- "yes i like it" - "It's a great hotel. Very clean. Huge rooms. A bit far from the hottest venues and from the good restaurants. BUT the whole site is just great and Xalapa's taxi system is impeccable and very very low cost. The pool is exceptional (fresh water, without chlore). A little negative : where I had my room there was lots of unwanted noise as early as 6:00 AM, such as the huge ice machines, maintenance, etc. But overall, I would return there without hesitation. "

I kid the $120mx to upgrade to the buffet. DO NOT waste your money, the upgrade was just not worth it. There are plenty of nearly restaurants that offer much better breakfasts for the same price or less! All In all a great place to stay, just don’t lose your key and eat elsewhere and it will be a great stay!"

Someone answered in Spanish (sorry my Spanish is not good), and of course I won't be able to Google Translate to show them what I wanted. They did not let me in. Wait until someone came out from the door then I went inside to see if I can talk to the front desk. There was only a girl (I believe she is the room keeper) and she cannot speak any English. At the end I used my google translate to communicate with her and she told me the check in time is 2pm. No one offered me to keep my luggage so I have to drag my luggage with me (the roads is not flat and lots of steps). So I went back to the hotel at 2pm and rang the bell. They did not let me in and until a guy came out and asked my booking (with Expedia). I said yes so he let me in. So whole check in process was weird. You can only reach them by phone (which no one speaks English). The room itself was clean and big. But it has no fridge. At night time and early morning the traffic noise is loud. Other than that they provide free parking inside the garage. I guess it is good for the local only but not too foreigner friendly."

We took the rafting experience organized and run by hotel staff and it was fantastic with great guides. The hotel personnel were super friendly and accommodating. My wife and son had Alzeimer moments during our stay. My wife left her smartphone by the pool. It was picked up and returned to her almost immediately. My son then left his iPad in the cabin when we left teh hotel. A phone call from home confirmed the room-maid had found it and it was promptly express shipped out to us. We couldn't ask for more attention! Don't expect a 5 star Hilton experience at Aldearodovento but do expect an incredibly relaxing, back to nature, get away from the world experience. Will definitely go back when the chance comes up."
