Santa Paula is a cute town with good food, but it rolls up the sidewalks at 9pm."

You will scrape your car underside on the driveway coming in and out. :) Good location, kind of far from Santa Barbara if you're looking for a place to stay close by, we had to adjust our expectations and spent most of our time in Ventura and the Channel Islands area instead. Ariel was very nice to work with and responsive. Bed and couches very comfortable. Kitchen equipment to make your own food which can keep costs down on your vacation. The living room has a smart TV for you enjoy Netflix and or other subscription channels. Optional linen service can be provided, but there are plenty of towels and an extra set of clean sheets for you to use during your stay. Welcome to the beautiful brand new spacious home, centrally located close to beautiful Ventura and Oxnard beaches, only 30 minute drive to Ojai with its unique atmosphere, gorgeous local restaurants, locally grown fruits and veggies on the farmers market and breathtaking views. Surrounded by the hills and orchards, you will be waking up in the mornings and enjoy morning breeze from the ocean, palm trees and blue skies.

- "There was absolutely zero communication from the host except a note they were cancelling due to maintenance issues on the day we were arriving after three days on the road with teens. Stay was refunded and VRBO was amazing at finding us a place to stay last minute, putting us in a nice hotel that night at their expense and finding us a replacement rental, but the entire experience prior to VRBO stepping in was a nightmare. I can’t say anything about the house. I know the location and my daughter has friends in that neighborhood. The house should be fairly new, and the neighborhood is safe. About 15-20 minutes from beaches in Ventura. 25 minutes from Oxnard beaches, and 40+ minutes from Carpinteria/Santa Barbara beaches, keeping in mind highway 101 between Ventura and Santa Barbara is in a constant state of construction. Lesson learned: Do not book a property unless the host is responsive to inquiries and readily accessible for timely communication."
