Located at Silver Strand Beach. We are on the South side of Channel Island Harbor. This beach is best known for its surf and the place where all the actors bought little bungalow type homes in the 1960. Their little slice of heaven, is now ours. Thanks Malibu you can have them.

There is a farmers market at the harbor every weekend. There is always something going on at the harbor, tall ships, music, great restaurants, there is something for everyone.

Silver Strand Beach: It is almost a private beach so don't worry about finding a nice spot on the beach. There aren't very many beaches that can brag that they are pet friendly, kid friendly and are also a great surf spot.

Sit back & relax: Take the chairs to the beach, sit back and watch the whales, surfers, windsurfers, kite-surfers or the ultralights overhead. This is truly a beach that an uncrowded get away.

Yes you can walk your dog on the beach, but you are suppose to use a leash and there are time restrictions.

We came to California for a wedding but really the most memorable part of our trip was the cottage and how convenient it was to everything. The beach is right across the street and many restaurants are in walking or biking distance. There are also tons of activities in close distance including kayaking, sportfishing, jet skis, etc.

Getting Around:
If you’re just getting around the neighborhood you can use the Bikes or even walk to the beach in about 2 minutes.

The house is technically a duplex and There is a separate downstairs unit where the owner may stay on occasion. His entrance is through the sliding glass door in the front, which is separate from the guest entrance to the upstairs of the house.

Fun at the beach!

Just two blocks from Silverstrand Beach, this cozy, sunny, beach home is perfect for a fun family vacation, exciting surfing trip with friends or just enjoy relaxing in the sun. Walking distance to the Channel Island harbor you will have many restaurant and shopping choices.

The bottom floor has a comfy new king-size bed (3/22) and TV in the master. It opens up to a romantic private patio where you can enjoy your morning coffee or evening night cap.

The second bedroom has two new twin beds. Both rooms have ample storage, all bedding, with lots of pillows.

The upper floor boasts a fully equipped newly remodeled kitchen (3/22)with everything you will need to prepare any meal or a microwave to warm up a quick snack. The dining area seats 5 plus you can also eat at the kitchen counter, as well as this two-story house has a huge sunny deck with a gas barbecue grill and outdoor furniture. So you will feel right at home, the family room has a Tv/dvd player and all rooms are set up for internet connections.

As a bonus you can enjoy some quality family entertainment time in the converted garage. Or indulge in some 'us' time as the kids play on the ping pong, board and video games or watch TV. Also sleeps two in the Futon on those warm summer nights.

The home was just recently gone thru with a fairly extensive remodel. All the walls were textured out for a smooth modern look, ceiling fans were installed in both bedrooms, lighting was updated thru out, the kitchen is completely remodeled with a gas stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. The outside deck was resurfaced along with new stainless steel railing and of course the homes interior was completely painted.

If you’re just getting around the neighborhood you can use the Bikes or even walk to the beach in about 2 minutes. There are tons of restaurants and activities in close proximity but driving is recommended.

Other Things to Note:
We are in a very quiet luxury gated community by the beach with an HOA; Neighbors will complain if there's excess noise. If there are disturbances we may have to charge a fee. There are outside cameras and inside there are noise decibel monitors to make sure there are no major disturbances. If you throw a party we may have to kick you out immediately. There is a separate downstairs unit with a separate entrance occupied by a female tenant - there is no shared space except for the front gate and trash area.

The kitchen is fully stocked and has a coffee/tea bar with brand new Keurig machine, drip coffee and tea options - ready for you to enjoy. The kitchen has a cozy corner-nook with a custom padded bench and plenty of seating.

// The Backyard

The kitchen door leads right out to the spacious backyard, with a covered outdoor patio, a jacuzzi and even an outdoor shower with hot water to rinse off when you come back from the beach!

Feel free to borrow our surfboard and two boogie boards - we love for guests to take them down to the beach. There’s a stackable washer and dryer just outside the kitchen door.

There are two bedrooms and a full bathroom. One bedroom has a king sized bed, and the second bedroom has a queen sized bed.

Both rooms have their own flat-screen smart TVs that are ready for easy access to your favorite apps (just bring your account) to Netflix, Hulu, Apple Tv, Prime etc.

The location is one short block from the beach which has gorgeous sunsets! The neighborhood is easy walking with lots of people up early taking their pups for walks. Very friendly folks! The place was cute. I made the owner aware of the very slippery floors in the bathroom and the need for grab bars and a bigger anti slip mat in the shower. She said she would address. The back yard is not accessible except by going out the front door and opening a side gate. The fence between its duplex neighbor has a couple boards missing( which she said they would address. However between that and many surf boards and other fun items you are able to use, it is NOT a backyard to let a dog run around. It was not a problem for us as we needed to keep ours very clean and I enjoy walking my dogs. Overall it was perfect for us and we would return. "

The unit is also a short walk to the beach which was quiet enough to let the dog run off leash. The unit itself was extremely comfortable and clean and had everything that was needed for a comfortable stay. I can't recommend this unit enough for an extended stay in the Port Hueneme area."
