Birch Haven is a beautiful, well appointed lakefront cottage on Horsefly Lake with approximately 1,150 sq feet of living space including a kitchen and 2 full bathrooms. Bright open concept living area with gorgeous lake views from the large windows. Two bedroom loft. Sleeps 6 comfortably, options for more. Large sundeck with outdoor furniture, small fridge and fire pit all at lake shore. Private dock to tie off your boat after an easy launch at the Provincial Park right across the lake. 220 ft of private waterfront with a gently sloping private pebble beach. Large yard with flat play areas. Washer, dryer, microwave and WiFi. Fully equipped, linens and towels included.

Horsefly Lake is a 55 km long pristine wilderness lake located in the Cariboo region of British Columbia, Canada and is situated about 80 km from Williams Lake, British Columbia and about 10 km from the historic Gold Rush village of Horsefly (population 1000). The lake and surrounding area offer many activities including fishing, boating, sailing, hiking, mountain biking, swimming, water sports, sightseeing, hunting, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling as well as creative appeal such as Arts on the Fly (music, dance and arts festival) in July.

The host was very flexible about check in and check out times.The only difficulty was that the host failed to send any information about the check in procedure, so I didn’t have a code for the lock box and the park office was closed. I sat outside in the cold for nearly an hour before being let in. I think this wouldn’t be an issue if the campground was more full and the office was open. Again, once this was settled, my stay was amazing! Very nourishing and relaxing."

The miniature mine site will be 500 sq ft and 3 ft deep, with all paydirt being brought from a Fraser River mine, pre-screened for big rocks, and not stressful on your gear. There is great flour gold through all this paydirt and you get a 50 sq ft area, 3 ft deep for your time here. If you are worried about a breakdown that you cant fix? We will have high quality machines availble to rent if that happens. Camp cook also available for additional $200 paid at time of arrival, supplying meals the whole week, and if you don't have an RV you may also rent a cabin 15 min away at Bowron Lake Resort.
