The house is situated in a quiet area. Opposite is a walk to take a stroll and has a ecovia to Village Anchor Beach (about 3 Km) always by the sea, to make optimum paseios walk. The 50 m has cafes and 200 m cash machine, shops, railway station and the town center.

Great views out of the window over the huge beach and you could watch the pilgrims as they passed by. Easy walk to the station - not many trains but they were cheap - buy tickets on the ap. Choice of eateries nearby but we loved Pra la Caminha. Owners brother Antony met us (and was even kind enough to carry our bags up stairs). The wifi appears to be a personal hotspot - so doesn't support many devices - but it otherwise works well. Parking easy outside (In June anyway). The outside space is wonderful providing opportunities for sun, shade and contemplation. Indoor and outdoor areas are well equipped and comfortable. We found the roof terrace ideal to watch the meteor showers which coincided with our stay. We made full use if the bicycles available at the Casa. The pool is large and deep ideal for swimming. Our older teenage children enjoyed playing pool and chess in the games room. Venade provides a shop for local essentials open everyday, the local barman also assisted us in finding our way at night. Caminha is charming and undiscovered with a good supply of restaurants, bars, helpful tourist office and shops. We enjoyed visiting the local beaches and wonderful sunsets. Francisco and Miguel were very helpful and welcoming."

The house served as headquarters to Napoleon's troops. Built entirely in summer 2010 maintains the original design having been used local materials in its interior and exterior such as slate, shale and granite. WHO IS NOT REQUIRED TO PAY?

a) Guests under the age of 16;

b) Disabled guests, with a disability equal to or greater than 60 per cent, provided they present proof of this condition.

c) Former war veterans or widows/widowers of former war veterans who hold the Former War Veteran and/or Widow/Widower of Former War Veteran cards, under the terms of Law no. 46/2020 of 20 August and Ministerial Order no. 210/2020 of 3 September;

d) Guests whose stay is motivated by eviction situations or situations that imply eviction in similar situations, duly proven;

e) Guests who are temporarily housed by the state and/or municipal social organisations in social or tourist accommodation establishments;

f) Guests who are staying in the establishments mentioned above by express order of the public authorities, as result of a declaration of social emergency or civil protection;

There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team finds evidence that this rule has been violated (e.g smoke smell, ashes, cigarette butts, etc.), a minimum fee of 200 euros will be applied.

If you wish to request a late check-out, please contact our team to check availability. After the check-out time, without prior authorization, a fee of 200 euros per hour will be charged.

To make Caminha more attractive, the municipal tourist tax has come into effect.
The fee of €1.00, included in the total stay price, applies to guests over 16 years old from October 1st to April 30th, and €1.50 from May 1st to September 30th. The fee is charged per person, per night, up to a maximum of 7 nights.
