- "Great location. Parking space on car park to the rear. Spotlessly clean. William the receptionist / caretaker was excellent. Has everything you need. However, it sells itself as a luxury apartment and it doesn’t live up to it. Eg. In the bedroom there is only one bedside table and lamp. On one corner of the bed there is only six inches in which to get past. The wardrobe is not great quality and the sliding door comes of it’s rail easily. ( can also be put back easily but.. ) in the living room the settee is ok but not the most comfortable. Also no welcome pack unless you count a few sachets of coffee, tea and milk, which I don’t. Considering the cost of renting this place a little remiss. Whilst we enjoyed Castletown we won’t return the Halvaard Appt."

Thank you!" - "Disk parking non-fri 8am-6pm Nice area, nice apartment. " - "A very pleasing stay the only downside was the 4 flight's of stairs to get to the room. The toilet seat was loose and a few things in the rooms needing improving like the kitchen lino that wasn't laid properly but above all a nice hotel with great views of Douglas Harbour."

- "This is a very lovely cottage, right next to the sea. The location is very quiet, with an outstanding view across Ramsey Bay and the comings and goings of the ships. The cottage is well laid out and tastefully furnished. The bed was comfortable, and there was adequate hanging/storage space. The bathroom is well laid out, and easy to keep clean. The kitchen is well equipped for a self catering holiday. And the sauna was an unexpected bonus!"

- "Gorgeous home with amazing views! Lovely stay with friends and would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay or a staycation here on Island!" - "Due a last minute unforeseen drama at the start of a different holiday, we put an emergency call in to Island Escapes, out of hours to see if we could secure this property. Not only was it available but they went out of their way to get it ready within the hour! The place is amazing, it's a busy road outside but you could hear the vehicles and the property is raised enough that the view out to sea want obscured. Bedroom layout made sense and the master bedroom was just amazing with incredible views to see when you wake. The weather wasn't great which made the stay dramatic, with waves crashing over the road in front but that really made the stay more enjoyable because it was breathtaking to see the power of the waves, even with some hefty stone protection on the shore. This is a property where you can isolate yourselves and still be minutes from a town or pub. We will return."

- "Maggie's cottage is an amazing tranquil contemporary cottage, with stunning views of the surrounding Greeba Valley. We were welcomed by Fliss and Phil, who are great hosts. The cottage is well equipped for a short, or longer stay and we felt right at home immediately. The location is great for exploring the Isle of Man, being quite central, you are only 15-20 minutes away from Douglas, Peel, Laxey, and Castle Town. Likewise Phil recommended a couple of good pubs, and local walking locations, which we gave a go and they didn't disappoint! In all we really enjoyed our stay, and Maggie's cottage is first on the list to book, when we head back to the Isle of Man in future."

- "As a family of 8, we really enjoyed our stay at Bradda Place. It was extremely comfortable and we loved being able to eat together in the kitchen. We had plenty of room. The shops were less than a 5 minute walk from the house and the beach was across the street and down steps. We couldn't have asked for anything more!" - "We really enjoyed our accommodation at Bradda Place - Everything was spotlessly clean, the beds very comfortable - excellent kitchen fully equipped and great space. A lovely welcome pack was so good to see when we arrived. We had one little negative which was the water pressure in the shower (but bathrooms were absolutely clean and modern) - I would have enjoyed a few extra pillows but overall I am very happy to recommend this accommodation and I hope I will get to stay there again in the future."

- "A fantastic apartment that has everything that is needed, it is well maintained with good bedding and very comfortable beds. Handy for the town and pub. Recommend local restaurants- Andreas and Boathouse." - "We rented the property for 4 nights between vacating our property in Port St Mary and emigrating from the island. It provided a comforting base for the four of us and all our luggage! The only criticism I would have was that you could not increase the shower temperature and so we found the water tepid. The bedrooms are also quite cold, even with the heating on. I'm not sure if its because they're at the back of the property because the lounge area was lovely and warm. I would include a few blankets for the beds. The bathroom off the passage needs more ventilation as there's a damp smell in it. Otherwise the apartment is very well equipped and the sunny lounge/dining/kitchen provides a lovely spot from which to enjoy and view!"

- "The accommodation was fantastic, perfect location for visiting the Island. Very comfortable, spotlessly clean set in a beautiful garden. Would highly recommended to all looking for a place to stay!" - "My friend and I booked the apartment for the crown green bowling festival week. There is plenty of safe private parking and a quiet rural location. Everything we needed provided and a warm welcome from the owner. Just one small thing was that the bed duvets were probably winter tog. As we stayed in mid summer they were too warm and summer ones would be an improvement. Wold definitely book again."

Wyllin Cot is a delightful 18th century fisherman's cottage, nestled in the hamlet of Glen Wyllin and is steeped in history. Glen Wyllin started out life as a mill and Wyllin means ‘mill’ in Manx. The cottage was built in the 18th century and has been restored sympathetically to maintain original character with modern day luxuries. It is situated in a conservation area where there are immediate walks on your door step. You can take a lovely wooded riverside walk in Coooildarry Nature Reserve which is owned by the Manx Wildlife Trust or down to the beach and along the coast.
You are spoilt for choice in Wyllin Cot as you can either completely relax in the cottage and on those colder days you can curl up next to the log burner. If you are more of an adventurous type and like to be out and about exploring there are plenty of mountain bike trails, lots of tarmac for those road cyclists or for motor bike enthusiasts with immediate access to the Isle of Man TT course. For walkers the Raad Ny Foillan coastal footpath or up into the hills and all without jumping into a car!
Inside you will find a very cute little cottage! There is a lounge/kitchen with a downstairs toilet and wash room and upstairs the Master bedroom with a shower/bath (sit down shower) and next door your dressing room with hair dryer, straighteners and clothes hangers/storage. We can for a small child put a pull out bed in the dressing room if it is needed. The cottage has the option of a small sofa bed in a second bedroom, suitable for a small child.
Indulge in the luxury deep bath in the bedroom with sit in bath shower and a traditional non-plumbed jug and wash basin next to the bath in the bedroom, toilet and sink downstairs. Please note the washing facilities wouldn’t suit anyone with mobility issues as you need to be able to step into the bath.
Situated across the lane from the house and originally set up by 2 entrepreneurs in the late 1800s, when the railway ran into Glen Wyllin, as a Victorian garden with a tea room. Rare plants were brought into the garden to thrive into this area which is now owned by the cottage. A beautiful and large wild garden with a river running alongside provides the perfect setting for you to unwind.

- "We had a very enjoyable winter stay at this cottage, which made a good base for exploring the Island on the bus network (there is a stop on the main road, quite nearby). The cottage itself is small but cosy and we enjoyed the log burner and comfortable bathtub. There was a problem with the boiler while we were staying which was resolved with excellent service from Island Escapes." - "What a gorgeous little cottage! Although the weather was against us, the cottage was so cosy to come back to after a day of adventures, the log burner had us toasty warm and comfortable in minutes! Wyllin Cott provided everything we could possibly need, the kitchen was well equipped, from potato peeler to coffee pod machine and the use of space was ingenious. We found the bedroom to be very comfortable, we took our 6 year old too who slept like a log in his little bed and particularly loved playing the board games provided in front of the fire while the wind was howling outside. We popped over to the lovely garden in our wellies and can imagine it would be gorgeous in the summer. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already recommended it to lots of people. Thanks for having us!"

Located directly on the sea front and just 15 minutes walk from Douglas centre this ground floor apartment provides spacious, hi-quality, accommodation consisting of two double bedrooms (one with en-suite facilities), master bathroom, open plan dining / lounge area and separate kitchen along with onsite parking. In addition the property benefits from double opening patio doors, off the lounge area, onto an enclosed sea facing patio area.
Within 5 minutes walk either way, along the sea front, from the apartment are two local inns which serve food and have a warm and inviting atmosphere. There are plenty of other local shops and restaurants just a few more minutes walk away and a supermarket is within easy reach. Regular buses, along with the ‘Horse and Trams’, pass the apartment door and it is a short 5 minute walk the Electric Railway.
Douglas itself is the largest town on the Isle of Man and also it’s capital providing plenty of entertainment and attractions for visitors. Located at the mouth of the River Douglas, which forms part of the towns harbour along with a sweeping bay of around two miles which provides the sandy beach directly opposite the apartment.
The Isle of Man is famed for the Isle of Man TT motorcycle race which runs each year from the end of May into early June attracting large crowds to the island. Our apartment is located approximately 10 minutes walk from the TT grandstand and available for rent throughout the TT duration… however be quick as accommodation on the Island is in short supply during the Isle of Man TT.
- "We stayed in this property for 9 nights during TT 2023.. fabulous apartment with an ideal location on Douglas promenade…really couldn’t fault it" - "We had an amazing second stay here. Excellent facilities and lots of space. A useful base when visiting for Bowls Festival" - "We had an excellent, hassle-free stay in Douglas." - "Poor communication from booking agent. Little info abt apartment or arrival procedure. Or facilities at apartment. Turned out fine but could have been better informed pre arrival."

Waverley Cottage is a delightful single storey self-catering holiday cottage located in Laxey, Isle of Man, just a few minutes walk from the beach and harbour.
Sleeping six people across three bedrooms, it is perfect for a family group, it's also dog friendly with one small dog allowed. The property also has a large south facing sunny garden, with parking for up to three vehicles on the drive.
Laxey is a wonderful village about 10-15 minutes drive from the ferry at Douglas and about 30-40 minutes from the airport. Waverley Cottage is just a short walk to shops, pubs and the famous Manx Electric Railway! In fact, the cottage is located just under the tram bridge and you can hear the quaint toot-toot of the old Victorian trams. Why not catch a tram to take you into either Douglas, Ramsey or up to Snaefell summit.
Laxey harbour is about a 5 - 10 minute walk and has a great beach. Laxey beach is a firm favourite with locals and visitors alike, watch the kayakers, paddleboarders and sea swimmers take to the water in the summer months, and in the winter simply enjoy watching the waves roll in! At the end of the Promenade is The Shed – rapidly establishing itself as one of the go-to destinations on the Island for coffee and cakes, with comfy outdoor seating and plenty of throws and blankets to keep any chill away.

- "Waverley is extremely comfortable and well equipped (although no Washing Machine which could be a problem for some). The location is near perfect for Laxey tram station which has connections to all parts of the island. Although limited Pub/Restaurant availability at time of our visit this is to greatly improve with the imminent refurbishment of the Shore Hotel in Laxey. We would certainly like to return to this property at some future date. This was our fourth visit to IOM since 2007 and by far the best!"
