- "For those wanting to explore North Wales, YHA Pen y Pass is a really good location to stay. " - "In a mountain resort" - "Stayed here overnight with family while on a road trip. Just wanted something cheap and basic but it turned out to be so much more. Our room was basic with bunk beds and a big bathroom. The room was comfortable and fairly quiet but it is a hostel so is basic and you don’t get towels (but it only costs £2.50 to hire one). The reception area has a bar and you can also buy snacks. The staff are very helpful and friendly. You have to pay for parking across the street as there is none around but it’s only cheap. The best part about this place is waking up to the amazing views. We stuck around the next day to take in the breathtaking area and mountain views. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for something cheap and simple with stunning views."

- "This is a pretty unique place, based right underneath Snowden (you pretty much look up at it from your front door). We stayed in the depths of winter, so the place was incredibly beautiful, but the house was incredibly toasty - even when we didn’t have the fire going. The inside has loads of interesting decorations and features. Llanberis is 5 mins down the road, Caernarfon and Anglesea only a bit further. There was tonnes to do, even when we were there. Highly recommended."

Y Bwthyn Llanberis - simply translated as Llanberis Cottage - is a lovely couples getaway at in the heart of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia). A cosy and traditional one bedroom cottage with warming log-burner, the property is found at the foot of the ‘Snowdon Path’ which is just 500m from the world famous Snowdon Mountain Railway, that brings you to the summit of Yr Wyddfa, and even closer to Ceunant Mawr Waterfall, also known as Llanberis Falls. Traditional Welsh Stone Cottage in the heart of Llanberis Pass. Located within the picturesque village of Nant Peris, Terfyn is a 100m from the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) long stay car park that has regular buses to Pen-y-Pass car park for hikers wanting to climb Yr Wyddfa. It is also a 300m walk to Vaynol Arms pub, where you can pop in for a well deserved traditional pub dinner and drink after a long climb.

Terfyn Cottage is the perfect location to enjoy everything Snowdonia National Park has to offer.

The space
Terfyn was a cottage that was rarely used for over 30 years and was in need of care and to be appreciated. I was luckily enough to purchase the property in the beginning of 2022 and spent the year bringing it back to life.

Now it boasts a comfortable log burner in the main living room, a cosy snug and dinning room, three bedrooms, and a modern bathroom. The kitchen is fully functional and has recently been updated. Its the perfect spot to rest your head or enjoy a glass of wine in front of the fire after a long day exploring the wild and beautiful Eryri National Park.

I’m a new to hosting and this is my only listing. I am really passionate to ensure you have an incredible stay at Terfyn, so if you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask! Equally, if you have any specific feedback for me whilst you’re staying, both of what is great and what I could do to improve, I’d love to hear from you.
The cottage is over 150 years old and therefore doesn’t have all the modern facilities- for example, the stairs are fairly steep, it can be chilly (slippers are a must!) and the bathroom is on the ground floor. Please be aware, the garden is yet to be developed and is not secure from the road.

- "This listing is the perfect bolt hole for anyone wishing to explore Snowdonia or Anglesey and the surrounding areas. There are walks from literally right outside the front door, and you are a few minutes walk from a bus which takes you up to Pen y Pass for those wishing to walk up Snowdon. The house itself is well equipped and welcoming, a really traditional Welsh cottage with beautiful open stone work and tiled flooring but the easy to control radiators and wonderful log burner help keep it cosy in cooler weather. The local pub (very easy stroll but be aware it’s along a road with no path- walkers on the road is a regular sight though so most drivers are aware) did a great Sunday lunch and a convenience store in nearby Llanberis caters for basic needs. Mattresses, linens and towels were all top notch and added to the cosy welcoming feel. Elliot is super easy to communicate with and very keen to ensure guests have a good stay. I didn’t even mind washing up during our stay as the view from the windows at the front of the house are simply stunning. Elliot, you have a lovely home in a beautiful location, thank you for sharing it with us!"

- "Beautiful cottage 'away from it all'. Surrounded by mountains and a waterfall about 50m behind the house. All the necessary things are supplied (no wifi but we downloaded a few films to a tablet for the October evenings.) Perfect either as a walking base or, just to disengage and recharge."
