The room had all kinds of interesting Civil War and Titanic era items on display-- it was like staying at a museum. I've visited the Biltmore several times and I really felt like I was staying at a place on par with it. I felt straight up regal taking a jacuzzi bath and climbing into a tall, velvety bed. The room I was in had a side room with a bookcase and secretary desk and balcony-- there was a safe hidden behind a painting--I felt like I was a queen in an escape room in the best way possible. The amenities were so clean, the house was beautifully decorated, and the attention to detail blew me away. I loved that even with all the history and honoring the past (the skeleton keys to the rooms are the original locks!), I got to enjoy my modern comforts of streaming TV and free WiFi. Pat and her nephew, Mike, were incredible hosts-- breakfast was amazing and I felt like royalty enjoying it by myself at the lavish dining room table as classical music played! I was living out a regal fantasy I didn't even know I HAD. I couldn't have scripted out a better stay if I tried. If you are looking for a unique stay that will come with a story that your friends will only believe if you send them pictures, I highly recommend this place! I also appreciate the effort to preserve the convent house (Chateau Connellsville's original use, for Immaculate Mary Catholic Church next door)--Connellsville has some rich history, and this property is no exception. Ordinarily, a Comfort Inn wouldn't be on my radar, but based on what I've seen, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there if visiting Connellsville and I couldn't get a room at Chateau Connellsville. "

- "House is well styled and very clean. Only bathroom is accessed theough a bedroom upstairs. Not enough towels for 6 people. No amenities as I've found in previous rentals such as no: hair dryer, shampoo, shower soap. Not enough linens for 6 people to sleep. Pull out couch, but no sheets or blankets. Bed upstairs had no sheets. No extra pillows. Difficulty with lock/access and local contatct info was incorrect/disconnected owner was very helpful when I did reach her by email and rental company was very responsive.. I wouldn't recommend for 6 people, maybe 2 or 3 max."

The Garnet room includes a queen cherry bed and twin cherry daybed. Just across the hall is a private bath with stand-up shower. The bathroom is designated for only the Garnet room and is located just a few short feet across the hall. Guests can look out their window at our barn and see the hustle and bustle of farm life. The Garnet room is named for Vickie's first 4-H calf who laid the foundation for her love of Guernsey cows. In room air conditioning is available in the summer as well as a ceiling fan to keep you comfortable. A hand braided rug will warm your feet when you step out of bed in the morning and a small desk and closet provide room for you to work and store your belongings while you are here. This room can connect to the Annalee room if your group is in need of additional space. It is located on the second floor and you must be able to climb stairs. A small refrigerator is also included. Farm fresh breakfast is included and features our own cheeses, eggs and as many local ingredients as we can. Visit our calves, gather eggs, and enjoy our flower fields in the summer. Guests can enjoy rocking on the porch or time in our pavilion which includes a firepit and propane grill. Hot dog sticks and complimentary marshmallows are available. You can also add a wine & cheese package that includes cheese made from our own Guernsey cows. We look forward to seeing you at Maple Bottom Farm. The best memories are made on the farm.

What our guests love about our listing:

--The gel memory foam beds with down-filled pillows and comforter along with cotton alternative pillows and 100% organic cotton linens allows you to get that perfect sleep just how you like it and leave you feeling like you're sleeping in the clouds.

-Our home features a couchbed, which is not only for sleeping an extra guest, but is also perfect to snuggle up in one of the many extra blankets for a cozy movie night through Netflix on the large 50” smart TV with a bowl of popcorn.

-The space was designed with children in mind, providing toys (Lincoln logs, wooden toy tractor with cart, board games and books) for all ages, a highchair, step stool, and a pack-n-play with a 2" Memory foam mattress and all organic cotton crib sheet and blanket, making sure they have the best environment to thrive, by reducing harmful household toxins and having a beautiful yet secure place to stay….so as a parent you can truly kick back and relax.

What some of our guests don’t like about our listing:
-There is no included yard in the provided guest space, the owner reserves this for their own use. There are many attractions very close to get out and stretch restless limbs- including train display at the Connellsville Canteen, peaceful hiking/biking trails along the Yough river park which can easily be found with the help of our guest guide book.
-Our home is a multi-family property which means there is a potential for noise and sounds from the house adjacent where the owner lives. These spaces are completely separate with their own private entrance and the only space shared between them is the mudroom/entry to access the garage.

Our home comfortably sleeps up to 6 people. The Master is a queen size bed and the second is a full size bed. The bonus room is equipped with a brand new full sofa bed with an included memory foam topper.
All beds are made with freshly cleaned linens.

Please note that profiles with less than 3 reviews or a lower rating than 4.5 star overall rating will not be allowed to book our property on an instant book basis and if for whatever reason the reservation confirms through the system, the reservation may be cancelled. With a plethora of local restaurants, shops and family-friendly activities this destination allows your family to relax together, or be close to outdoor activities such as Ohiopyle, the GAP hike/bike trail, Youghiogheny River, Fallingwater, Seven Springs Resort, local Connellsville Coal and Train Town history, and so much more!

Enjoy the convenience of 2 bathrooms equipped with a hairdryer. Relax in the living room with a sofa bed and futon for additional sleeping space. A very quiet and peaceful mobile home / guest house located in Connellsville Pennsylvania. We are close to many popular sites such as the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail and the Laurel Highlands. If you are looking for a place to unwind or just a place to get away for awhile and do not care for hotels or people drama at the end of the day then this place is a good fit. In the evenings the crickets are the loudest noise in the air and many mornings there is deer in the yard.
The space
Private guest house in a very quiet neighborhood. Located close to the top of a ridge so there is usually some breeze and never humid.

The main bedroom has a queen bed and the 2nd bed room has a twin trundle bed. There is also a pull out couch and air mattresses if needed.
Guest access
The whole place is yours. Treat it as you would treat your own home.

Maple Bottom Farm is owned by Vickie & Mike Baker and our children Lee & Clara. Our Farmhouse B&B is family operated with Vickie's mother, Susan Ansell. We are located on a dead end road in Dawson, PA , just minutes from Scottdale and Connellsville, and are less than an hour from Pittsburgh. We are close to Frank Llyod Wright's Fallingwater and Ohiopyle State Park.
Guests can enjoy a farm-stay or agri-tourism activity. Our goal is to provide families with a relaxing experience in our updated Farmhouse. Help us feed our calves and gathe ryour own eggs. Breakfast is simple and features many items grown right here on the farm. We hope that you enjoy your stay with us.

Our dairy consists of a DeLaval robotic milker and we process Golden Guernsey dairy products as part of Naturally Golden Family Farms, a group of local family farms working together to bring quality dairy products to our community.
We feature a sunflower field in the summer as well as acres of wildflowers.
