I walked everywhere! People have noted that there is no elevator and so the stairs are hard to manage with luggage. That’s true but I stayed for almost a week and that didn’t bother me. The breakfast situation is quirky… a mixture of breathless room service (lady suffering the stairs) and restaurant buffet. Very friendly staff and no shortage of quaint character about the place. I felt very at home. The room was spacious with a small kitchen. The bed was fine and the TV worked (but I never watched it). The tiles in the bathroom floor need some maintenance/repair but that’s just par for the course I think and again of no concern to me (but it might bother others). For the price I think it’s excellent value. And especially if like me you are an experienced and robust traveller, I doubt there are better accommodation deals to be had in Torun. - "This was an excellent apartment in a very central position and also not far to the bus stop for reaching the railway station. The included breakfast voucher for the attached restaurant allowed for a generous amount from the menu and the food was excellent. The only problem is it didn’t open until 9 so we were unable to get breakfast on the last day, although we possibly could have asked for something prepared in advance had we thought about it. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and we were offered the choice of using the voucher for dinner another day or having something delivered the night before which we did and it was very good. And it is cold winter, if that’s the first thing why do you first ask me if I can get in. You can say I will send you the instructions by 3:30 or something like that. Then she said she is I. Meeting, she asked again my name and I asked if I can check in early, then there is no reply at all. I went back to the restaurant, my foods are completely cold. I have to take my family to a cafe to warm up, we spend $90 for waiting for a room costed less than $80. Until 4:30pm, I pinged her again to ask for instructions, still nothing. I contacted Expedia, the agent there said they will reach out to her, two mins later, she sends the instructions,finally we got in the apartment by 5pm. The wifi code was wrong "

- "When we arrived the whole apartment smelled of sewer, like there hadn’t been anyone in several weeks. After a few hours of running water intermittently and opening the window we could get the smell out. There was both a dishwasher and a washing machine but nowhere to hang wet clothes to dry. Hanging them on the (turned off) towel dryer in the bathroom made the clothes not dry at all in 2 days as the bathroom was always very, very humid. Other than that, the apartment was clean, everything worked. There apartment is in the corner of a VERY busy city street, meaning open window because of heat = heat the trains and sirens every few minutes. Very central, easy to get food. Parking for a fee just outside the door, very good. No instructions on where to go leave the garbage, didn’t see anywhere and ended up taking it with us when we left. The sofa bed has HARD crossbars throughout it. The loft bed is comfortable though. The price was very low and for that price I think it’s ok, even with all of the above. 3/5 stars. "
