OUR MARLOW LOCATION
Our house is in central Marlow, a picturesque riverside town on one of the loveliest stretches of the Thames between Henley and Maidenhead. Marlow is close to London yet surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the Chiltern Hills.

Marlow affords excellent road and train links with easy access to the M4 and the M40. It is located near Windsor, Maidenhead, Henley-on-Thames, Reading, Oxford, and Heathrow Airport (30 minutes). Central London is a 50-minute drive or there are excellent rail connections from Marlow station (to Paddington station) and from High Wycombe (to Marylebone station).

Once at the house you can leave your car and enjoy the town on-foot. We are a two-minute flat walk to the bustling Marlow high street with its many boutique shops, restaurants, coffee shops and bars.

We are less than a five-minute walk from the river Thames and Marlow’s famous suspension bridge and delightful riverside park, Higginson Park. Set in 23 acres besides the Thames, here you’ll find an excellent children’s play area, tennis courts, a small public swimming pool, a cricket-ground, and a skate park. From here too you can enjoy the Thames Path either on foot or by bike or you can take a boat trip on the Thames.
There is an award-winning food scene in Marlow led by Michelin starred Tom Kerridge. He runs three restaurants in the town: Hand in Flower (2 star), The Coach (1 star) and the Butchers’ Arms. Twice Michelin-starred restauranteur Atul Kochhar provides two Indian gastronomic restaurants in the town and there are many other high-quality places to eat.
In nearby Bray you’ll find Alain Roux's The Waterside Inn (3 star) and Heston Blumenthal's Fat Duck (3 star) and his Hinds Head pub (1 Star). A little further afield in Great Milton, near Oxford is the 2-star Michelin restaurant Le Manoir des Quatre Saisons.

The space

Fancy something a little different? Enjoy your holiday in a beautiful private country estate with both a golf course and marina. It is set on the banks of The River Thames between Oxford and London and within only a few miles of both Marlow and Henley-on-Thames.

Our guests often go sightseeing and shopping in both London and Oxford and then return to enjoy the wonderful walks through the Estate and along the river to Marlow or the surrounding villages for a good meal at one of the many excellent pubs and restaurants in the area.

The log cabin is a gorgeous, single story Scandinavian holiday home with a vaulted living room, a fully equipped kitchen and large, south-facing veranda with a fine view. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and there is a further double bedroom and bathroom. Your fully furnished cabin offers you spacious and fun living accommodation. There is WIFI and 2 Smart TVs in the log cabin for your use, one in the sitting room and one in the master bedroom.
This peaceful setting has private parking for two cars.

The log cabin is very different to most holiday homes and our guests always comment on their memorable holiday and as a result, many return more than once!

The space

Fancy something a little different? Enjoy your holiday in a beautiful private country estate with both a golf course and marina. It is set on the banks of The River Thames between Oxford and London and within only a few miles of both Marlow and Henley-on-Thames.

Our guests often go sightseeing and shopping in both London and Oxford and then return to enjoy the wonderful walks through the Estate and along the river to Marlow or the surrounding villages for a good meal at one of the many excellent pubs and restaurants in the area.

The log cabin is a gorgeous, single story Scandinavian holiday home with a vaulted living room, a fully equipped kitchen and large, south east -facing veranda with a fine view. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and there is a further double bedroom and bathroom. Your fully furnished cabin offers you spacious and fun living accommodation. There is WIFI and a Smart TV in the log cabin for your use. This peaceful setting has private parking for two cars.

The log cabin is very different to most holiday homes and our guests always comment on their memorable holiday and as a result, many return more than once!

- "Functional, lacking a few minor things here and there. Furniture not comfortable at all. Very low to ground and "mushy ". The outside chairs, deck, bench etc were veey tired. A bench was broken, one chair as well on the deck and the gate to yard didn't open. None of that affected us as we were rarely there, just for meals and to sleep. We had to buy a shower caddy, toilet paper holder ourselves and a better pot and frying pan. Nice location, very basic and functional, just needjng some TLC . Bonus for washer and dryer. Communication quick as the estate had water issues first three days and the host was quick to send along estate notices. We would stay again, but we are also not looking for luxury stays."

Leading out through the kitchen stable door is the rear door to the property walking out onto a lovely sloped courtyard with garden furniture and a stand-alone gas heater for those chilly nights. Through the gate there is additional secluded tranquil garden to escape away from the busy high street. With an array of different plants and trees. Swinging garden chair to unwind. Table and chairs both in courtyard and in the shaded garden area.

Upstairs to the main cottage it has 2 double bedrooms and overall the property comfortably sleeps 4. In the master bedroom you will find a beautiful vaulted ceiling with a centrepiece antique 4 poster king size bed with simba mattress. It has a recently installed secondary soundproofing window to hide away the high street noise and very generous wardrobe space. It also has a WiFi enabled 55” Smart TV and sky box where you have access to all sky packages including movies and sports.

Outside in the hallway is a dressing area with mirror, which can also be used as a desk if laptop working is a must….. An extension lead for any electrical items can be found behind the bedroom door!

The second bedroom in the main house has a further double bed with ample storage in wardrobe and chest of drawers along with a WiFi enabled Smart 32” TV with a sky box where you have access to sky app packages including movies and sports.

Situated between Henley-On-Thames & Marlow this wonderful rural retreat is for lovers of the great outdoors, it is a great spot for bird watching, you will see squirrels and deers from the house.
The kitchen is the main feature of the house with floor to ceiling glass bringing in natural light and showcasing the spectacular scenery.
There is a small breakfast table overlooking the enchanting views and a separate dining room with seating for up to ten guests.

The lounge is furnished with a comfy L shape sofa and arm chair, throws, TV and an open fire.

The lovely master bedroom boasts views of the countryside, the views can be enjoyed from the comfort of the super king sized bed or from the feature bath which sits in the windows of the spectacular bedroom. There are a further three more bedrooms, one King room with ensuite, a twin room with ensuite and a double bedroom on the ground floor.
The fifth bedroom is in the cabin at the end of the garden. The cabin has its own bathroom as well as a small kitchenette which has a hob and microwave.

Outside you will find a large garden with a BBQ, fire pit and plenty of outside seating.

Whether you enjoy walking or cycling there are plenty of footpaths from the house, the house is also situated just a short walk away from the River Thames where you can join the Thames path. It is a great spot to take our paddle boards or Kayaks out on the river. At the end of the road is the Dog & Badger which serves food and drink.
You are only a short drive away from the picturesque towns of Marlow & Henley-On-Thames famous for the Regatta.

Cosy, and stylish, traditional and modern, this lovely self catering home is surrounded by the most magical countryside scenery.

Situated between Henley-On-Thames & Marlow this wonderful rural retreat is for lovers of the great outdoors, it is a great spot for bird watching, you will see squirrels and deers from the house.
The kitchen is the main feature of the house with floor to ceiling glass bringing in natural light and showcasing the spectacular scenery.
There is a small breakfast table overlooking the enchanting views and a separate dining room with seating for up to ten guests.

The lounge is furnished with a comfy L shape sofa and arm chair, throws, TV and an open fire.

The lovely master bedroom boasts views of the countryside, the views can be enjoyed from the comfort of the super king sized bed or from the feature bath which sits in the windows of the spectacular bedroom. There are a further three more bedrooms, one King room with ensuite, a twin room with ensuite and a double bedroom on the ground floor.

Outside you will find a large garden with a BBQ, fire pit and plenty of outside seating.

Whether you enjoy walking or cycling there are plenty of footpaths from the house, the house is also situated just a short walk away from the River Thames where you can join the Thames path. It is a great spot to take our paddle boards or Kayaks out on the river. At the end of the road is the Dog & Badger which serves food and drink.
You are only a short drive away from the picturesque towns of Marlow & Henley-On-Thames famous for the Regatta.

Please note there is a cabin hidden at the end of the garden, this maybe rented out separately during your stay. Please enquire if you would like to rent the cabin during your stay to sleep a further two guests.
