Walking up the pathway towards our room, we met Kent, the owner, clearing snow from the path. Entering the birch forest was magical as the daylight gently filtered through the trees. The first tree house we came upon was the Cabin, more beautiful than imagined. It was sheer delight as he stumbled upon all these magnificent feet of architecture. The Mirrorcube, our final destination, was camouflaged by the forest reflections and surpassed all of our expectations. The cube’s minimalistic interior was exquisitely designed to maximize the efficiency of space. Be aware of young aliens descending from the UFO next door wanting to see how the locals live inside the invisible cube! Sebastian, the chef, is an incredible asset to the Tree Hotel. His arctic char main course was outstanding from the remarkable presentation to delectable taste. He was diligent in making sure my unusual allergies were not present in any ingredients and made creative alternatives as needed, while remaining true to his fresh and locally designed menu. His professionalism was greatly appreciated. Be sure to book the Tree Sauna 2.5 hours before dinner. It is an unique private relaxing experience that we would highly recommend to all. We look forward to our return to the Tree Hotel in the Land of the Midnight Sun!"

- "Not too far from the railway station. Very helpful staff on call and occasionally in person. The rooms were large and well-provisioned, as was the common kitchen, which had a rather large number of utensils, three microwaves, an electric stovetop and even a dishwasher. Breakfast, stocked daily in the fridge, is regular Swedish fare of various breads, deli meats, cheese, butter, boiled eggs, juices, coffee, tea, and yoghurt, and you take whatever you like (tea bags, sugar, drip coffee machines and filter papers are provided in the kitchen along with a tin of coffee). In the rooms, the beds and pillows were exceptionally soft. Couldn't ask for anything better, not just at this price point but from Bed-and-Breakfasts in general."

- "I like the mirrors in the rooms to make up for no windows. When I booked through Expedia, I never got the door code emailed, so I had to call the staff when I got to the hostel. Eventually, I got access, but that was a bit annoying. Otherwise the bathrooms and kitchen were clean and neat. " - "The hostel was very poorly maintained and quite dirty (coffee stains on the walls, showerheads covered in grime, sinks full of hair). The blankets had a lot of hair on them, and in the double beds, they were too short. The mattresses and pillows were quite uncomfortable, and the power outlets were far from the bed. The only positive aspect is the location, right in the city center. However, the worst part was the kitchen—completely unusable due to a constant bad smell, day and night. The furniture was damaged, the pans were in bad shape, the fridges had mold, and the range hoods were placed just 50 cm above the stove."
