I especially loved how well my dog was treated at the establishment." - "The Leta is bright, clean, comfortable, well-priced, and excellently located as a home base for wine tasting or trips into Santa Barbara. We didn't get a chance to try the restaurant but we enjoyed the coffee put out in the lobby in the mornings. This beautiful home offers new construction with attention to detail and design and the finest amenities. It is decorated in a "beach house theme" which reflects the beach atmosphere and invites guests to enjoy the feeling of relaxation and comfort of the oceanfront setting.

The main living area has a large flat screen TV, fully equipped kitchen with large granite counter and seating for up to 8 guests, and two decks overlooking the panoramic ocean view. From the decks, guests can watch the ever-changing ocean scene, from dolphins, whales and pelicans, to surfers, kayakers and stand-up paddle boarders. The interior is very warm and inviting with it's wood floors, comfortable furnishings and cozy beds. A very functional and modern well stocked kitchen which is perfect for cooking and entertaining . The house consists of four bedrooms each consisting of a queen bed. In addition, the living room has a queen futon sofa which can also be converted to a flat bed. Atleast 3 cars can be parked on the driveway and plenty of free street parking is available as well.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS: Your hosts are friendly, well-educated and, because of their many travels worldwide, would enjoy meeting our guests and talking experiences, backgrounds, and even politics and religion. We live on another part of the ranch about a 1/4 mile away close to our son and his wife and 3 of 5 grandsons.

BAR-B-QUE: Burners and the small tank under the Bar-B-Que must be turned off after using.
CENTRAL HEATING: Thermostat is on the wall between the kitchen and the family room. A comfortable setting should not be above 73 degrees. Please shut off when you leave the house
EVENTS: Talk to the Hosts regarding the possibility of having an event or party at the home or on the ranch. There is a diversity of locations and facilities. For day use of the home, such as having guests over for lunches/dinners, a charge of $10 per person for groups over the limit of 6 people.
EXERCISE EQUIPMENT: An exercise room is available. Use equipment at your own risk and ask management if you are not sure how to safely use any piece of equipment.
EXTRAS AVAILABLE: For an extra charge, an additional room could be made available on another part of the ranch and there is generally room for a Recreational Vehicle with some hook ups.
FIREPLACE: The indoor fireplace may only be used with the paper wrapped fire log provided. The same is true for the outside stove by the patio. Do not use cut firewood in either fireplace. There are three cast iron metal stoves which are not to be used as they are for decoration only.
GARAGE: This is presently being used for storage and is not available for use. The round old water tank at the top of the hill is off limits.
HOT TUB: The hot tub is on a timer and the timing is not to be changed. The tub is set to be at 100 degrees and if a hotter temperature is desired, the ^ button must be pushed a degree at a time until the desired temperature is indicated on the panel. The temperature will go up at a rate of 5 degrees per hour to a maximum of 104 degrees.
KITCHEN: Pots, pans, utensils and glass ware is all in typical locations. Some appliances like a bread maker, ice cream maker, etc. may be in a kitchen cabinet, not readily visible. A dishwasher is available and detergent is provided.
LAUNDRY: A washer and dryer are in the home. Detergent is provided.
PARKING: Parking is free and there is generally ample room for guest parking. As a convenience note, the driveway to the right of the garage makes a loop around the old water tank. Be careful going by the garage and the rock wall along the driveway as it could be narrower than one may be used to.
PATIO/UMBRELLA: Make sure that it is lowered in case a wind could come up unexpectedly, especially at night.
SPORTS EQUIPMENT: In the exercise room in the home, sports equipment such as a basketball, croquet, bocce balls, etc. are available. Please return to the same place where found when finished using the equipment.
TV/WIFI: TV remotes are specifically for the TV in that room. They will not work on the TV in the other room. WIFI accessibility is available in and around the home. Some locations may have better speed than other locations. The password to link up to the wireless internet is 650GAR or 650rental.

We have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, all the bedrooms have black out blinds for a full nights sleep. There are new fixtures in both bathrooms with shower spray heads, removable sprayers and plenty of towels.
The Master Bedroom has a brand new Dream Cloud Queen mattress for a blissful nights sleep that adjusts to both zero gravity and has massage features for both head and feet. The second bedroom also has a queen bed with a foam topper for extra comfort and is where the internet comes into the house, so we have stationed a desk right there so you can easily plug into the Ethernet and of course, there is high speed internet WIFI throughout the house, including repeaters to spread the signal to the garage and outside. The middle bedroom has 1 fully adjustable Lucio foam bed in an Extra LONG twin for those that are tall out there, with adjustable zero gravity setting and separate head and foot elevation and another regular daybed with a comfy pillowtop mattress.
The living area where the surround sound system and 70 inch TV has 2 full size couches, 1 that has recliners at each end and the room has a separate leather rocker recliner. The Kitchen is open to the dining area and looks out onto the pool area and at the wide open blue sky out our back windows.

This is our primary home, not a full time rental, so be prepared to see family photos in the hallway and some framed children's artwork. We are teachers who love to travel with our family during the summer. That said, our house is in a residential neighborhood with sidewalks and parks. It's conveniently located near Haskell's Beach (2 miles away), Devereux Beach, Goleta Beach, a large shopping center with Costco, Albertson's, theaters, restaurants, breweries and UCSB. Our house is walking distance to 3 parks and a disc golf course. It's a short drive from downtown Santa Barbara (15-20 minutes), the airport (5 miles) and the Amtrak station (4 miles).

Our home has a 1600 ft floor plan home plus a garage, located on a cul de sac. We have 2 children, so it is kid friendly. 2 bedrooms have queen size beds, one has 2 twin beds and the fourth has a double bed. We have a living room and family room (which has a desk, piano and fireplace (solely for ambiance, not warmth)), dining area and kitchen. Our backyard consists of a large grass area, redwood pergola and large patio with table and plenty of seating. We also lots of toys to play with in the back yard - a ping pong table, corn hole, disc golf basket, trampoline and small climbing wall to use at your own risk.

In the connected garage you'll find our washer/dryer which is available for stays 5 nights and longer. There is also a couch and tv perfect for the kids to escape :) We typically leave boogie boards and foam surfboards available for use in the garage (please check with us prior to your stay if interested in these items). We have over 15 fruit trees that, if with ripe fruit, you may pick. The kitchen will be stocked with all the necessary pots/pans, and cutlery to make any meal. We are 2 mins walking distance to 7 11 convenient store, bars and Home Plate restaurant. Your private garden is perfect for Al fresco dinning, winding down with a glass of wine while gazing at the stars and moon. The garden is also a perfect place to work with many chirping friends flying by.
We have a large walk in closet which can fit a twin bed in case you have extra guest or young child. (upon request) In addition, a workstation with papers, envelopes, etc. In the event that you need something printed out, scanned, or fax.. We can help you with that too!
Currently we do not have cable tv, but have a Smart Tv loaded with Netflix, Youtube, Disney +, Hulu and many movie choices as well as a DVD player.
We do not have a bathtub. We have a two person walk in shower with bench seat in Italian marble and bronze medallion. The bay window view to the garden.
