There is a beautiful monastery on a promontory at the far side, a tiny island in the middle of the bay, and of course the turquoise Adriatic sea. You can watch the yachts and fishing boats come and go, and enjoy the evening sun as it sets across the bay. Vis is blessed with some stunning sunsets and you will have the best position to enjoy them.

The great advantage of our location in Kut is that you don't need a car the whole time. You can walk to the quayside in a few minutes where there are shops, grocery stores, bakerys, bars and restaurants. Your evenings can be much more relaxing as you stroll around the bay deciding on your restaurant for the evening. Or you can "eat in" enjoying the balmy night air on our middle terrace with atmospheric lighting over the marble dining table.

There are three main villages on the island - Vis 'Town' and Kut are on either side a a fabulous C-shaped bay on the north-eastern coast, while Komiza, a tiny fishing village is on the far west side of the island. The mountainous interior is scenic, well worth visiting. There are great beaches near to all the 3 main villages, and a few smaller ones down the east and south coast of the island, near to Stoncica, Milna and Rukavac. There are both pebble and sand beaches on Vis.

Please be aware that Vis is a hilly island and both Vis Town, Kut and Komiza have several sets of stone steps, usually on the lanes leading down to the quayside or towards the beaches. This holiday is not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.

If the villa is booked as 3-bed, without the apartment, there may be other guests in the apartment at the same time, but this does not affect privacy in the main villa in any way. Apartment guests do not have any access to the pool or to the villa's terraces as they are on a different level with a different aspect and the gate is locked. The villa’s top terrace has the pool, sunbeds, and evening drinks area. The mid terrace has a huge marble table for shady meals. This fabulous luxury property, known as Jasmine Apartment, is a beautiful old stone building, in the Venetian style, which has everything you could want for the perfect holiday. It was renovated by its English owners to an extremely high standard of style and comfort, yet retaining much of the Venetian character of the outer building.

As you approach the front door you pass under a pergola of bougainvillea by the gate. The large garden terrace has wonderful views across the bay and out to sea and is spilling with tubs of colourful pelargoniums. There is plenty of space for four comfy sunbeds, with deep cushions, and lots of sunshine for most of the day, and then round a corner in the shade you'll find the dining table and four chairs for outside dining.

Inside there is a beautiful sitting room with sofa (can become a double bed), flat-screen TV and great views from the floor to ceiling glass doors. Along one side of the sitting room is the kitchen which is very well equipped with oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster and every utensil you could wish for. It also has a washing machine + tumble dryer.

There is a spacious and romantic bedroom with super-king-size bed and a large ensuite shower room. There are lovely views from the bedroom window and french doors to one part of the terrace garden.

Jasmine apartment is located in a quiet village just a few steps above a pretty, bustling quayside with its shops and restaurants, on the charming island of Vis. It is completely private from Jasmine villa.

The great advantage of this location is that you don't need a car the whole time. Your evenings can be much more relaxing as you stroll around the bay deciding on your restaurant for the evening.

Very comfortable and well-kept penthouse apartment is on the entire upper floor with 80 m² living space and 65 m² terrace, for 2 to 4 people.
On the large terrace, equipped with garden furniture, you can really enjoy your vacation. Our de apartment is located on the southeast side of the island of Vis in the bay Milna (Zenka) with a beautiful view of the open sea and small islets. The city of Vis is 8 km and the city of Komiza is 12 km away from us. Is comfortable and newly furnished, with fully equipped kitchen, living room, bedroom with bed linen, towels (no beach towels) terrace with sea view and garden furniture. The apartments have air conditioning and LCD TV. They are about 40 m from the sea. In a circle of 2 km beautiful sandy beaches and inn with excellent Dalmatian cuisine can be reached. Every day (except Sunday) a delivery service with fresh pastries and fruit and vegetables comes directly in front of the apartment house. We have excellent food at the island of Vis , great small local restaurants I can recommend ( I have a long list of my secret top local places) , and shopping is no problem at all, you would have everything you need:
- First Supermarket for daily shopping is very close in nearby village of Podstrazje 1,5 km , only few minutes with a car from our villa, and big supermarkets in Vis town( 10 min away) and Komiža town (20 min away) are open seven days a week until late evening 21.00 h , you can find everything there
- Our Local baker delivers fresh bread daily every morning around 8.30h , directly to you at Villa Tempera parking place , as well as fresh fruit and vegetables, milk, eggs –nearly every day, min. twice a week in the afternoon.
- Local fruit and vegetable and fish markets are open daily in neraby VIS town (9km – less than 10 min with a car ) .You can also buy fresh fish directly off the fishing boats in nearby Rukavac village ( 3km from villa), like we do, it is perfect fish!

- "After all the crowds on the Croation Coast, it was a reall gift to arrive on the beautifull and quiet island of Vis. When we arrived at the villa we were welcomed with champagne by Sanja and her husband (the owners). They are really helpfull, also when planning our trip they advised us about where to rent the car, the boat, etc. The villa is an oasis. It is situated on the seaside so you have direct acces to the sea. It has various terraces from where you an see the sea, enjoy views of boats sailing by, other islands,. The sea has a beautifull colour and the only thing you need are some watershoes because of the stones in the water. We rented a small motorboat for ten people which we could moore just in front of the villa, so we could each day make beautifull boat trips to Hvar (close by), the green and blue cave, Vis city, etc. It is really strategicaly located to visit many places by boat. In the interior there are 5 bedrooms each with its own bathroom. The villa is clean and really well kept and looks like new on the in and outside. In the price included they came cleaning twice a week. It's perfect to stay with two families like we did. The kitchen is not really big but it has really everything you need to make all kind of meals. From the house you are in 10 minutes in Vis city and like 30 minutes in Komica. Two beautifull old cities without all the crowds, hardly andy traffic on the island. I think it is a well kept secret, the island of Vis and I hope it will stay that way for a long time."

The property occupies the prime position on the bay, so it has wonderful views over the bay of Vis which is a picture postcard setting. There is a beautiful monastery on a promontory at the far side, a tiny island in the middle of the bay, and of course the turquoise Adriatic sea. You can watch the yachts and fishing boats come and go, and enjoy the evening sun as it sets across the bay. Vis is blessed with some stunning sunsets and you will have the best position to enjoy them.

The great advantage of our location in Kut is that you don't need a car the whole time. You can walk to the quayside in a few minutes where there are shops, grocery stores, bakerys, bars and restaurants. Your evenings can be much more relaxing as you stroll around the bay deciding on your restaurant for the evening. Or you can "eat in" enjoying the balmy night air on our middle terrace with atmospheric lighting over the marble dining table.

The island of Vis would suit people who want a completely different holiday, dislike commercialisation, and enjoy really good food and wine. They may also have an interest in history (lots of naval history), sailing, diving (Greek, Roman and 16c/17c/18c wrecks), vineyards, ecology (said to be the only totally organic island in the world) and incredible ice-cream.

The island is one of the few genuinely unspoilt islands in the Mediterranean - no high-rise hotels or villa parks here - yet it has a sophisticated Dalmatian culture and excellent food.

There are three main villages on the island - Vis 'Town' and Kut are on either side a a fabulous C-shaped bay on the north-eastern coast, while Komiza, a tiny fishing village is on the far west side of the island. The mountainous interior is scenic, well worth visiting. There are great beaches near to all the 3 main villages, and a few smaller ones down the east and south coast of the island, near to Stoncica, Milna and Rukavac. There are both pebble and sand beaches on Vis.

Please be aware that Vis is a hilly island and both Vis Town, Kut and Komiza have several sets of stone steps, usually on the lanes leading down to the quayside or towards the beaches. This holiday is not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.

This listing offers the whole property (villa and apartment) so you will have a large villa with 4 bedrooms plus quality double sofabed in the second sitting room. (There is a separate listing for the villa with just three bedrooms).
Outside you will have all three garden terraces, which are filled with bougainvillea and pelargoniums. Everywhere has wonderful views.
The top terrace has the pool, plenty of sunbeds, and an evening drinks area where you can watch the sunset. The medium pool is 5 ft deep all round, and has entrance steps.
The mid terrace has a huge stone table for shady meals, and a relaxing area with two lounger chairs, facing the bay, ideal for those romantic moments as the sun goes down.
The lower terrace has another set of table and chairs, plus sunbeds, and a pretty pergola of bougainvillea....and more lovely views.

- "We had the opportunity to rent the entire property, both the house and the apartment, for a full week. What a beautiful house! Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom, which helps ensure privacy. The kitchen is well equipped, and the living quarters are cozy. The highlight is most definitely the pool, with unarguably one of the most beautiful views on Vis. There are nearby beaches, but it was very nice to come back to the house after a hot day and take a dip in the pool. The apartment is very nice, although more basic than the house, with an efficiency level kitchen and lower ceilings. As a note, the bathroom is in the apartment bedroom, so if someone is staying on the pullout in the apartment, they will need to access the bathroom through the bedroom. I would caution families with young children that everything is very new feeling and well-kept, and there are warnings in the renter's manual at the fragility and porousness of the tables and counters. And, everything is white! Very clean feeling, but that could have some parents on edge. The house is perfect for groups of friends looking to enjoy the magical island of Vis. Like most of old town Kut, there are many stairs to navigate, and may not be ideal for disabled or elderly travelers. But once down the stairs, there are plenty of restaurants, bakeries, and shops nearby. Laura, the housekeeper, was very responsive to the few requests we had, and Ivan, the taxi driver who greeted our ferry arrival, was helpful and available throughout the trip. Jan, the owner of the house, was incredibly responsive to message prior to our arrival on the island, and helpful in providing information on what we should see and do during our stay. The washer/dryer helped us reduce packing, but the dryer is very typical of Europe and incredibly slow. Luckily, the house was equipped with a drying rack as well. There is a grocery store nearby, but if you are looking for any special spices, coffees, or teas, it is best to bring those from home. We've already recommended the house to other friends, and are looking forward to planning a future stay."

- "The accommodation was very clean, very nice furniture and a well-supplied kitchen. Parking was right next to the building and a small pebble beach approximately 40 meters away. The building was surrounded by a beautiful garden with lots of flowers and natural shade. It is not far from Vis town with all the restaurants. Also the best beach (for me) Sreberna is only 10-15 minutes away by car. I really enjoyed the vacation with my family at this place and The owner Mirjana was very friendly and she gave us a lot of useful information about places to visit and best restaurants around. I would recommend it to everyone who is looking for a quiet place near to the beach. "
