- "Stayed for one night on a family trip with my son. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Had a quiet night sleep even though we were close to the elevator. Breakfast is pretty standard fare but was plentiful. I also liked how they have a staff member serving the eggs/bacon/toast. It helped to speed up the process and keep people moving. We also took advantage of the pool and my son and I both liked how the air was nice and warm in the pool area and the water temperature wasn't too cold either. He stayed in longer than usual at other pools because he didn't get cold as quickly. The price point was a little higher than I would have hoped for this type of hotel at $193+ taxes for the night, but there isn't much else in the area. It was still worth it based on the experience. Overall a nice one night stay. "

- "Lovely and quaint cabin. Perfectly located in a very peaceful and quiet street, steps to the park and lake.The cabin itself was quite small but perfectly fine for a lakeside getaway. BBQ on the back deck saved cooking inside ( although stove, toaster, coffee pot, microwave were available... along with pots/pans and dishes). Lovely firepit with Muskoka chairs surrounding and bonus firewood supplied. A couple of comfy swing seats around the property to relax on. Property owner was very pleasant and helpful. It's not "fancy" ... but a lovely place for a very reasonable price."

The issues we had were: -The well water smelled quite bad - we have stayed elsewhere with well water and are aware that it often has a bit of an earthy smell. We have NEVER run into this problem, the stench of sulphur was so intense and got worse with time so that by the 3rd day it was difficult to even do dishes without feeling nauseous. We definitely weren't able to shower. -The "pull out couch" was actually a folding cot that was quite small -We did not find out that the cottage we had rented had been switched until we called to find out where to park when we arrived. It was not a major issue as the cottages are basically identical. -We were not greeted by anyone in person and did not interact with anyone in person at any time. The property manager was available by text message on the second day and tried to be helpful. -The designated swimming area was available to us but it was made clear (kindly and politely) by residents on the street that a play raft/mat that took up half of the swimmable area was not to be used by our children. This is understandable as they've invested $$ in it, and had past issues with renters but was still disappointing. -When I reached out to the owner saying that we had left early, she offered a one night credit for future rentals. When I explained about the very truly smelly (sulphur) water, she did not respond to messages. Again, it wasn't horrible and if the well were taken care of (which I assume it will be) it would have been a lot more enjoyable. I would not rent here again though."

It is not a single level property.Entrance is at the back of the house not front.I have to cancel bec I have 2 seniors w/ me who have a mobility issues. We have to take stairs to get to studio/dinning & kitchenette. More stairs to get to room & washroom. Stairs have no railing. Porch, entrance, & sink not clean. Fire pit has plants growing on it. They just mowed the yard in the morning so it's hard to walk around with the cut grass. No fireplace as mentioned on the app. No oven, just a portable induction cooktop."

The Deer Run Golf Course is a ravine backing is located in the Little Britain area near Kawartha Lakes. It has a restaurant, a golf course operating in summer full time, a river stream at the back and Lake Scugog which is 10 mins away from the property. The house is equipped with full time self catering Kitchen. Three bedrooms on main floor with one complete washroom and a powder room. The basement got one queen bed in with an option for extra mattress for kids. There is a bathroom with shower, toilet and wash basin. The outside patio has a BBQ machine, Hot Tub and Sauna Pod.

- "Large home in great location. Good for large groups" - "I am writing to express my concerns and dissatisfaction with the condition of the cottage I recently rented. While the property was clean, it lacked several essential items that significantly affected my stay. Firstly, the kitchen was inadequately equipped. There were not enough pots and pans to prepare meals properly. Additionally, there was insufficient cutlery provided, which made dining inconvenient. The hot tub, which was a key feature of the property, was disappointing. It was dirty upon arrival, and there were no instructions on how to use it, which added to the frustration. In terms of bedding, there were not enough materials provided, specifically blankets. This made for an uncomfortable experience during colder nights. Another issue was the fan remotes, which were not functioning correctly. We had to try different remotes to turn off a fan, which was quite inconvenient. Moreover, the basement had unfinished work, with drywall having holes in it. This not only looked unappealing but also raised concerns about the overall maintenance of the property. Overall, my experience could have been much better if these basic essentials were addressed. I hope you will take these issues into consideration and make the necessary improvements for future guests. Thank you for your attention to these matters."

- "Had to set mouse traps as they were mice throughout the house, water smelled badly of sulphur was not nice to use. Floors were extremely cold and not nice to walk on without footwear. Bathroom was not practical as there was no mirror behind the sink. Basically a 3 season cottage"
