In our coastal zone there is no end of urban adventuring and nature to experience. The Santa Ynez Valley wine country is 45 to the north and Ojai is 30 minutes east. There is so much to do here and we are happy to share our favorite outings!

Highway 101 and the train run along the ocean, four blocks down from the cottage. With the unobstructed ocean view, you will hear sounds from both. The only small surprise is that the property doesn't have an oven or toaster oven. That's probably in the description and I didn't notice. It does have a toaster and a microwave, and that was fine for us. I highly recommend staying here, and hope to return! Thank you!"

In order to keep water in the tub they had a weird set of shower curtains set up which I didn’t like. It wasn’t possible to take a bath? Short drive to Montecito -use the frontage road, no need for the 101. If you have a dog with you, use the self-serve dog wash at the park and come home with clean doggie!! The delightful Palm Cottage is centrally located in Summerland California. Hard wood and tile floors. Casa Tropical has 2 kayaks are available for use . There is a fenced back yard perfect for your pooch. This is an historic beach cottage duplex for a perfect vacation near the beach in a safe. Shopping and relaxing on Lillie Avenue is your perfect activity followed by relaxing in your private yard. Private key pad gate goes out for your own entrance. Our bottom floor unit is completely on a level itself with its own entrance. It has a private entrance that is easy walking to multiple locations including antiques, shops, dinner and the beach. It's cottage-y not condo-y. A great place to retreat from the beach or area activities. There is a huge walk in closet as well!

The owners have taken meticulous care of this home to keep it up to date and full of its original charm. The cozy Living Room features a bay window, leading into a formal Dining Room and Kitchen. The two Bedrooms provide comfortable accommodations and the Bathroom boasts a clawfoot tub/shower. The spacious backyard includes dining and lounge space as well as an outdoor shower. - "Only one minor suggestion, the home is near the busy road. There is persistent road noise as very common in Santa Barbara, not unusual. Perhaps suggest that for the noise sensitive to bring noise cancelling headphones for sleeping. Great place, loved it, would stay there 50 x over if given the opportunity. The cottage is cozy and comfortable, but please remember it’s an older home. The hardwood floors creak a little, and the tile in the kitchen isn’t new. Lillie’s BOHO surf cottage is full of soul and good vibrations. With a wood stove in the main room, this vacation rental is NOT equipped with heat or air-conditioning. Space heaters are provided for each room. There is no dishwasher. A community tennis and basketball courts are a few minutes walk from the house. Lookout Park is located nearby and has a playground for young children. Parking notes: Free parking is available in the driveway for two vehicles. Due to local laws, guests must be at least 21 to book. A parent or legal guardian must accompany guests under 21 for the reservation duration.

This location is private but provides to access some of Santa Barbara’s most popular destinations in under a 10 min drive. Including but not limited to, Santa Barbara Golf Club, Butterfly Beach, East Beach, West Beach, Leadbetter Beach, La Cumbre Plaza, Stearns Wharf, and Santa Barbara Botanic Garden! Summerland Beach, and local classic restaurants are within walking distance. Downtown Santa Barbara is a 4 min drive, and is lined with upscale restaurants, shops, and activities for any season. Only 2 minutes away, you can also enjoy what Montecito has to offer.

When entering the home, you'll instantly be drawn to the shades of blue on the horizon. Head out to the oversized balcony and take your time to relax outside on the patio furniture to breathe in the salty air - you’re on vacation after all! A retractable awning is available for extra sun protection.

Back inside, you are greeted with unique vaulted ceilings that offer an open and airy layout. The apartment is loft-style so you can expect an open concept between the kitchen space, living room, and bedroom.

The kitchen offers modern stainless steel appliances and is fully equipped for you to enjoy any meal at home. You can expect to find a drip coffee maker, and toaster in addition to necessary cookware and flatware. This is an eat-in kitchen to seat 4 with stools at the counter.

The living room is cozy with a loveseat, coffee table, desk and a large sliding glass door that opens to the outside balcony. Adjacent to the living room you can find a Queen bed with a dresser and TV. The bathroom is steps away from the bed and offers a vanity with ample counter space and a standing shower with lovely stone tile work.

The costal location of this property is near HWY 101 and the Amtrak rails, vehicles and passing trains may be heard.

This place was close to Santa Barbara and Carpinteria where we were visiting. I would love to stay here again. Located in a historic Summerland initially built in 1844 and thoughtfully updated by the current owner, this space features spectacular coastal views overlooking the ocean and the Channel Islands.

The two bedrooms provide sleeping for seven (one bedroom is fully private with a queen bed and a day bed, while the other has a curtain door, bunk beds, and ocean views). The spacious kitchen and dining area are great for sharing meals with family and friends.

The great room includes lots of space, a comfortable seating area, a dining area overlooking the town of Summerland and the ocean, a TV/game area, a workspace, and a yoga corner (or dance floor for the kids!).

The kitchenette includes a coffee maker and tea kettle, mini fridge, double burner, microwave, toaster, and toaster oven.
