They didn't answer messages and the number listed was to a car rental, which made me think at first it was a scam. They didn't respond until after I had contacted VRBO customer service, and they apologized because they don't get many listings on VRBO. We got there fine and were able to get in, but the place hadn't been cleaned in awhile, huge dust bunnies. Also weird things like the clean laundry was in plastic bags in the closet. It was also on the 2nd floor, which wasn't noted in the listing and no elevator, which is a problem for my aunt. In the end it is bare bones, run by a management company, and does the trick. The location is great. It was just very difficult to get in contact with host which for me is a no go when I'm traveling, and I prefer apartments that have some care in the upkeep. "

My appartment is located in a quiet and cozy part of Ålesund City Center. Short walk to restaurants, art museum and cafes. This is a great basecamp for exploring the amazing nature and outdoor activities in the region as well as the city center itself.

When you stay at my place you are free to use my books about hiking and activities. I want you to really explore the outdoors.

The space
Ålesund is probably the most beatiful town in Norway. Famous for its Art Nouveau architecture that was build in the centre after the fire in 1904.

Ålesund is a good starting point for exploring the mountains and the fjords nearby.

My place is an apartment in one of the Art Nouveau buildings in town. It is on the second floor. Parking possibilities nearby.

The apartment is fully equipped with kitchen appliances that you need for cooking yourself a nice meal.

Guest have the whole apartment to themselves. They will also have access to my washing machine in the basement.

The apartment is located in the heart of the city center, and is only a short walk to everything you would want to see in the city of Aalesund.
The house where the apartment is on the 2nd floor of is one of the city's many Jugendhus (Art Nouveau style) built in 1904 after most of the city burned down. Like most of the houses from this time, this is also refurbished and built inside several times since it was built.

The space
The room is one of three bedrooms in a large apartment in the city center. Kitchen and bathroom are shared with the other two rooms, if they are rented out. There is also access to a large common area with seating and dining area.

Guest access
In addition to the usual facilities of the apartment, there is also the possibility of access to the work area and meeting rooms for up to 8 people on the same floor.
So if you are on a business trip or for some reason need this just let us know and we will reserve this room for you.

During your stay
Upon arrival you will be met by one of us personally who will show you around in the apartment and give you all the information you need. In addition, there is also a welcome folder which contains a lot of practical information, as well as tips on where to eat and what to see.

Other things to note
One of us (Rolf) and some other person have a office at the same floor, and will sometimes use the bathroom and kitchen.
When I'm at the office I'm easy to reach for questions and help, so just let me know.

The room is located on the corner of the building with a good view of several streets in the area. The location is right in the heart of Ålesund city center, and is only a short walk to most of the attractions in the city. There is also a short distance to bus (250 m) and the tourist information office (about 700 m).

This is a large room (22 m2) located on the 3rd floor of the building.
In the building otherwise there are also permanent studios,
and on the floor below, there is also room for short term rent.

Cozy flat in the heart of the city with the Norwegian Fjord at your door step. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you would need for shorter as well as longer stays.

The townhouse on which the room is located is located 12 minutes walk to the center of the center, or about 1000 m. There are most of the attractions in town here.
It is 70 m to the nearest bus stop and 450 m to the nearest grocery store.
The room is one of 5 rooms in a student dormitory. The kitchen and the 2 bathrooms are shared with the other rooms. There is also a shared loft with TV.

The space
The apartment is one of a total of 5 bedrooms in a townhouse in central Ålesund.
The kitchen is shared with the other rooms if these are rented out.
There is access to 2 bathrooms where both have a shower, and in the basement there is also a washing machine and dryer.
On the second floor where this room is located there is also an area with dining table and chairs.
In the attic there is a separate TV room with TV and seating area.
On the south side of the house there is a veranda with outdoor furniture. From here there is a good view of the fjord and mountains.
Here is also the gate into the backyard and the entrance hall, and its own outside stall, so
bicycles or other outdoor equipment can also be placed here.
