We are hoping to have them gone by summer, sorry for any inconvenience to the fishing. If the lilies are too thick to fish, the state park is also stocked with bass and trout.

Also, they have DVD with tons of movies to watch. We certainly watched a few! There is a Queen bed downstairs, and Upstairs is a couch with pull out bed, so really there are 2 beds upstairs. There's a pond, a firepit with plenty of firewood to light up and beautiful sunsets. We would definitely go back, next time in the fall when the weather is more forgiving. :D"

- "The check in process was super easy. The cottage is very clean and looks newly built. The property manager was very accommodating and even took me on a courtesy boat ride to see the lake. The fenced yard is super convenient if you have dogs, I left ours at home with dog sitter because I wasn’t sure how secure it would be. Sunsets are absolutely beautiful with where the cottage is located. The drive in the neighborhood was bumpy because it’s a dirt road but I was told ahead of time. Highly recommend! "

- "The cottage was nice, clean and well appointed. The listing did not mention that the cottage is on a small pond and has a nice deck and fire pit which were nice surprises. If you have a low profile car do yourself a favor and park at the top of the hill before the the bridge that has to be crossed to get to the cottage. It is a very short walk and will prevent your car from bottoming out. The property manager was difficult to communicate with especially for check in instructions. I had to call VRBO to have them reach out to the property owner as check in information was not provided through the app. Owner sounded annoyed to be bothered and provided information verbally and then sent a text with the correct code to check in. The information was not provided through the VRBO app which could have led to challenges. Hopefully the owner will correct difficulties communicating through the app to make the process of booking and sharing information less stressful."

The cabin has everything... an expansive, well-appointed great hall featuring waterfront views, a full gourmet kitchen, a stunning oversized floor to ceiling gas fireplace, as well as 4 luxury bedrooms, all with private baths.

As you enter the inviting, fully furnished cabin, your eyes will be drawn towards the expansive lake views in the great hall room that boasts high vaulted ceilings with an impressive floor-to-ceiling gas fireplace. The great room features two ultra-luxe sofas and two accent chairs. The great hall has a fully equipped kitchen and dining room that accommodates seating for 14 between the dining table and island. The kitchen includes all the appliances and cookware you'll need to make your favorite meals! Featuring double ovens, a dishwasher, large refrigerator, 5 burner gas range, and an under the counter ice maker! This kitchen was designed to handle large groups of up to 14 people!

For guest convenience, just to the right of the kitchen is a large pantry and a coat closet. Just around the corner is the half bath, mud room, and laundry room, featuring a washer and dryer.

MAIN LEVEL BEDROOMS: There are 3 master suites located on the first level! Just off the great hall to the right is the first master suite, with a king-size bed, desk, a closet for storing personal items and a flat-screen Roku TV. The private attached master bathroom features double vanities/sinks, an oversized walk-in shower, and an impressive soaking tub. Across the great hall, guests will find 2 additional private master suites. Each suite is well appointed with a queen-size bed, a closet for storing personal items, and a flat-screen Roku TV. Each bed features a luxury mattress, fine pillows, and linens to ensure the utmost comfort of our guests.

SECOND FLOOR: The second floor boasts a state-of-the-art media room giving guests the ability to have full cinematic experience or for the family to enjoy modern gaming platforms. Across from the media room, guests will find the bunk room, complete with 6 twin XL-over-twin XL bunk beds. The bunk room features a Roku TV and Big Joe! This area accommodates a total of 6 guests. The bunk room has a private attached bath with double sinks and a tub-shower.

OUTDOORS: Enjoy the spectacular views while relaxing on over 1,000 sq. ft. of covered patios or down at the boathouse. The boathouse has a slip where guests can park their boat after a day of fishing, water sports, or just relaxing on the water. The patio areas offer a 50-inch Roku TV and a stone gas fireplace to cozy up around on the outdoor sofa, all while enjoying the breathtaking views. The outdoor area is well appointed with a gas grill, an outdoor picnic table, and an oversized hot tub. This area accommodates seating for 10+ plus people! Close to the shoreline you will find a firepit for s'mores with Adirondack chairs.

REMOTE WORK: “Better to be at the Lake thinking about work, than to be at Work thinking about the Lake!” Guest confidently leave the stress and high-paced work life behind knowing they have the ability to work remote. There are desks with Starlink internet access suitable for video conferencing. No need to take a call from a desk; take it from the patio, boathouse, or by the fire. Once you have completed their work, you can jump off the end of the dock for a refreshing swim!

ONSITE ACTIVITIES: Guests are welcome to take advantage of a pair of kayaks and life jackets, water toys, fishing poles, ladder golf, and corn hole boards. The kids can also feed catfish from the dock in the evenings (bread, cat fish food, dog food, etc.). As a family you can all can enjoy s'mores around the campfire and the luxury hot tub comfortably seats 7 people at once!

5 miles from Historic Pittsburg, TX where there are several great attractions and restaurants including Los Pinos Winery, Anvil Brewery, Pittsburg Hot Links, Flying Cow Burger and Wings as well as Racks, Daqz, and Axe. There is also a Brookshires for groceries if you'd prefer to cook your meals or pick up firewood. Pittsburg is a small town with a great vibe and has many activities going on throughout the year.

Pittsburg is a small town, 4500 population with many small cozy towns around to explore. Close proximity to Los Pinos Ranch Winery (3 miles) and Rowdy Creek Winery (Hwy 300 toward Longview).

In downtown Pittsburg there are lots of eating places and also Anvil Brewery (super atmosphere). Lakes close by....Lake Bob Sandlin and Lake Cypress Springs along with Lake Bob Sandlin State Park. Antique shops galore....Pittsburg, Jefferson, Gladewater.... Within a 3 minute walk there is the famous Efurd Peach shed, usually open from April through the week before Thanksgiving. Get out and walk to the peach shed and have some of their famous ice cream along with many fruits and fresh vegetables. Also, a must see is the famous "Decorate Ornate" store in Gladewater, Tx. Go meet Stephanie Chance. She has collectables from all over the world. Also in Gladewater, Texas is the famous "Jack Folyton" theater. Most weekends you will find a theater play, music, or even comedy. Look them up, Jack will make your favorite drink.
