- "The HQ restaurant was exceptional. They had a special TT menu, and I can tell you it was prepared with Michelin style attention The staff made our stay really great, with a special acknowledgment to Phil and the Chef The hotel was historic, and historically old. But still grateful for the stay while at TT. " - "It is a difficult time in the service industry to get enough employees. Everyone is doing their very best but it does make for challenging travel everywhere. Lots of shorter hours or closed dining. The building I stayed in was very nice and I hope to go and stay there again very soon. "

- "The apartment was amazing. I went with my family and we had a great time. Very clean, has all amenities etc A very responsive host. Extended our check out time at a short notice to help me catch up on an urgent work call. Very close to everything you need on the Island. My wife asked if I could give 10 stars, but can't because the score ends at 5😄" - "Arrandale House and Apartments accommodation was our base for a week's holiday for our family of 4. We stayed in a 2 bedroom self catering apartment which was very spacious, clean and well-kitted out. The apartment is walking Distance to and from Douglas Beach, shops and all public transport stops. We had a great week - top ratings on all counts. I would suggest putting a small fan in each of the rooms as the appartment did tend to get hot at times."

- "Nice spacious room on the top floor. Big bathroom and lots of storage. Very clean. Bed is a bit small, especially for the size of the room, but definitely comfortable. It's a little dated and old fashioned, but in a good way. It doesn't feel like one of a hundred identical hotels. No pretentions, just a very good, comfortable place to stay." - "The hotel was easy to get to from the airport with the bus stop just ouside. Check in was easy and quick. Room was big and clean. It is well-located and close to the promenade. The breakfasts set me up well for each day." - "Really good stay.Excellent breakfast that set me up for the rest of the day. Sharon is a great host. Clean and comfortable accommodation." - "After a difficult start trying to work out how to activate the keypad to enter the building, we ended up having to call the proprietor. After managing to enter the property, we had another problem. Which one was our room? Another phone call! Apparently we were meant to have received a text a day earlier but I hadn't, but the text was resent and by now knew how to operate the key pad. Room was lovely. Actual plug sockets next to the beds. Plenty of tea and coffee supplies. No wardrobe, just a hang rail, ended up using the small cupboard under the tea and coffee, sharing my clothes with the iron and hairdryer! Bathroom was cosy, shall I say, but the shower was powerful and hot. WiFi was hit and miss, and that was after you ended up with the right password as the password in the welcome pack was wrong, but the person who texted me back with the right password acted like it was MY fault I got the password wrong and didn't reply when I told her what she texted me and what was printed was different. I couldn't remember if breakfast was included, but was pleased to see it mentioned in the welcome pack, served from 7.30-9.30. We got down there at 8.50, only to find a breakfast free room, despite signs telling us to "help ourselves" there wasn't even so much as a bowl of cornflakes! So we had to go into town and find a cafe. "

Anyone around 6ft and over needs to take care underneath the wooden beams (but low ceilings are common in these old farm type buildings). "

- "Great location. Parking space on car park to the rear. Spotlessly clean. William the receptionist / caretaker was excellent. Has everything you need. However, it sells itself as a luxury apartment and it doesn’t live up to it. Eg. In the bedroom there is only one bedside table and lamp. On one corner of the bed there is only six inches in which to get past. The wardrobe is not great quality and the sliding door comes of it’s rail easily. ( can also be put back easily but.. ) in the living room the settee is ok but not the most comfortable. Also no welcome pack unless you count a few sachets of coffee, tea and milk, which I don’t. Considering the cost of renting this place a little remiss. Whilst we enjoyed Castletown we won’t return the Halvaard Appt."

A mix up on the booking, my fault, was quickly eased by the fabulous host who went out of her way to make everything good for us. Thank you!" - "Disk parking non-fri 8am-6pm Nice area, nice apartment. " - "A very pleasing stay the only downside was the 4 flight's of stairs to get to the room. The toilet seat was loose and a few things in the rooms needing improving like the kitchen lino that wasn't laid properly but above all a nice hotel with great views of Douglas Harbour."

- "This is a very lovely cottage, right next to the sea. The location is very quiet, with an outstanding view across Ramsey Bay and the comings and goings of the ships. The cottage is well laid out and tastefully furnished. The bed was comfortable, and there was adequate hanging/storage space. The bathroom is well laid out, and easy to keep clean. The kitchen is well equipped for a self catering holiday. And the sauna was an unexpected bonus!"

- "The facilities, location and hospitality of the hosts made our stay at Elgin Retreat the perfect second week to our holiday. As part of a two station break, staying near Ramsey enabled us to explore the northern end of the island. Advice, tips and suggestions of places to visit by the owners of Elgin Retreat fully met our interests, and were much appreciated, without which we would have struggled to discover many local attractions especially in respect of the islands natural history. Their dedication to ensuring we had such a lovely time went beyond our expectations. Thankyou so much."

- "Gorgeous home with amazing views! Lovely stay with friends and would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay or a staycation here on Island!" - "Due a last minute unforeseen drama at the start of a different holiday, we put an emergency call in to Island Escapes, out of hours to see if we could secure this property. Not only was it available but they went out of their way to get it ready within the hour! The place is amazing, it's a busy road outside but you could hear the vehicles and the property is raised enough that the view out to sea want obscured. Bedroom layout made sense and the master bedroom was just amazing with incredible views to see when you wake. The weather wasn't great which made the stay dramatic, with waves crashing over the road in front but that really made the stay more enjoyable because it was breathtaking to see the power of the waves, even with some hefty stone protection on the shore. This is a property where you can isolate yourselves and still be minutes from a town or pub. We will return."
